Initial Consultation
The elevator doors slid open onto a hallway of polished marble and muted gold lighting. Brian Decker checked his phone again, confirming the office number. Suite 1200. His wife had filed that morning. No, his soon to be ex wife. He still couldn't say it without his stomach knotting.
He found the door, heavy oak with a brushed brass plate reading Brennan and Associates in clean sans serif. He pulled it open.
The reception area was empty. A desk sat against the far wall, neat and organized, a single pen holder and a phone. No receptionist. No signs of life. He stood there for a long moment, the silence pressing against his ears.
He cleared his throat. Nothing.
A glance at his watch showed he was five minutes early. Maybe she was in a meeting. He took a seat in one of the leather armchairs, the cushion firm and unyielding beneath him. The air smelled like old paper and something floral, something expensive.
Ten minutes passed. Then fifteen.
He was about to leave when a door at the end of the hall opened and a woman stepped out. She was tall, easily five ten in her heels, with dark hair pulled back so tight it looked painted onto her skull. Her suit was charcoal, perfectly cut, the jacket nipped at her waist and the skirt falling just above her knee. She wore no jewelry except a thin gold watch.
She looked at him like he was a stain on her carpet.
"You're early," she said.
"I'm sorry. I thought five minutes would be fine."
"It's not fine." She walked past him without stopping, her heels clicking a steady rhythm. "Come in. I don't have all day."
He followed her into an office that was all clean lines and cold elegance. A desk of dark wood, a single lamp, a window that looked out onto the city. She didn't sit behind the desk. She stood by the window, her back to him, her arms crossed.
"Close the door."
He did. He stood in the middle of the room, feeling like a child called to the principal's office.
"Sit."
He sat in the chair facing her desk. She still hadn't turned around.
"Your wife filed this morning," she said. It wasn't a question.
"Yes. How did you know?"
"I know everything about my potential clients before they walk through my door, Mr. Decker." She turned then, and her eyes were the color of winter clouds. "You're twenty six years old. You work at a startup called CodeBridge. You make one hundred forty thousand a year. You have thirty two thousand in savings, fifteen thousand in checking, and a 401k with sixty thousand dollars in it. You own a car worth eighteen thousand dollars. You have no other assets of significance."
He blinked. "How do you know all that?"
"I have a very good investigator." She sat down, finally, across from him. She leaned back in her chair and crossed her legs. "You also have a problem. Your wife has a very good lawyer. She's asking for full custody of the dog, the apartment, alimony. She's going to try to take everything you have."
His throat tightened. "That's why I'm here. I need help."
"You're going to need more than help, Mr. Decker. You need a strategy." She opened a drawer and pulled out a folder. "My retainer is fifteen thousand dollars. That covers the initial filing, discovery, and one motion. After that, I bill at six hundred dollars an hour."
Fifteen thousand. That was almost all of his checking account. He swallowed.
"I can do that."
"I know you can." She slid a form across the desk. "This is the retainer agreement. Read it through, then sign and date it. I'll need a cashier's check or a wire transfer before we start. The firm doesn't take credit cards."
He looked at the form. It was dense, full of legal language he couldn't parse. He looked up at her.
"Is this standard?"
"Mr. Decker." Her voice was flat. "I have three other clients waiting for my time. If you want my help, you'll sign. If you have questions, you can ask your wife's lawyer. I'm sure she'll be happy to explain everything."
The threat was clear. He picked up the pen.
He signed.
She took the form from him and set it aside without looking at it. Then she pulled out another form. Then another. The stack grew.
"This is an authorization for me to access your financial records. This is a power of attorney for the duration of the case. This is a waiver of attorney client privilege for communications with third parties. This is a consent to mediation arbitration and any other dispute resolution method I deem appropriate."
He stared at the stack. "That's a lot of forms."
"It's a lot of work. You want me to do it or not?"
He signed each one. She watched him, her eyes never leaving his face. When he finished, she took the stack and slid it into a drawer.
"Good." She stood up. "Now we can begin."
He stood too, not sure what was expected of him.
"Sit down." She pointed at the chair.
He lowered himself back into the seat.
She walked around the desk and stood in front of him. She was so close he could smell her perfume. Something floral and sharp. She looked down at him, and he felt very small.
"Let me explain how this is going to work, Mr. Decker." Her voice was soft, almost gentle. "I'm going to handle your case. I'm going to protect your interests. But you're going to do exactly what I say, when I say it. Is that clear?"
"Yes."
"Is that clear?" She repeated, her voice harder.
"Yes, Ms. Brennan."
"Good." She smiled, and it was the coldest thing he had ever seen. "Now, tell me about your marriage. Don't leave anything out."
He told her. About the fights, the silences that lasted for days. The way his wife had looked at him in those final months like she was already gone. He told her about the texts he had found, the ones she had sent to her sister, talking about how she was planning to leave. He told her about the dog, how much he loved it, how he couldn't lose it too.
She listened without expression. When he was done, she nodded once.
"You've made a mistake, Mr. Decker. You trusted her. You told her everything. You gave her access to your accounts. Your passwords. Your heart." She leaned down, her face close to his. "I won't make that same mistake. You'll trust me. You'll tell me everything. And you'll give me access to everything. Because I'm not her. I'm not going to leave you. I'm going to take care of you."
The words should have been comforting. They weren't. They felt like a door closing.
"Now, I need you to transfer the retainer." She handed him a slip of paper with the firm's account number on it. "You can do it from your phone."
He pulled out his phone and opened his banking app. His hands were shaking. He typed in the numbers, confirmed the transfer, and watched his balance drop from fifteen thousand to zero.
"Done," he said.
She looked at her phone, nodded. "Good. Now we have a contract. You're my client. I'm your lawyer. And you're going to learn that those two things mean exactly what I say they mean."
She walked back to her desk and sat down. The interview was over. He knew it without her saying it.
"Thank you, Ms. Brennan," he said, standing.
"Sit down." She didn't look up from her papers.
He sat.
"You don't leave until I tell you to leave. Is that clear?"
"Yes, Ms. Brennan."
She worked for another ten minutes, reading and making notes, ignoring him completely. He sat there, not daring to move. His phone buzzed. He ignored it. His leg started to fall asleep. He didn't shift.
Finally, she looked up.
"You can go now. I'll be in touch."
He stood and walked to the door, his legs unsteady beneath him. He turned back, wanting to say something, but she was already on her phone.
"Close the door behind you."
He closed it. The hallway was quiet. The elevator came. He rode down in silence, the numbers ticking past, and when he stepped out into the lobby of the building, everything looked the same. But nothing felt the same.
He had just signed away everything, and he had thanked her for it.
The thought should have terrified him. And it did. But underneath the fear, in a place he didn't want to acknowledge, there was something else. Something that felt like relief.

The thought should have terrified him. And it did. But underneath the fear, in a place he didn't want to acknowledge, there was something else. Something that felt like relief.
Discovery Phase
The morning after the retainer cleared, Brian sat in his apartment staring at his phone. The notification from his bank had come in just past seven. A wire transfer of fifteen thousand dollars to Brennan & Associates Trust Account. Processed. Complete. His stomach clenched as he read the confirmation email again, as if the words might rearrange themselves if he looked long enough.
He hadn't slept. The forms he'd signed kept cycling through his mind. He'd read them, mostly. Or at least he'd scanned them while Claudette Brennan watched him with those gray eyes that seemed to see right through his skull. She'd been patient. Professional. But there was something in the way she'd held his gaze a beat too long. Something in the way her lips curved when she said "standard procedure."
His phone buzzed. A text from an unknown number, but he knew it was her before he read the name.
"Mr. Decker. I need you in my office by noon. Bring your laptop. We're entering discovery phase."
No greeting. No pleasantries. Just a command.
He typed back: "I've got a meeting at one. Can we push to two?"
The reply came in under a minute. "Cancel it. Noon. Don't be late."
Brian stared at the screen. His fingers hovered over the keyboard. He wanted to push back. He had a sprint review with his team. His boss would notice if he skipped. But the memory of her voice, calm and final, echoed in his head. Authorization forms. Standard procedure. You're in good hands.
He typed: "Okay. Noon."
He didn't know why he felt like he'd just lost something.
Her office looked different in the midday light. Less intimidating. More like a normal workspace. But the moment he stepped inside and she closed the door behind him, the air changed. It felt thicker. Heavier. Like the room itself was holding its breath.
"Sit." She gestured to the chair across from her desk. She was already seated, her laptop open, a stack of papers beside her. Today she wore a charcoal suit with a silk blouse underneath, the top button undone. A thin gold necklace caught the light. Her hair was pulled back tight, making her cheekbones look even sharper.
He sat. He placed his laptop on the desk. She didn't smile.
