Arrival at Paradise

Megan Carter twisted in the backseat of the SUV, her long wavy blonde hair catching the sunlight streaming through the window. College had been a monumental bore. Endless lectures from professors who droned on about nothing that mattered, parties filled with clumsy boys who came too fast and begged for more. She was nineteen, rich enough that her parents barely noticed her credit card bills, and utterly starved for something real. Something dangerous. Something that would make her pulse thunder and her thighs clench with genuine need.

She had known exactly what she wanted the moment Hannah invited her on this family vacation. Hannah’s father. Michael Carter. The man currently gripping the steering wheel with those large, veined hands that looked capable of pinning a girl down and making her forget her own name. Megan’s green eyes traced the line of his broad shoulders beneath the simple gray polo shirt. Fifty-two years old. Silver threading through his dark hair. A jaw like it had been carved from stone. Perfect.

“You okay back there, Megan?” Michael asked, his deep voice cutting through the hum of the tires on the highway. He glanced at her in the rearview mirror. Their eyes met. She let her lips curve into an innocent smile.

“Just thinking how lucky I am you guys let me tag along, Mr. Carter. My parents are off in Europe again. Another business trip. I would’ve died of boredom in that empty house.” She stretched her toned legs, her tiny denim shorts riding up her sun-kissed thighs. “This is going to be way more fun.”

Hannah, squeezed in beside her, bounced with her usual bubbly energy. “Right? Two whole weeks at the beach house. No classes, no soccer practice, just sun and waves. Dad, tell Megan about the infinity pool. She’s going to freak.”

Michael chuckled, the sound low and warm. “It’s nothing too fancy. Just a place to relax. Laura picked most of the details.”

Laura Carter sat in the passenger seat, her auburn hair perfectly styled even after hours in the car. She turned slightly, offering Megan a polite but measured smile. “We’re happy to have you, dear. Hannah talks about you nonstop. Just try to keep the noise down after ten. The walls carry sound at the beach house.”

Megan nodded sweetly, but inside she thrilled at the information. Walls that carry sound. Good to know. She leaned forward between the front seats, letting her perky C-cup breasts press against the console. The neckline of her thin white tank top dipped just enough. “Mr. Carter, what’s your favorite thing to do at the beach? You look like you’d be amazing in the water. All that construction work must keep you so strong.”

Michael’s eyes flicked to her cleavage for half a second before returning to the road. Megan caught it. The tiniest tightening of his jaw. The way his fingers adjusted on the wheel. He dismissed it almost immediately, clearing his throat. “Swimming, mostly. Helps clear the head. And you, Megan? College girl like you must have the boys chasing you up and down the sand.”

She laughed, light and teasing. “Boys are boring. I like a man who knows what he’s doing.” The words hung there, wrapped in faux innocence. Hannah snorted beside her, oblivious as always. Laura’s shoulders stiffened just slightly. Michael said nothing, but Megan watched the back of his neck flush. The first tiny crack. She sat back, satisfied, and watched the coastline appear on the horizon.

The beach house rose like a sleek white palace against the turquoise water. Palm trees swayed in the warm breeze. The air smelled of salt and blooming hibiscus. Megan stepped out of the car and stretched, arching her back so her tank top rode up to reveal a strip of taut, golden stomach. Michael unloaded the bags from the trunk, his biceps flexing against the weight of her oversized suitcase. She moved to help him, deliberately brushing her fingers over the back of his hand as she grabbed the handle.

The contact sent a spark straight between her legs. His skin was warm, rough from years of real work. She let her touch linger a fraction too long. “Thanks for carrying the heavy one, Mr. Carter. You make it look easy.”

He met her eyes. For a moment she saw it there, the flicker of awareness. A man noticing the tight, youthful body of his daughter’s best friend. Then he blinked and it was gone, replaced by polite distance. “No problem. Let’s get you girls settled.”

Inside, the house was pure luxury. Soaring ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the private beach, a kitchen that belonged in a magazine. Laura moved through it with the confidence of someone used to directing things. “Hannah, you’re in the blue room upstairs. Megan, I thought the guest room on the main floor would suit you. It’s right beside the master suite. The view is incredible, and the bed is very comfortable.”

Megan hid her triumphant smile. Right beside the master. She could practically hear Michael’s breathing through the wall if she tried. “That sounds perfect, Mrs. Carter. I’m sure I’ll sleep like a baby with the ocean right there.” She grabbed her suitcase and followed Michael down the hallway, watching the way his fit dad bod moved beneath his clothes. Strong back. Tight ass for a man his age. Her mind already spun with possibilities.

In the guest room, pale blue walls and crisp white linens greeted her. The sliding glass door opened directly onto a wooden deck that wrapped around to the master suite’s private patio. Too easy. Michael set her suitcase on the bed. Megan stepped close to him, closer than necessary, reaching past him for the zipper. Her breast grazed his forearm. Soft, firm, unmistakably young.

