Exposure and First Service
The email arrived late that afternoon. A single line from Garren Elwood's assistant. Mr. Elwood requests your presence in his office. Promptly. No context. No agenda.
Issandra Ford stared at the screen, her stomach doing something unpleasant. She checked her reflection in the dark monitor. Lipstick still fresh. Blouse still tucked. The campaign numbers were solid this quarter. She had nothing to worry about.
Except she did. She always did.
She smoothed her pencil skirt as she walked the hallway on the thirty-seventh floor. The executive wing smelled like leather and money. Garren's door was closed. She knocked twice, the sound too loud in the quiet corridor.
"Come in."
His voice was calm. Professional. That didn't reassure her.
She pushed the door open and stepped inside. Garren sat behind his massive mahogany desk, sleeves rolled to his elbows, gray eyes fixed on her with the kind of focus that made people confess to things they hadn't done. The blinds were half drawn. The city skyline glittered behind him.
"You wanted to see me, Garren?"
"Close the door. And sit."
She did, settling into the chair across from him. Her legs crossed at the ankle, posture perfect, smile ready.
He didn't smile back. Instead he picked up a manila folder and placed it on the desk between them. It was thick. Too thick.
"Do you know what this is?"
"No, sir." The sir slipped out. She hadn't meant to say it.
Garren opened the folder. Inside were printouts. Screenshots. Copies of emails. She recognized her own name in the sender field. Recognized the flirtatious tone she used with clients. The little jokes. The double entendres. The invitations for drinks that blurred the line between business and something else.
"Mark from Henderson Group," Garren said, his voice flat. "You sent him a photo of yourself at a charity gala. Black dress. Low cut. The caption reads 'Wish you were here to keep me company.'"
Issandra's cheeks warmed. "That was just friendly. He's a good client."
"Friendly." Garren turned a page. "What about the dinner with Patricia Chen? You called her 'the most charming woman in procurement' and told her you'd love to 'discuss terms in private.'"
"She's a lesbian. I was being warm."
"You were being strategic. I know the difference." He flipped more pages. "Roger from TechVault. You let him kiss you at the holiday party. I saw the security footage."
Her heart hammered. "That was one time. He initiated."
"You didn't stop him. You leaned in." Garren closed the folder. His eyes were hard. "Do you know what happens when a client files a complaint against an account executive for inappropriate conduct, Issandra?"
She opened her mouth. Closed it. Her throat felt dry.
"Termination," he said. "Immediate. With cause. No severance. No reference. And in your case, given the pattern, likely a report to the industry board."
"Garren, please." Her voice cracked. "I was just trying to close deals. You know how competitive it is out there. I was using what I had."
"Using what you had." He leaned back in his chair. "You were gambling with this company's reputation. With my reputation. Every time you sent a suggestive text or wore a blouse unbuttoned one button too low, you put this firm at risk."
She wanted to argue. Wanted to point out that her numbers were good. That clients loved her. That she had brought in three million in new business this quarter alone.
But he had the folder. He had the evidence. And he had the power.
"What are you going to do?" she whispered.
Garren studied her for a long moment. The clock on his wall ticked. The air conditioning hummed. She felt like a specimen under glass.
"I could terminate you," he said slowly. "It would be clean. Simple. You'd be gone by end of day."
She nodded, her eyes stinging.
"Or." He let the word hang. "I could offer you an alternative."
Her breath caught. "What kind of alternative?"
Garren stood. He walked around the desk and leaned against the front edge, arms crossed. From this angle he towered over her. She had to tilt her head up to meet his eyes.
"I've been watching you for two years, Issandra. You're clever. You're ambitious. And you have a talent for using your body to get what you want." He paused. "That talent doesn't have to be a liability. It can be an asset. If it's properly managed."
"Managed how?"
"We create a new position. Special client relations. You report directly to me. Your primary responsibility is client satisfaction. Intimate satisfaction. You service key accounts as I direct, using all the skills you've been deploying without authorization. But now they're authorized. Controlled. Disciplined."
Issandra's mind raced. "You're asking me to be a... a prostitute for the company?"