"Let's start with your accounts," she said. "Every one of them. I need login credentials."
He blinked. "For what?"
"For the discovery phase. Your wife's attorney will request this information. I need to review it first so I can prepare responses. It's standard."
"Can't I just send you statements?"
Her eyes narrowed. "Mr. Decker. Do you want to win this case?"
"Of course."
"Then let me do my job. I can't protect what I can't see."
He hesitated. Everything in him screamed that this was wrong. That giving someone else access to his entire financial life was a mistake. But she was the expert. She was the one who'd handled hundreds of divorces. She knew what she was doing.
He opened his laptop. He typed in his bank credentials. He turned the screen toward her.
She leaned forward, reading. Her fingers moved across her own keyboard, and he heard the click of her mouse. "Good. Now the investment account."
He gave her that one too.
"Retirement."
He paused. "That's a 401k. It's protected."
"Nothing is protected in divorce, Mr. Decker. Not unless I know what we're working with."
He typed in the credentials. She copied them down. Her face was unreadable, but he saw her eyes move faster across the screen, cataloging, calculating. She was seeing everything. His savings. His stocks. The small inheritance his grandmother had left him.
"You have twenty-three thousand in liquid assets," she said. "Plus the forty-seven in your 401k. That's not a lot."
"I know."
"Your wife's attorney will argue she's entitled to half of everything accrued during the marriage. That's two years of your salary. Your retirement. Your savings."
"That's why I hired you."
She looked at him then. Really looked. Her eyes traveled over his face, his hands, his posture. He felt like a specimen under a microscope.
"Here's what I need you to understand," she said slowly. "Your wife's attorney will ask for temporary support. They'll ask for exclusive use of the marital home. They'll ask for freezing of all joint accounts. If they get that, you'll have nothing to live on until the divorce is final."
His throat tightened. "Then what do I do?"
"You transfer everything into my trust account. Now. Before they can freeze it."
He stared at her. "Everything?"
"Every liquid asset you have. I'll hold it in trust. Disburse it to you as needed for living expenses. It's the only way to protect it."
"But that's... that's all my money."
"Yes. And if you don't move it, your wife's attorney will take half of it next week when they file for temporary orders."
He felt like he was drowning. His chest was tight. His hands were shaking. He'd come to her for help, and she was telling him to give her everything.
"I don't..." He swallowed. "Isn't there another way?"
"There isn't." Her voice was flat. Final. "This is what you hired me for. To protect your assets. This is how I do it."
She slid a form across the desk. "This authorizes the transfer. Sign it."
He picked up the pen. His hand was trembling. He looked at the form, but the words blurred. He couldn't read them. He couldn't think. He just knew that if he signed this, he'd have nothing. No control. No safety net.
"Mr. Decker." Her voice cut through his panic. "Sign the form."
He signed.
She took the form, checked it, and nodded. Then she picked up her phone and made a call. She spoke quickly, using legal terms he didn't understand. He heard her say "wire transfer" and "immediate" and "confirm once complete."
When she hung up, she looked at him. "It's done. The funds are being transferred now. You'll receive a confirmation email within the hour."
He nodded. He didn't trust his voice.
"Now," she said, "I need you to cancel your credit cards."
"What?"
"Your wife's attorney will try to freeze them. If you cancel them now and open new accounts at a different bank, they can't touch them. It's standard asset protection."
"But I need my cards. I've got bills. I've got..."
"You'll have a new card issued within three business days. I'll hold it here for safekeeping. You can pick it up when you need it."
She handed him her phone. The number for his bank was already pulled up.
He took it. His fingers felt numb. He called the number. He went through the automated system. He spoke to a representative. He canceled his credit card. His debit card. His backup card.
"Is there anything else I can help you with, Mr. Decker?" the representative asked.
He looked at Claudette. She was watching him, her chin resting on her hand, a small smile playing at her lips.
"No," he said. "That's all."
He hung up. He handed her back the phone.
"Good," she said. "Now we're getting somewhere."
The afternoon passed in a blur. She had him log into every account. She had him transfer every balance. She had him close every line of credit. By the time the sun started to set, he had nothing. No cash. No cards. No credit. Every penny he owned was in her trust account.
She looked at her watch. "It's late. We're not done yet."
He was exhausted. His head ached. His eyes burned. "I need to go home."
"You'll go home when I'm finished with you."
She stood up and walked around the desk. She leaned against the front of it, facing him. She was close enough that he could smell her perfume. Something floral and sharp. Like her.
"You've been resistant today, Mr. Decker. I don't appreciate it."
"I wasn't resistant. I signed everything. I did everything you asked."
"You hesitated."
He opened his mouth to argue, but she held up a hand.
"Don't. I don't want excuses. I want understanding."
She stepped closer. He was sitting in the chair, and she was standing over him now. He had to crane his neck to look up at her.
"When I tell you to do something, you do it. When I ask you a question, you answer. When I give you a form, you sign it. Do you understand?"
He nodded.
"Say it."
"I understand."
"Good. Now get on your knees."
He stared at her. "What?"
"Get. On. Your. Knees."
He didn't move. He couldn't. This wasn't happening. This wasn't part of the divorce. This wasn't legal advice. This was something else. Something he didn't have a name for.
"Mr. Decker. I'm not going to ask again."
His body moved before his brain caught up. He slid off the chair. The carpet was soft under his knees. He was kneeling in front of her, looking up at her, feeling the weight of his position settle over him like something physical, something inescapable.
"Better," she said. "Now we're going to practice something. You're going to apologize to me."
"For what?"
"For hesitating. For making me repeat myself. For wasting my time."
He swallowed. His throat was dry. "I'm sorry."
"Not good enough. Say it properly."
He tried again. "I'm sorry for hesitating."
"No." She shook her head slowly. "You're sorry for being difficult. You're sorry for making me work harder than I should have to. You're sorry for not trusting me immediately."
He repeated the words. They tasted like ash in his mouth.
"I'm sorry for being difficult. I'm sorry for making you work harder. I'm sorry for not trusting you."
"And?"
"And..." He didn't know what else she wanted. He was lost. He was kneeling on her office floor with no money in his pockets and no idea how he'd get home.
"And you're grateful that I'm taking care of you," she said. "You're grateful that I'm protecting you. You're grateful that I'm in control."
He repeated the words. They felt wrong. They felt right. He didn't know anymore.
"I'm grateful you're taking care of me. I'm grateful you're protecting me. I'm grateful you're in control."
"Good boy," she said softly.
She reached down and touched his hair. Just a brief stroke. But the gesture sent a shock through his body. He felt himself respond to her touch, warmth flooding through his chest, his stomach tightening with something that wasn't entirely shame. He felt shame and something else. Something he didn't want to name. Something that made his pulse quicken and his breath come shallow.
Her fingers lingered. She traced along the side of his head, down behind his ear, her nails barely grazing his skin. A shiver ran through him. He closed his eyes.
"Look at me."
He opened his eyes. She was staring down at him with an expression he couldn't read. Her lips were parted. Her cheeks were flushed. She looked hungry.
"You're doing well," she said. Her voice was softer now, almost tender. "You're learning."
She moved her hand from his hair to his jaw. She cupped his chin, tilted his face up. Her thumb traced his lower lip. He felt the pressure of it, the warmth of her skin against his. His mouth parted slightly, involuntarily.
"When I think you're ready," she whispered, "I'll give you more. But first, you have to earn it."
She let go of him. Stepped back. The loss of her touch was immediate and cold.
"You can get up now."
He stood. His legs were shaky. His heart was pounding. He could feel the blood in his temples, the heat in his face. He looked at her, and she was smiling. A real smile. Warm. Almost kind.
"That wasn't so hard, was it?"
He shook his head. He didn't trust his voice.
"Go home, Mr. Decker. Get some rest. I'll call you tomorrow."
He walked to the door. He paused with his hand on the handle.
"Ms. Brennan?"
"Yes?"
"How do I pay for a cab? I don't have any cash. My cards are canceled."
She tilted her head, considering him. Then she reached into her purse and pulled out a twenty-dollar bill. She walked over to him and pressed it into his palm, her fingers brushing against his as she did.
"This is a loan. I'll deduct it from your trust account."
He looked at the bill in his hand. Twenty dollars. All he had in the world.
"Thank you," he said.
"You're welcome, Mr. Decker. I'll see you tomorrow."
He walked out into the night, the twenty dollars crumpled in his fist, and wondered how everything had changed so fast.
Motions Filed
The call came late on a Tuesday evening.
Brian was staring at his empty apartment, trying to figure out how to buy groceries. His cards were frozen. His accounts were empty. He had less than fifty dollars in cash and no idea when his next paycheck would arrive.
His phone buzzed and he saw the name. Claudette Brennan.
He answered on the second ring. "Hello?"
