King Tide

Harbor pilot Iona Greaves is hired to guide a survey yacht through a fog-choked channel during king-tide week. When she discovers unmarked stone cairns blocking the route, she reports them, only to be confronted by Stellan Bridger of the Saltwake Pack. The cairns mark sacred breeding grounds tied to ancient rites, and Stellan offers her a stark choice: remain through the week to protect her license and the marina project, or leave and watch everything she values be destroyed. Iona stays to safeguard her career and the waters she knows intimately. What begins as professional resolve draws her into the pack's world, where scent bonds form, ancient traditions unfold on the black rocks, and the sea itself begins to feel like home. As the turning takes hold and her role as channel-keeper emerges, Iona must decide where her true loyalty lies amid rising tides and deepening connections.