"I'm offering you a job that utilizes your natural strengths in a structured environment. You'll be compensated accordingly. And you'll keep your career." He tilted his head. "Or you can clean out your desk in the next hour."
She looked at her hands. Her manicured nails. The ring she wore on her right hand. A gift from her mother. The woman who thought Issandra was a successful businesswoman.
"I don't have a choice," she said quietly.
"You always have a choice. But one choice keeps you employed and the other destroys your career." Garren's voice softened, just slightly. "I'm not your enemy, Issandra. I'm offering you a path forward. A path that works for both of us."
She looked up at him. His gray eyes were unreadable. But there was something there. A flicker of anticipation.
"What would it involve? Day to day."
"You'll maintain your current title and salary. You'll attend meetings. You'll manage accounts. But when I direct you to provide service, you'll provide it. Without question. Without hesitation. In whatever location and manner I specify."
"And if I say no to a specific request?"
"Then we revisit the termination option." He said it simply. Not as a threat. Just a fact.
Issandra swallowed. Her pulse was loud in her ears. Every instinct told her to run. To refuse. To fight.
But the folder was there. The evidence was there. And she had spent her entire adult life building this career.
"Okay," she said. The word came out barely audible.
"Say it clearly."
"Okay. I accept the position."
Garren nodded. He stood and walked back behind his desk. "Good. Then we'll begin immediately."
"Now?"
"Now." He sat down in his leather chair and gestured to the space beneath the desk. "Come here."
Issandra's legs felt weak as she stood. She walked around the desk, her heels clicking on the hardwood floor. She stopped beside his chair.
"Kneel."
She hesitated. One second. Two. Then she lowered herself to her knees. The carpet was thick and soft beneath her. Her skirt stretched tight across her thighs, riding up as she settled.
Garren unzipped his trousers. He wasn't wearing anything underneath. He was already hard, his cock thick and flushed, curving upward slightly with arousal. The sight of him made her breath catch. She'd wondered, in idle moments, what he might look like. Now she knew.
"This is your first service," he said. "You will satisfy me. And then you will return to your desk and continue your workday. Understood?"
"Yes."
"Yes what?"
"Yes, sir."
"Good girl." He guided her head toward him. "Show me what those skills look like when they're properly directed."
Issandra closed her eyes. She opened her mouth. And she began.
The taste of him was salt and skin. She took him as deep as she could, her lips stretching around his girth, her tongue tracing the sensitive underside of his shaft. His hand settled on the back of her head, not forcing, just resting. A reminder.
She focused on the mechanics. The rhythm. The way he breathed above her. The creak of his chair as he leaned back. The distant sound of traffic from the street below.
He didn't speak. He didn't grunt or groan. He just let her work, his fingers occasionally stroking through her hair, a silent acknowledgment of her effort.
Minutes passed. Her jaw ached. Her knees pressed into the carpet. But she kept going. Because stopping wasn't an option. Because this was her job now.
When he came, it was with a soft exhale. His hand tightened on her head, holding her in place. She swallowed. She didn't have a choice.
He released her. She pulled back, gasping slightly. Her lipstick was smeared. Her eyes were wet.
Garren tucked himself back into his trousers. He pulled a tissue from a box on his desk and handed it to her. "Clean up."
She took it. Wiped her mouth. Fixed her lipstick as best she could.
"Your next meeting is with the Johnson account," he said, his voice back to business. "I expect you to be professional. Focused. We'll discuss your schedule for the rest of the week tomorrow morning."
"Yes, sir."
"Good. You can go."
She stood. Her legs were unsteady. She smoothed her skirt, straightened her blouse, and walked to the door. Her hand was on the handle when his voice stopped her.
"Issandra."
She turned.
"You did well. For a first time." He was looking at his computer screen, already typing. "Don't disappoint me."
She nodded. She opened the door. She walked out into the hallway, past the assistant's desk, past the water cooler, past the conference room where a meeting was still going.
She made it to her desk. Sat down. Opened her email.
Her hands were shaking.
But underneath the shock, underneath the humiliation, underneath the terror of what she had just agreed to, there was something else. A small, quiet thing she didn't want to acknowledge.
She had done well. He had said so.
And part of her wanted to hear him say it again.