"Mr. Decker. I need you at my office within the hour." Her voice was crisp, professional, brooking no argument. "We have an emergency motion that needs to be filed tonight, and I require your signature on several documents."
"Tonight? But I thought everything was handled."
"Nothing is handled until I say it is handled." A pause. "Your wife's attorney filed a last minute request for temporary spousal support. If we don't respond by midnight, the court will grant it automatically. Do you understand the implications?"
He understood that he had no money. That was the only implication that mattered.
"I'll be there," he said.
"Good. Bring identification and the keys to your storage unit. We may need to inventory assets."
"My storage unit? That's just old furniture and boxes."
"Everything is relevant, Mr. Decker. An hour. Don't be late."
The line went dead.
The office building was mostly dark when he arrived. A few lights burned on upper floors, but the lobby was empty, the security guard barely glancing up as Brian signed in.
The elevator ride felt too long and too short at the same time. His palms were slick with sweat. He kept thinking about the cash in his pocket, about the frozen cards, about the way Claudette had looked at him during their last meeting.
He'd knelt on her floor and thanked her for taking his money.
The memory made his stomach clench.
Her office door was open, light spilling into the hallway. He could hear her voice, low and professional, speaking on the phone. He knocked on the doorframe.
She glanced up, one finger raised. "Yes, I understand. No, that won't be acceptable. We'll file a response tonight." A pause. "Fine. Send it over. I'll review."
She hung up and turned her full attention to him.
He was struck again by how imposing she was. Tall, sharp cheekbones, dark hair pulled back in that severe chignon. Her suit was charcoal gray, perfectly fitted, the jacket unbuttoned to reveal a cream silk blouse.
"Close the door," she said.
He did.
"Come here."
He walked to her desk, standing awkwardly as she pulled a thick stack of papers from her briefcase. She spread them across the desk, her movements efficient and precise.
"These are the response documents," she said, sliding one toward him. "I need your initials on each page and your full signature on the last three. Read them if you want, but we don't have time for questions."
He picked up the pen she offered. The documents were dense, full of legal language he didn't understand. He scanned the first page, catching phrases about asset disclosure and temporary support obligations.
"This says I'm agreeing to liquidate my 401k," he said.
"That's correct. It's the fastest way to generate cash for the legal fund."
"I thought the retainer covered everything."
"The retainer covered initial consultation and basic filings." She didn't look up from her own documents. "This motion requires additional work. Overtime. Expedited filing fees. I can't absorb those costs."
He felt a cold weight settle in his chest. "How much more?"
"I'll know after I file. Now sign."
He hesitated. The pen felt heavy in his hand.
"Mr. Decker." Her voice sharpened. "Do you want to lose this case because you refused to sign a simple disclosure form?"
"No. Of course not."
"Then sign."
He initialed the first page. Then the second. The third. Each initial felt like a small surrender, a little piece of himself given away.
She watched him, her gray eyes tracking his movements. When he finished the last page, she took the documents and stacked them neatly.
"Good. Now come around the desk."
He blinked. "What?"
"I said come around the desk. I need to show you something."
He hesitated, then walked around to her side. She was seated in her high backed leather chair, and she gestured for him to stand beside her.
"Look at this," she said, pointing to a document on her screen.
He leaned in, trying to focus on the text. It was something about spousal support calculations, numbers and formulas that blurred in front of his eyes.
"I don't understand this," he admitted.
"No. You don't." Her voice was calm, almost conversational. "Which is why you need to trust me. But I've noticed something about you, Mr. Decker. You hesitate. You question. You don't follow instructions promptly."
"I'm just trying to understand."
"Understanding comes after compliance. Not before." She turned in her chair, looking up at him. "This is a problem we need to address."
Before he could respond, she reached out and took his wrist. Her grip was surprisingly strong, her fingers cool against his skin.
"Bend over the desk."
"What? No. I'm not going to..."
"Mr. Decker." Her voice dropped, becoming something colder, harder. "You are my client. I am responsible for your case. That responsibility includes ensuring you are properly disciplined when you fail to follow instructions. Now bend over the desk."
He shook his head, backing away. "This is crazy. I'm leaving."
"You can leave." She didn't move, didn't raise her voice. "But if you walk out that door, I will withdraw from your case. Your wife's attorney will get everything. The house, the savings, your retirement. You'll be left with nothing. And I will make sure every attorney in this city knows you are a difficult client who refuses to cooperate."
He stopped.
She was right. She had all his money. She had all the documents. She had everything.
"If you stay," she continued, "we address this problem now, and we move forward. You will learn to follow instructions without hesitation. That's what's best for your case."
His mouth was dry. His pulse hammered in his ears. But he couldn't see another option.
Slowly, he turned back to the desk.
"That's better," she said. "Now bend over."
He placed his hands on the cool wood surface, leaning forward. The position felt vulnerable, exposed. He could feel her presence behind him, could hear the soft rustle of her clothing as she stood.
"Lower. All the way down."
He bent further, his chest pressing against the desk. She moved closer, and he felt her hand on his back, pressing him down.
"You're going to count," she said. "Out loud. And you're going to thank me after each one. Do you understand?"
He didn't answer.
Her hand came down hard on his backside.
The impact was sharp, stinging. He gasped, his hands gripping the edge of the desk.
"I asked you a question, Mr. Decker."
"Yes," he managed. "I understand."
"Good. That was one. You're going to thank me for it."
He couldn't. The words wouldn't come.
She hit him again, harder this time, and he cried out.
"Thank you," he gasped.
"Thank you what?"
"Thank you... thank you, Ms. Brennan."
"Better."
She continued. Each strike was measured, precise, landing in a different spot. He lost count around ten, his mind going blank with the pain and the humiliation. But she kept going, kept making him count, kept making him thank her.
By the time she stopped, his eyes were wet. He didn't know when he'd started crying.
"There," she said, her voice almost gentle. "That wasn't so difficult, was it?"
He couldn't answer. He just stayed bent over the desk, breathing hard, his body shaking.
"Stand up."
He straightened slowly, not meeting her eyes. His backside throbbed, and he knew he would feel this for days.
She was already sitting again, pulling papers toward her. "Now. We have work to do. I need to finish this motion, and you're going to help me."
"How?"
She looked at him, her expression unreadable. "Kneel."
He stared at her.
"Mr. Decker. We've already established that hesitation is a problem. Don't make me correct you again."
He dropped to his knees. The carpet was soft beneath him, and he could feel the heat from his punished skin pressing against his trousers.
"Good." She shifted in her chair, spreading her legs slightly. "You're going to keep me company while I work. And you're going to learn another lesson about following instructions."
She reached down and unzipped her skirt, then her trousers. The fabric parted, revealing the smooth skin of her thighs and the dark triangle of hair between them.
He looked away.
"Look at me, Mr. Decker."
He forced his eyes back to her face.
"You're going to use your mouth. And you're going to do it without being told again. Do you understand?"
"Ms. Brennan, I can't. This isn't..."
"This isn't what? Appropriate?" She laughed, a cold sound. "Nothing about our relationship is appropriate. You're my client. I'm your attorney. And you're on your knees because I put you there. Now put your mouth where I told you to."
He didn't move.
Her hand shot out, grabbing his hair, pulling him forward. He gasped, his hands coming up to steady himself against her thighs.
"Open your mouth," she said.
He tried to pull back, but her grip was too strong. His face was inches from her, close enough to smell her, to see the wetness glistening.
"Open. Your. Mouth."
He opened his mouth.
She pulled him forward, pressing his face against her. The taste of her was sharp and salty, and he made a sound of protest against her skin. She was already wet, her folds slick against his lips, and the scent of her filled his nostrils, musky and intimate.
"Use your tongue," she said, her voice dropping to something almost intimate. "Show me you can follow instructions."
He didn't want to. Every instinct told him to pull away, to run, to escape this nightmare. But his body was already moving, his tongue extending, touching her. He found her slick and swollen, the heat of her against his mouth undeniable.
She made a small sound of approval. "That's it. Keep going."
He closed his eyes, trying to disconnect from what was happening. His tongue moved against her, tasting her, feeling her respond. Her hand stayed in his hair, not pulling, just holding him in place. He traced the length of her with his tongue, learning her shape, her texture, the way she grew wetter with each pass.
"That's good," she said, her voice slightly breathless. "You're learning."
She turned back to her documents, one hand holding his head in place while the other continued to work. He could hear the scratch of her pen, the rustle of paper, the soft click of her keyboard.
And all the while, his mouth was on her, tasting her, pleasing her. He found the swollen bud at her center and circled it with his tongue, feeling her thighs tense on either side of his head. She shifted in her chair, pressing closer to him, and he took that as instruction, closing his lips around her and sucking gently.