“Oops. Sorry,” she murmured, not sorry at all. She looked up at him through her lashes. “These rooms are so narrow. Easy to bump into someone.”

Michael cleared his throat and stepped back. “Plenty of space once you unpack. I’ll leave you to it.” His voice had gone slightly rough. He noticed her. The smooth skin, the tight athletic body honed by yoga and cheer, the way her green eyes promised trouble. He dismissed it, of course. He was a good man. A loyal husband. But Megan had seen the micro-expression. The hunger beneath the gentleman. She filed it away like a weapon.

That evening they gathered for dinner on the wide deck. Michael had grilled fresh fish and vegetables while Laura prepared a crisp salad. The sun dipped low, painting everything in rose and gold. Megan had changed into a short sundress that hugged her toned figure and showed off her long legs. She sat directly across from Michael, crossing her legs slowly so the hem rode high on her thigh.

“This is incredible, Mr. Carter,” she said, taking a bite and letting out a soft moan of appreciation. “The fish is perfect. And honestly, you look like you could model for one of those outdoor magazines. All that gym time really shows. Your shoulders are huge.”

Hannah laughed. “Megan, stop. You’re going to make Dad blush.”

But Michael did flush, just a little. He shifted in his seat. “Just stay active. Keeps the dad bod at bay.”

Laura’s fork paused halfway to her mouth. “Michael’s always been disciplined. It’s one of his better qualities.” The words carried the faintest edge. Megan smiled sweetly at her, then let her gaze drift back to Michael, holding it a beat too long. She watched him swallow, watched the way his strong hands tightened around his glass. Seeds planted. She could almost see them taking root in the warm evening air.

After dinner, as the sky turned deep indigo and the first stars appeared, Hannah begged for a beach walk. Laura declined, claiming she wanted to unpack properly and read. Megan volunteered immediately. “I’ll come. I love the beach at night. Mr. Carter, you should show us the best path. You know this place better than anyone.”

Michael hesitated, but Hannah hooked her arm through his. “Yeah, Dad. Come on. Family bonding.”

The three of them descended the wooden steps to the sand. The ocean whispered against the shore, warm waves licking at their feet. Megan slipped off her sandals and carried them, letting her toes sink into the cool sand. She positioned herself on Michael’s right side, close enough that their arms nearly touched as they walked. Hannah chattered about college gossip, completely unaware of the undercurrent.

Megan waited for the perfect moment. When the path narrowed near a cluster of rocks, she let herself stumble slightly, pressing her body against Michael’s side. Her breast brushed his arm again, this time with deliberate slowness. The contact was electric. She felt her nipple tighten against the thin fabric of her dress.

“Whoops. The sand shifts so much at night,” she said softly, not moving away immediately. Her voice dropped, almost intimate. “You’re so steady though. I feel safe walking next to you, Mr. Carter.”

Michael’s breath hitched. She felt it. He steadied her with a hand at her elbow, strong fingers against her smooth skin. The touch lasted longer than it needed to. Then he released her as if burned. “Watch your step, Megan. Wouldn’t want you twisting an ankle on the first night.”

His voice had gone gravelly. Megan’s pulse raced with victory. She could see the conflict already forming behind his eyes, the way he kept his gaze firmly on the dark water instead of letting it drop to her legs or the way her dress clung to her ass in the breeze. He noticed her youthful allure. He wanted to look. But he was fighting it. Good. The fight would make his eventual surrender so much sweeter.

They walked farther down the beach. Hannah ran ahead to chase phosphorescence in the shallow waves, leaving Megan and Michael momentarily alone. Megan seized the moment, stepping closer again until their hips nearly brushed. The heat of his body radiated against her. She inhaled the scent of him, soap, sunscreen, and something distinctly masculine that made her pussy ache with anticipation.

“I’m really glad I came,” she whispered. “This vacation is going to be everything I needed. Don’t you think?”

Michael looked down at her. His chiseled jaw flexed. For a second she thought he might say something real. Instead he offered a polite smile that didn’t reach his eyes. “It’s good to have the house full again. Hannah’s happy you’re here.”

Megan smiled back, but inside she was already planning. The subtle touches. The innocent compliments. The way she would slowly dismantle every wall this loyal, responsible man had built around his marriage. By the time this vacation ended, Michael Carter would belong to her in every filthy way that mattered.

They turned back toward the lights of the beach house. Hannah rejoined them, laughing and breathless. Megan walked beside Michael the entire way, letting their arms brush with every other step. Each contact built the tension. Each glance she stole at the growing tightness in his jaw told her everything she needed to know.

Paradise had officially arrived. And Megan Carter was just getting started.
