Tower Season

Veteran fire lookout Harrison Elwood anticipates another solitary summer in his remote mountain tower. Instead, the Forest Service pairs him with Paul Reimer, a city photographer seeking temporary escape. When a storm forces them to share the cramped cabin and split watch duties, the isolation strips away their defenses. Over weeks of quiet routines, shared danger, and deepening conversations, an unexpected connection forms. Both men must confront what they want before the season ends and they return to separate lives below the ridge. This slow-burn story explores solitude, vulnerability, and the courage to choose companionship.