A soft sound escaped her, barely audible. Her hand tightened in his hair.
He hated it. He hated her. He hated himself for doing it, for not stopping, for being too weak to walk away. But his tongue kept moving, kept exploring her, kept finding new ways to make her breath catch. He licked into her, tasting her more deeply, feeling her body clench and release against his mouth.
But he didn't stop.
"Slower," she said, her pen never pausing. "You're too eager. Pace yourself."
He adjusted, slowing his tongue, drawing long, deliberate strokes through her folds. She rewarded him with a soft exhale, her legs spreading wider. He could feel her wetness on his chin, on his lips, coating him with her arousal.
"Now harder. Apply more pressure."
He pressed his tongue flat against her, dragging it up slowly until he reached her clit, then circling it with firm, deliberate strokes. Her breath hitched, and for the first time, her pen stopped moving.
"Yes," she said, barely above a whisper. "Like that."
He repeated the motion, over and over, finding a rhythm that made her thighs tremble. Her hand in his hair shifted from holding to guiding, pressing him closer, directing him where she wanted him. He could feel her body responding, the tension building in her muscles, the way her breathing grew shallow and quick.
She was still trying to work, he realized. Still trying to maintain that professional control even as her body betrayed her. Her pen scratched against paper, but the movements were slower now, less certain. He could hear her breath coming in short, controlled bursts.
"Don't stop," she said, her voice strained. "Keep doing exactly that."
He obeyed. His jaw ached, his knees pressed into the carpet, but he kept his mouth on her, kept that same steady pressure, that same deliberate rhythm. He could feel her getting closer, feel the way her body tightened, the way her thighs pressed against his ears.
Her breathing changed. Her thighs tensed around his head. She made a sound, low and satisfied, and he felt her body shudder against his mouth. Her orgasm came in waves, her inner walls pulsing against his tongue, her hips rocking forward into him. He tasted her release, felt it flood his mouth, and he kept licking, kept sucking, drawing out every tremor until she finally went still.
"Good boy," she said, her voice soft.
She held him there for a long moment, her hand loose in his hair now, her breathing slowly returning to normal. He could feel her wetness on his face, cooling against his skin. Finally, she released him, and he pulled back, gasping, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.
She was already turning back to her work, adjusting her clothing as if nothing had happened.
"You can sit in the waiting area," she said. "I'll call you when I need your signature on the final filing."
He stood on shaking legs, not meeting her eyes. He walked to the door, his backside still burning, his mouth still tasting her.
"Mr. Decker."
He stopped, not turning around.
"You did well tonight. Keep following instructions, and this will all be over soon."
He didn't answer. He just walked out of her office and closed the door behind him.
In the waiting room, he sat down and put his head in his hands. His body was shaking. His mind was reeling.
He had no money. No control. No way out.
And somewhere, deep in the shame and the fear, he felt something else. Something he didn't want to name.
He waited for her to call him back.
Temporary Orders
The elevator ride to the thirty-second floor felt longer than Brian remembered. He had barely slept. Every time he closed his eyes, he saw the polished surface of Claudette Brennan's desk, felt the weight of her hand on the back of his neck, tasted the bitter salt of his own shame. The memory twisted in his stomach like a knot he couldn't untie.
He had done what she asked. He had knelt on her carpet, let her touch him, let her guide his mouth where she wanted it. He had served her while she answered emails and signed documents, his own degradation reduced to a background task in her busy schedule. And when it was over, she had simply told him to go home and wait for her call.
The call came the next morning. Her voice was crisp, professional, as if nothing had happened. "I need you in my office at four. We have paperwork to finalize for the temporary orders hearing."
"Of course, Ms. Brennan," he had said, and the words tasted like surrender.
Now he stood in her doorway, his hands shoved deep into his pockets, trying to look like a man who still had choices. The receptionist waved him through without looking up. He walked the long hallway to her corner office, his footsteps muffled by the thick gray carpet.
She was standing by the window, her back to him, a glass of water in her hand. She wore a charcoal pantsuit today, the jacket open over a crisp white blouse. Her hair was pulled back so tight it looked painful. She did not turn around.
"Close the door, Brian."
He did. The latch clicked shut behind him.
"Sit."
He sat in the leather client chair. The same chair he had sat in a week ago, when this all began. It felt different now. Smaller. The room felt smaller too, the walls pressing in, the air thick with her perfume and the unspoken rules of their new arrangement.
She turned slowly, her gray eyes finding his. She did not smile. She walked to her desk and sat down, pulling a manila folder from her briefcase. She spread the contents across the blotter: bank statements, account summaries, a thick stack of legal forms.
"The temporary orders hearing is scheduled for next Thursday," she said, her voice flat and businesslike. "I've prepared the financial disclosure and a proposed budget for the pendente lite period. Your wife's attorney will review it tomorrow."
Brian nodded. He tried to focus on the papers, but his eyes kept drifting to her hands. The way her fingers moved across the documents. The way she tapped the edge of a page to align it. He remembered those hands on him, guiding him, holding him in place.
"The court will want to see that you're living within your means," she continued. "That you aren't dissipating assets. That you're acting in good faith."
"Okay," he said. "That makes sense."
She looked up from the papers. Her gaze was flat, unreadable. "To demonstrate good faith, I've recommended a series of voluntary measures. Your wife's attorney has agreed to a stipulated order if we implement them immediately."
"What kind of measures?"
She reached into her briefcase again and pulled out a small velvet pouch. She set it on the desk between them. It made a soft, heavy sound against the wood.
"Open it."
Brian's hands felt clumsy. He fumbled with the drawstring, pulled it open, tipped the contents into his palm. A clear plastic cage with a stainless steel ring. A small brass padlock. The device was cold against his skin, lighter than he expected. He stared at it, his brain refusing to make sense of what he was holding.
"What is this?" he asked, though he knew. He had seen things like this on the internet, in the dark corners he never admitted to visiting.
"It's a chastity device," Claudette said, her voice perfectly calm. "Medical grade polycarbonate. Designed for long-term wear. Your wife's attorney suggested it as a show of good faith. Given your history of infidelity, it's a reasonable request."
"I haven't been unfaithful," Brian said. The words came out weak, pathetic. "She's the one who filed."
Claudette's lips curved into something that was not quite a smile. "That's not what the evidence shows. I have phone records, Brian. Text messages. Credit card statements from hotels. Your wife's attorney was very thorough."
"That's not true. I never cheated. She made those up."
"Can you prove it?"
He opened his mouth. Closed it. The room was very quiet.
"I thought not." She stood up and walked around the desk, her heels clicking against the floor. She stopped in front of him, looking down at the device in his hands. "Put it on."
"Excuse me?"
"You heard me. Undress from the waist down and put it on."
Brian's face burned. "Ms. Brennan, I can't. This is insane. You can't make me wear this."
"I'm not making you do anything," she said. "I'm offering you a choice. You can wear the device and demonstrate good faith to the court, or you can refuse and I'll withdraw as your counsel. The retainer you paid is nonrefundable. You'll need to find another attorney, and you'll need to explain to the judge why you refused a reasonable accommodation during settlement negotiations."
He stared at her. The threat hung in the air between them, solid and real. He thought about his bank account, the money he had already transferred to her trust. He imagined trying to find another lawyer, about starting over. He remembered the messages she claimed to have, the fabricated evidence she could use against him.
"I can't afford another attorney," he said finally.
"Then put on the device."
His hands were shaking as he unbuckled his belt. He stood up, shoving his pants and boxers down to his ankles. The air was cold against his exposed skin. He fumbled with the ring, trying to fit it around his testicles, but his fingers were too clumsy, slipping against the steel.
"Stop," she said. "You're doing it wrong."
She didn't ask permission. She simply lowered herself to her knees in front of him, the expensive fabric of her pantsuit brushing against his bare thighs. The gesture was obscene in its domesticity, a powerful woman kneeling before him, but the power dynamic was inverted. She was not submitting. She was handling him.
Her fingers were cool as she took the ring from his trembling hands. She examined it for a moment, turning it in the light, then looked up at him. Her gray eyes were clinical, detached, as if she were assessing a specimen.
"Hold still," she said.
She cupped her hand beneath his testicles, weighing them. The touch was professional, almost medical, but his body betrayed him anyway. Blood rushed to his groin, and he stiffened despite himself, half hard and growing harder under her steady gaze.
"Don't," she said, without looking up.
"I can't help it."
"You can. And you will. Focus on something else. The hearing. The paperwork. Your bank account."
She waited, her hand still cupping him, her fingers curled loosely around his sac. She did not move. She did not stroke. She simply held him, patient and still, until the flush of arousal began to fade and his body softened against his will.
"Better," she murmured. "Now."
Her fingers were precise, practiced. She guided his testicles through the steel ring one at a time, her touch firm but careful. The metal was cold against his sensitive skin, and he flinched at the sensation. She ignored his reaction. She pulled the ring snug against the base of his body, the steel pressing into the flesh behind his sac.
"Step wider," she instructed.
He obeyed, spreading his legs, his pants still tangled around his ankles. She reached between his thighs and positioned the plastic cage against the tip of his penis. The polycarbonate was smooth, clinical, nothing like skin. She guided him into it slowly, inch by inch, her fingers pressing him down, compressing him, folding his soft flesh into the confinement of the device.
He felt himself shrinking inside the cage, his body retreating from the cold plastic. She adjusted the angle, made small corrections, her fingers brushing against him in ways that would have been intimate if they weren't so clinical. He was aware of her breath against his thigh, the warmth of her, the proximity of her face to his most vulnerable place.
"There," she said, adjusting the plastic around him. "That's better."
She stood up and retrieved the padlock from the desk. She held it up so he could see it, the brass gleaming under the office lights.
"This is the only key," she said. "It stays with me. You won't ask for it. You won't try to remove the device. If you do, I'll know, and there will be consequences."
She slid the lock through the mechanism on the cage. The click was sharp and final. He felt the weight of it, the security of it, the absolute imprisonment. The cage was snug against his body, a constant pressure, a permanent reminder of who controlled him.
Claudette stood back and admired her work. "Stand up. Let me see."
He stood. The cage shifted with him, a foreign object that was now part of his body. He could feel it with every movement, every breath.
"Walk to the mirror."
He obeyed. The floor-to-ceiling mirror on the far wall showed him his own reflection. His pants were around his ankles, his shirt hanging loose, and between his legs was the clear plastic cage, his soft flesh trapped inside it. The stainless steel ring was a cold halo around his base.
"Look at yourself," she said from behind him. "Look at what you've accepted. Look at what you are now."
He stared at his own reflection. The man in the mirror looked broken. His eyes were hollow, his cheeks flushed with shame. He watched Claudette approach in the mirror, watched her stand behind him, her tall frame dwarfing his.
"This is temporary," he said. "Just until the hearing."
"That's right," she said. "Temporary. Now, I need proof."
She pulled out her phone and opened the camera. "Stand still. Look at the camera."
The flash was bright. She took several photos, moving around him, capturing the device from different angles. A front view. A side view. A close up of the lock.
"Good," she said, examining the images. "Now you're going to send me one every morning and every evening. If you're late, there will be a five hundred dollar penalty deducted from your remaining funds."
"That's half my paycheck," he said.
"Then I suggest you be on time."
She walked back to her desk and picked up another document. "I've also prepared an updated budget for the pendente lite period. Your living expenses have been adjusted."
He pulled up his pants, his hands still trembling. The cage pressed against the fabric, a bulge that wasn't quite natural. He sat down heavily in the client chair.
She slid the paper across the desk. He read it. His stomach dropped.
"This can't be right," he said. "You've reduced my living allowance to twelve hundred dollars a month. My rent alone is fifteen hundred."
"That's why I've recommended you find a cheaper apartment. There's a studio in my building available for eight hundred a month. Utilities included."
"I can't move into your building."
"Why not? It's convenient for our meetings. And it will demonstrate to the court that you're serious about economizing."
"This is crazy. You're taking everything."
"I'm protecting your interests, Brian. The court will see that you're making sacrifices. That you're taking this seriously." She folded her hands on the desk. "Or we can let the judge decide. But I should warn you, I've already filed the proposed budget. If you refuse, it'll look like bad faith."
He stared at the numbers. His savings account was already drained. His checking account was down to a few thousand. His credit cards were frozen. He had no way out.
"Fine," he said. The word was barely a whisper.
"Fine what?"
"Fine. I'll move into your building."
"Good boy." She stood up and walked around the desk again. She sat on the edge, her legs crossed, one heel dangling from her foot. "Now, there's one more thing. The daily check ins. They're not just for photos. I want to know where you are, what you're doing, who you're with. You'll text me before you leave for work, when you arrive, before lunch, after lunch, and when you leave for the day."
"That's a lot of texts."
"And the photos. If you miss one, the penalty applies."
Brian closed his eyes. He could feel the cage against his skin, a cold reminder of his new reality. "I understand."
"Look at me when you say that."
He opened his eyes. Her gray eyes were waiting for him, patient and predatory.
"I understand, Ms. Brennan."
"Good." She stood up and walked back to her chair. "I think that's everything for today. You can go."
He stood up, his legs unsteady. He walked to the door, his hand on the handle.
"Brian."
He turned. She was watching him, a small smile playing at the corners of her mouth.
"You did well today. I appreciate your cooperation."
He didn't know what to say. The words stuck in his throat.
"Same time tomorrow," she said. "We have more documents to review."
He nodded and opened the door. The hallway stretched out before him, long and empty. He walked toward the elevator, each step a reminder of what now hung between his legs, locked in place by someone else's key.
The elevator doors closed behind him. He leaned against the wall, his breath coming in short gasps. The device was a constant pressure, a cold ring of steel and plastic that marked him as owned. He touched it through his pants, felt the hard outline of it.
His phone buzzed. A text from Claudette.
*Reminder: 7 AM tomorrow. Don't be late.*
He stared at the message. Then he typed his reply.
*Yes, Ms. Brennan.*
The elevator reached the lobby. He walked out into the fading afternoon light, a man who had just signed away the last piece of his freedom. The cage was his new companion, his master's mark.
He got into his car and sat there, the engine off, the silence pressing in. He pictured tomorrow morning, taking a photo of himself and sending it to her. He imagined the days stretching out ahead of him, each one a little less his own.
The phone vibrated again.
*I forgot to mention. No touching. At all. If you do, I'll know. And the penalty will be severe.*
He typed his reply with shaking fingers.
*I understand, Ms. Brennan.*
He put the phone in his pocket and started the car. The cage shifted against him as he drove, a constant reminder of the woman who held his key, his money, his future.
He was hers now. And he was just beginning to understand what that meant.
Settlement Negotiations
The morning sun cast long shadows across the polished floor of Claudette's office. Brian stood at the window, watching cars crawl through the financial district below. His hands trembled slightly. He had not slept well. The chastity device had made sure of that.
"Sit down, Brian."
He turned. Claudette had entered without him noticing. She wore a deep burgundy suit today, the jacket open to reveal a crisp white blouse. Her heels clicked against the marble as she walked to her desk.
"Sorry. I didn't hear you come in."
"That's the idea." She settled into her chair and gestured for him to take the seat across from her. "We have a lot to go over today. The settlement negotiations are moving forward."
He sat. The leather creaked beneath him. "What does that mean exactly?"
"It means your wife's lawyers are ready to talk. But we need to position you properly first." She opened a folder and slid a stack of papers across the desk. "These are the updated financial disclosures. I need you to sign them."
He looked at the papers. Numbers blurred before his eyes. "What's this one?"
"The one that transfers your remaining investment accounts into the trust I control. For protective purposes, as I've explained."
"All of them?"
"All of them." Her voice was flat. Final. "Your wife's attorneys will see a man with limited resources. That makes you less attractive to pursue. It's basic strategy."
He picked up the pen. His hand shook. "I don't know anymore."
"You don't know what?"
"If this is really about protecting me."
She leaned back in her chair. A slow smile spread across her lips. "Oh, it's about protecting you. From yourself. From her. From the world that would chew you up and spit you out." She tapped the papers. "Sign them, Brian."
He signed. His name looked strange on the page. Like it belonged to someone else.
"Good boy." She took the papers and set them aside. "Now. There's another matter we need to address."
"What's that?"
"The next stage of your service."
His stomach clenched. "I thought the chastity was enough."
"The chastity is a beginning. A reminder. But I need you to understand something more fundamental." She stood and walked around the desk. "You are mine, Brian. Every part of you. And I need to claim you in a way that you won't forget."
She stopped in front of him. Her hand reached down and touched his chin, tilting his face up to meet her eyes.
"Stand up."
He stood. His legs felt weak.
"Take off your clothes."
"Here?"
"Here. Now."
His hands moved to his belt. He fumbled with the buckle. The leather slipped through his fingers. He pulled it free and let his pants drop to the floor. His shirt followed. He stood in his boxers, the steel cage visible beneath the fabric.
"Everything," she said.
He pushed his boxers down. The cage was cold against his thighs. He stepped out of the fabric and stood naked before her, his hands at his sides.
"Turn around."
He turned. He heard her move behind him. Her hand touched his shoulder blade. The contact was light but it burned.
"Bend over the conference table."
He looked at the long wooden table that dominated the corner of her office. It was polished to a mirror shine. He could see his own reflection in its surface.
"I said bend over."
He walked to the table and placed his hands on its edge. The wood was cool against his palms. He bent forward, his chest pressing against the surface. His reflection stared back at him, distorted and pale.
He heard her open a drawer. The sound of metal clicking. He did not turn to look.
"You've been very compliant," she said. Her voice came from behind him. "But compliance isn't the same as surrender. I need you to surrender, Brian. Completely."
She touched his hip. Her hand was warm. She traced a line down his thigh.
"I'm going to take you now. In a way that leaves no doubt about who you belong to."
He heard a bottle open. The sound of liquid. Then her hand returned, slick and cool. She spread something across him. He tensed.
"Relax."
He tried. His muscles refused to obey.
"I said relax." Her hand pressed harder. "You will take this. You will accept it. And you will thank me for it."
He felt pressure. Something pressed against him. He gripped the edge of the table.
"Breathe," she said.
He breathed. The pressure increased. He felt a burning stretch. His body resisted but she did not stop. She pushed forward, slow and steady, and he felt himself open to her.
"That's it," she said. "Take it."
He gasped. The sensation was overwhelming. Pain and fullness and something else he did not want to name.
She was still. Letting him adjust. Her hand rested on his lower back.
"You're doing so well," she said. "This is the hardest part. Accepting that this is who you are now."
She began to move. Slow thrusts that rocked his body against the table. His hands slipped on the polished wood. He braced himself against the edge.
"Look at yourself," she said.
He looked. His reflection stared back. A naked man bent over a conference table, being taken by a woman in a suit. His face was flushed. His eyes were wide.
"This is where you belong," she said. "Under my control. Being used for my pleasure."
She thrust harder. The rhythm became faster. He felt himself being pushed further onto the table. His chest slid against the wood.
"You're mine," she said. "Say it."
"I'm yours."
"Louder."
"I'm yours!"
"Good boy."
She drove into him with a force that made him cry out. The sound echoed in the empty office. He heard her breathing quicken. Her hand gripped his hip hard enough to leave bruises.
"This is what you are now," she said. "A hole for me to use. A body for my pleasure. Do you understand?"
He nodded. Words would not come.
"Say it."
"I understand."
"What do you understand?"
"I'm a hole for you to use."
"And?"
"A body for your pleasure."
"That's right." She slowed. The thrusts became deep and grinding. "That's exactly right."
She leaned over him. Her body pressed against his back. Her lips touched his ear.
"You're going to come when I allow it. And not before. You're going to stay in that cage until I decide you've earned release. And when I finally let you come, it will be because I want it. Not because you need it."
She straightened. Her hand left his hip. She gripped his shoulder and pulled him back onto her with each thrust.
"Do you want to come?" she asked.
"Yes."
"Do you deserve to come?"
He hesitated. "No."
"That's right. You don't. You deserve to be used. To be denied. To be kept on edge until I decide otherwise."
She thrust harder. Faster. He felt himself approaching a peak he could not reach. The cage held him back. The pressure built and built and went nowhere.
"Please," he said.
"Please what?"
"Please let me come."
"No."
She drove into him one last time and held still. He felt her body tense against his. She let out a breath that was almost a sigh. Then she pulled out.
He stayed bent over the table. His body shook. His breath came in ragged gasps.
"Turn around," she said.
He turned. She was standing there, her suit still perfectly in place. Her blouse was not even untucked. She held a small object in her hand. A black strap-on harness, the silicone phallus still slick with lubricant.
"Kneel."
He dropped to his knees. The carpet was soft beneath him.
"Thank me."
He looked up at her. His throat was tight. "Thank you."
"Thank me for what?"
"For claiming me."
"That's a start." She set the harness on the table. "But I need more. I need you to understand what just happened."
She walked to her desk and picked up another stack of papers. She brought them to him.
"These are additional documents. They acknowledge that your body is part of the legal proceedings. That your compliance is a matter of record."
He looked at the papers. The words blurred.
"Sign them."
She handed him a pen. He took it. His hand was still shaking. He signed his name on each page. The ink smeared slightly.
"Good." She took the papers and set them aside. "Now. Let's talk about what happens next."
He stayed on his knees. He did not dare to stand.
"The settlement negotiations will continue. Your wife will get what she wants. You will get nothing. That's the price of your freedom."
"Freedom?"
"Freedom from her. From the marriage. From the life you had." She smiled. "You'll be free to serve me completely. No distractions. No obligations. Just you and me."
She reached down and touched his hair. Her fingers were gentle.
"You did well today, Brian. I'm proud of you."
He felt tears prick at his eyes. He did not know why.
"You may get dressed now. We have more work to do."
He stood. His legs were unsteady. He pulled on his boxers, his pants, his shirt. His hands fumbled with the buttons.
She watched him. Her eyes were calm. Satisfied.
"From now on, this will be part of your regular service. Every week, I will take you in this room. You will bend over that table and I will claim you. And you will thank me."
He nodded. He could not speak.
"Say it."
"Thank you."
"For what?"
"For claiming me. For taking me. For making me yours."
"That's my good boy." She turned and walked to her desk. "Now sit down. We have settlement terms to review."
He sat in the chair across from her. The leather was cold against his skin. She opened a file and began to speak about asset division and alimony and legal fees. He heard the words but they did not register. He was still feeling the ghost of her inside him. The stretch. The fullness. The shame.
And beneath the shame, something else. Something he did not want to acknowledge.
He signed more papers. He did not read them. He did not need to. He knew what they said. They said he belonged to her. Every part of him. Every dollar. Every breath.
The meeting lasted another hour. By the end, he had signed away the last of his savings. His retirement accounts. His stock options. Everything.
"That's it for now," she said. "You can go."
He stood. He walked to the door.
"Brian."
He turned.
"You forgot something."
He looked at her. She held up the chastity key.
"You need to thank me properly before you leave."
He walked back to her. He knelt. He pressed his lips to her hand.
"Thank you for everything," he said.
"You're welcome." She slipped the key into her pocket. "I'll see you tomorrow for your check-in. Don't be late."
He left the office. The hallway was empty. He walked to the elevator and pressed the button. His hand was still shaking.
He stepped into the elevator and leaned against the wall. The doors closed. He was alone.
He thought about what had happened. The way she had taken him. The way he had surrendered. The way he had thanked her.
He thought about the cage around his cock. The key in her pocket. The papers he had signed.
He thought about next week. And the week after. And the week after that.
The elevator reached the ground floor. The doors opened. He stepped out into the lobby and walked through the revolving doors into the street. The sun was bright. The air was cold. He pulled his jacket tighter around him.
He had nowhere to go. Nothing to do. No one to see.
He was hers.
Asset Division
The morning light through Claudette's office window had a quality Brian had come to recognize over these past weeks. It was the light of exposure, of things being seen that shouldn't be. He stood before her desk with his hands clasped in front of him, the weight of the chastity device a constant reminder between his legs. The metal pressed against him when he shifted his weight, a dull ache that had become as familiar as breathing.
Claudette looked up from her computer screen. Her reading glasses sat low on her nose, giving her that particular expression of detached assessment he'd learned to fear.
"Sit down, Brian. We have several matters to address today."
He sat in the chair across from her desk. The leather was cold through his pants. He'd stopped wearing suits to these meetings weeks ago. She'd told him casual clothes were more appropriate for someone in his position. Today he wore khakis and a polo shirt, clothes she'd approved, bought with money from the allowance she'd set for him.
"First order of business," she said, swiveling her chair to face him directly. "Your employment at Pruitt & Associates."
Brian's stomach dropped. He'd been waiting for this, dreading it. Every meeting with Claudette stripped something else away from him. His savings. His investments. His dignity. Now she was coming for his career.
"What about it?" he asked, though he already knew.
"It's incompatible with your current arrangement. You can't continue working there."
"Claudette, please. That's my career. I've been there for six years. I'm up for senior associate next quarter."
"Were up for senior associate," she corrected. "You're going to resign."
The word hit him like a physical blow. He gripped the armrests of the chair, the leather creaking under his fingers. "You can't ask me to do that."
"I'm not asking. I'm telling you what's going to happen." She removed her glasses and set them on the desk. "Your employment creates complications. You have access to firm resources, client information, professional networks. All of these represent assets that need to be addressed."
"I'm not going to steal from my own firm."
"Of course you're not. But your continued employment creates the appearance of independence, and we both know that's no longer accurate, don't we?"
He swallowed hard. The chastity device pressed against him as he shifted uncomfortably in the chair. She was right. He hadn't been independent for weeks now. Every financial decision went through her. Every evening ended with some new demand, some new proof of his submission sent to her phone.
"What am I supposed to do for money?"
"Your needs are being met. Your allowance covers what I've determined is appropriate. Your apartment, your food, your basic expenses. You don't need a salary."
"You've already taken everything else. My savings, my investments, the house. Now you want my job too?"
"I want what the settlement terms require. Full asset division. Your earning potential is an asset, Brian. One that needs to be... managed."
She turned her computer monitor toward him. On the screen was a draft email, already composed. The recipient was his managing partner, David Pruitt. The subject line read "Letter of Resignation."
"I've taken the liberty of drafting this for you. Read it."
Brian leaned forward, his eyes scanning the text. The language was professional, graceful even. It spoke of personal matters requiring his full attention, of a difficult decision reached after careful consideration. It thanked David for the opportunities provided over the past six years. It offered two weeks notice, effective immediately.
"This is well-written," he admitted, his voice hollow.
"I'm a lawyer. Writing is what I do." She paused. "You'll send it from your firm email account. I'll watch you compose and send it. And then you'll call David and confirm verbally."
"The call isn't necessary."
"It is. A written resignation can be withdrawn. A personal conversation makes it real. Makes it final."
He stared at the screen. Six years of early mornings, late nights, difficult cases and difficult clients. Six years of building something. And it would end with a form email and a phone call he didn't want to make.
"What if I refuse?"
Claudette's expression didn't change. "Then the photographs I have of you in the conference room, the ones from our last meeting, will find their way to David's inbox. Along with the financial records showing how you've transferred your assets. Along with documentation of the device you're currently wearing. I don't think that's the professional reputation you want to cultivate."
The conference room. Brian's face flushed at the memory. Her behind him, the strap-on, the cold glass table under his palms. His own voice thanking her afterward, the words pulled from him by shame and exhaustion. She had photographs. Of course she had photographs.
"You'd ruin me either way."
"One path ruins you publicly. The other allows you to leave with some shred of dignity. I'm offering you the kinder option, Brian. I suggest you take it."
He moved to the keyboard. His fingers trembled as he logged into his firm email. The familiar interface loaded, and for a moment he felt the weight of everything he was about to lose. He copied the text from Claudette's draft into a new message. He typed David's email address into the recipient field.
"Send it," Claudette said.
He clicked send. The email disappeared into the void.
"Now the call."
She handed him his phone. He dialed David's number from memory, each digit feeling like a nail being hammered into the coffin of his career.
David answered on the third ring. "Brian! Good timing, I was just reviewing the Patterson briefs. Listen, about the senior associate track, I wanted to talk to you about..."
"David, I need to... I'm calling to let you know I'm resigning. I just sent an email."
Silence on the line. Then: "What? Brian, what are you talking about?"
"Personal matters. I need to step away. I'm sorry. I know this is sudden."
"Sudden? This is out of nowhere. Is someone pressuring you? Is this about money? Because we can talk about compensation..."
"It's not about money. I just need to go. I'm sorry, David. For everything."
Another pause. "Are you okay? You don't sound like yourself."
Brian looked at Claudette. She watched him with that patient, predatory calm. "I'm fine. I just need to make some changes in my life. Thank you for everything. I mean that."
"Brian, wait..."
"Goodbye, David."
He ended the call and set the phone on the desk. His hand was shaking. Six years, gone. The senior associate track, gone. His professional reputation, his network, his identity as a lawyer, all of it evaporated in a two-minute phone call.
"Good," Claudette said. "That's done. Now, let's discuss your living situation."
She opened a folder on her desk and slid a printout toward him. It showed an apartment listing. A studio unit in a building on the east side of the city. One room, a kitchenette, a small bathroom. The rent was a third of what he currently paid.
"Your current apartment is beyond your means. Since you no longer have a salary, we need to make adjustments. I've found this unit. The lease will be in my name. I'll pay the rent directly. You'll have a place to live, which is more than many people in your situation can say."
"You want me to move into a studio you control."
"I want you to live within your means. Your means are what I determine them to be. This apartment is appropriate for someone in your position."
He looked at the photos. The space was small, maybe four hundred square feet. A single window facing a brick wall. Furnished with what looked like secondhand pieces. It was clean but cramped, the kind of place where a person could disappear.
"When do I move?"
"Friday. I've already given notice at your current building. Your belongings will be moved by a service I've hired. Anything that doesn't fit in the new space will be stored or sold, at my discretion."
Of course she'd already given notice. Of course she'd already arranged everything. He was learning that his role in these decisions was purely ceremonial. She informed him of what had already been decided.
"What about my things? My books, my..."
"You'll have limited space. Prioritize what matters to you. Or rather, prioritize what I've decided you can keep. The rest goes."
He nodded. What else was there to do? He'd stopped fighting her weeks ago. Every objection he raised was met with a calm explanation of why he was wrong, why he had no choice, why this was simply the way things had to be. His resistance had worn down like a stone under water, smoothed into something passive and manageable.
"Now," Claudette said, her tone shifting slightly. "Your daily requirements."
Brian's pulse quickened despite himself. The chastity device pressed against him, a constant reminder of his status.
"You'll come here each morning. Nine o'clock. You'll perform whatever services I require. This is non-negotiable. Your afternoons are your own, within the constraints of your allowance and your location. Evenings, you'll send photographic proof of your compliance with all terms. This has been the arrangement for some time now, but I want to make sure you understand that it's permanent. This is your life now."
"Every day?"
"Every day. You have no job to occupy your time. You have no social obligations I'm aware of. Your schedule is mine to determine."
She stood and walked around the desk. She wore a charcoal skirt that ended just above her knee, a cream blouse that fitted her frame precisely. Her heels clicked on the hardwood as she approached him.
"On your knees, Brian."
He hesitated for only a moment. Then he lowered himself from the chair, his knees meeting the hard floor. The position was becoming familiar. Too familiar. He'd spent time on this floor before, in positions that made his face burn to remember.
"Today's service is simple. You're going to kneel there and attend to me while I work. Consider it a demonstration of your new routine."
She sat on the edge of her desk, her skirt riding up slightly. She crossed her legs, her heel dangling from one foot.
"Start with my feet."
Brian moved forward on his knees. He reached for her foot, but she clicked her tongue.
"No hands. Just your mouth. You know how this works by now."
He leaned forward and pressed his lips to her instep. The leather of her shoe was cool against his mouth. He kissed along the arch of her foot, then up to her ankle. The scent of leather and her skin mixed together, a combination he was beginning to associate with his mornings.
"Take off the shoe. Carefully."
He gripped the heel with his teeth and slid it off her foot, letting it drop to the floor. Her foot was bare beneath it, the skin soft and pale. He pressed his mouth to her toes, kissing each one. She didn't react, simply opened her laptop on the desk beside her and began typing.
This was different from before. The first time she'd made him service her, weeks ago, there had been tension, intensity. She'd watched him, directed him, made sure he understood every moment of his degradation. Now she barely looked at him. He was furniture. A footstool with a mouth.
He worked his tongue along the sole of her foot, tasting the slight salt of her skin. She continued typing above him, reviewing documents, sending emails. Occasionally she shifted her weight, presenting a different angle for him to attend to. He followed her movements without being told.
"The other foot," she said after several minutes, not looking up from her screen.
He moved to her other foot, repeating the process. Remove the shoe with his teeth. Kiss from heel to toe. Lick along the arches. Suck each toe individually. His jaw ached from the sustained effort, but he didn't stop. He'd learned that stopping without permission was worse than the discomfort.
"Higher," she said.
He kissed up her ankle, her calf. The muscle was firm under his lips. She'd been keeping herself in shape, he noticed, even as she reduced him to this. Her skin was smooth, slightly cool in the air-conditioned office. He kissed behind her knee, where the skin was softer, more sensitive.
"You're learning," she said, her voice distant, most of her attention still on her work. "It's taken longer than I'd like, but you're finally starting to understand your place."
He didn't respond. Responses invited conversation. Conversation invited negotiation. He'd learned that silence was safer.
"Under my skirt now. You know what I expect."
He pushed the fabric up with his nose, nuzzling along her inner thigh. The scent of her grew stronger as he moved higher. She shifted her hips forward on the desk, giving him access. When he reached her underwear, a simple black pair, he pressed his mouth against the fabric and breathed in.
"Move it aside."
He used his teeth to pull the fabric to the right. She was warm and slightly damp. He'd learned over the past weeks that this process aroused her, though she would never admit it during the act. Her body told him what her voice wouldn't.
He extended his tongue and tasted her. She tasted the same as always, that familiar musk that he now encountered every day. He licked along her folds, finding the rhythm she'd trained him to maintain. Slow, deliberate strokes. No rushing. No enthusiasm. Just mechanical obedience.
She typed above him. He heard the click of keys, the occasional ping of an incoming email. She was working. Actually working. While he knelt between her thighs with his mouth on her cunt.
"Maintain pressure there," she said, her voice even. "Yes, there. Steady."
He obeyed. His tongue ached. His knees hurt against the floor. The chastity device pressed against him, a cruel reminder that his own arousal would bring no relief. He'd been locked for weeks now. The device was part of him, like a second skin he couldn't remove.
She didn't climax. She never did during these morning sessions. He'd come to understand that her pleasure wasn't the point. His obedience was the point. His daily use was the point. The routine itself was the purpose.
"That's enough for now," she said after what might have been twenty minutes. "You'll return to this afternoon. I have a conference call at ten and I need you presentable."
He pulled back, her taste lingering on his lips. She straightened her skirt and reached for her shoes, sliding them back on without his assistance.
"You may sit in the chair while I take my call. Don't speak. Don't move unless I tell you to."
He returned to the chair. His knees ached. His jaw was sore. He could still smell her on his face. He sat in silence while she took her call, discussing a merger, client expectations, filing deadlines. Normal lawyer things. As if she hadn't just been using his mouth for her morning routine.
When the call ended, she looked at him.
"You'll return tomorrow at nine. Same arrangement. The day after that, and the day after that. This is your schedule now. This is your purpose."
"Yes, Claudette."
"Good. Now send me your morning photo before you leave."
He pulled out his phone. The chastity device was visible when he lowered his waistband slightly. He photographed it, the metal glinting in the office light, and sent the image to her number. Another piece of evidence. Another reminder.
"Your new apartment keys are in the folder. Move in Friday. I'll expect you here Saturday morning as well. Weekend service is slightly different. We'll discuss that when we get there."
He took the folder. Inside were the keys, a printed lease in her name, a map to the building. His new life, condensed to a manila folder.
"You're dismissed."
He stood. His knees protested. He walked to the door, folder in hand.
"Brian."
He turned.
"You're adjusting well. Better than I expected. Some part of you might even be grateful for the structure, eventually. A life without decisions can be restful, if you let it."
He didn't answer. He just left, closing the door behind him.
In the elevator, he looked at his reflection in the polished metal doors. He saw a man in casual clothes, carrying a folder, with the faint shine of her still on his lips. A man with no job, no home of his own, no control over his own body. A man who would return tomorrow, and the day after, and every day after that.
The elevator descended. The numbers counted down. And Brian stood in the silence, waiting to reach the ground floor where a life he didn't recognize was waiting for him.
Final Hearing Prep
The apartment smelled like bleach when Brian woke up. That was new. He lay on his back staring at the ceiling, the faint chemical sting in his nostrils a reminder that nothing in his life belonged to him anymore. Not the bed, not the clothes in the closet, not even the air he breathed. Claudette had sent someone to clean yesterday while he was at the office. He didn't ask why. He just thanked her when she told him.
His phone buzzed on the nightstand. A text from her. No greeting, no context. Just an address and a time: evening, her building downtown where she kept a private space on the top floor. He'd been there twice before. Both times he left sore and hollow and strangely grateful for the attention.
He typed back: Yes, Ms. Brennan.
The day crawled. He went to work at the temp agency she'd arranged, filing documents in a windowless room, his mind drifting to the leather case she'd shown him once. The one with the cuffs and the straps and the things he didn't have names for. He couldn't focus. His supervisor asked if he was feeling okay. He said he was fine. He wasn't fine. He was a man waiting to be taken apart.
Half an hour before he was due, he stood in the lobby of her building, hands in his pockets, watching the elevator numbers climb and fall. His heart pounded. His palms were damp. He told himself this was just preparation. Just another step toward the final hearing. But he knew better. This was maintenance. This was her reminding him what he was.
The elevator doors opened onto a hallway of brushed steel and soft lighting. Her door was at the end, slightly ajar. He knocked anyway.
"Come in, Brian." Her voice carried through the gap, calm and precise.
He pushed the door open and stepped inside. The space was different tonight. The furniture had been pushed against the walls, leaving the center of the room open. A thick mat covered the floor. And there, laid out in a neat row, were the things from the leather case. Cuffs, ropes, a spreader bar, a blindfold. His throat tightened at the sight of them.
Claudette stood by the window, silhouetted against the city lights. She wore a black dress, simple and severe, her hair loose around her shoulders. She looked at him the way she looked at case files. Assessing. Calculating. Deciding what to use and what to discard.
"You're on time," she said. "That's good. We have a lot to cover before Friday."
Friday. The final hearing. The day his divorce would be finalized, and with it, the last legal thread connecting him to his old life would be cut. He didn't know what would happen after. He was afraid to ask.
"I'm ready," he said, and the lie tasted familiar on his tongue.
"Are you?" She walked toward him, her heels clicking on the hardwood. She stopped a foot away and looked up at him. He was taller, but somehow he always felt smaller. "Take off your clothes. Fold them. Place them on the chair."
He obeyed. The fabric of his shirt felt rough against his fingers. His pants pooled at his feet. He folded everything neatly, the way she'd taught him, and placed it on the chair she'd indicated. When he turned back, she was holding a pair of leather cuffs.
"Knees," she said.
He dropped to his knees on the mat. The surface was firm but not uncomfortable. Cold leather wrapped around his wrists, her fingers adjusting the buckles, the click of the lock echoing in the quiet room. The cuffs were connected by a short chain. He couldn't separate his hands more than six inches.
"Arms behind your back."
He complied, and she added another chain, linking the wrist cuffs to a collar she fastened around his neck. His shoulders pulled back. His chest opened. He felt exposed, vulnerable, completely at her mercy.
She circled him slowly. Her hand brushed his hair, his cheek, his shoulder. "You've been doing well, Brian. Your compliance has been noted. But the final hearing is the most dangerous part of any case. One wrong word, one slip, and everything falls apart."
"I understand," he said.
"Do you?" She stopped in front of him. "Then you understand that I need you completely under control. Not mostly. Not almost. Completely. And that means we need to test your limits tonight."
He swallowed. "Yes, Ms. Brennan."
She walked to the table and picked up a length of rope. Soft, thick, the color of burgundy. She came back and knelt beside him, her body close enough that he could smell her perfume. Jasmine and something metallic. She began wrapping the rope around his chest, crossing it over his shoulders, cinching it tight. The pressure was constant. It felt like being held.
"This is a chest harness," she said as she worked. "It will remind you of your position even when I'm not here. You'll wear it under your clothes tomorrow. All day."
He nodded, his breath shallow.
She finished the harness and stood back to admire her work. "Stand."
He rose, his arms still bound behind him, the rope pressing into his skin. She walked around him, adjusting a strap here, tightening a knot there. Her fingers were clinical, precise. She wasn't touching him for pleasure. She was tuning him like an instrument.
"Now," she said, moving to the table again, "we need to discuss your behavior at the hearing."
He watched her pick up a thin leather paddle. His stomach clenched.
"You will speak only when spoken to. You will answer questions with 'yes, Your Honor' or 'no, Your Honor.' You will not look at your ex-wife. You will not show emotion. You will be a blank slate." She tapped the paddle against her palm. "If you deviate from these instructions, there will be consequences. Do you understand?"
"Yes, Ms. Brennan."
"Good. Bend over the table."
He hesitated for half a second. Just half. But she saw it.
"Was that hesitation?" Her voice was ice.
"No, Ms. Brennan. I'm sorry."
"You will be."
He bent over the table, his bound arms making the position awkward. The wood was cold against his chest and stomach. He heard her move behind him, her heels slow and deliberate on the hardwood. Then the paddle landed. Hard. The impact drove the air from his lungs, a sharp crack that seemed to echo off the walls. A second strike landed lower, catching the curve where his thighs met his ass. A third on the same spot, layering heat over heat. He gritted his teeth and took it.
The fourth stroke came from a different angle, catching him off guard. He flinched, and the chain on his cuffs rattled against the table. She noticed. She always noticed.
"Still," she said. Just the one word, but it carried the weight of a command.
The fifth and sixth strokes fell in quick succession, and he barely had time to process the first before the second landed. His skin was on fire now, a deep, throbbing heat that radiated through his lower body. The seventh was lighter, almost teasing, and that was somehow worse. The eighth made him gasp. The ninth drew a sound from deep in his throat that he couldn't quite suppress.
The tenth was the hardest of all. It landed dead center, and his vision went white for a moment. He bit down on his lip to keep from crying out. When it was over, he was trembling, his forehead pressed against the cool wood of the table, tears leaking from the corners of his eyes. He hadn't made a sound. He'd learned that lesson weeks ago.
She set the paddle down and ran her hand over the reddened skin. Her palm was cool against the heat, and he couldn't suppress a shiver at her touch. "That was for the hesitation. Now we can move on."
She helped him stand and led him to the center of the mat. She unlocked the chain connecting his wrists to his collar and repositioned his arms in front of him. Then she attached the spreader bar to his ankles. The bar forced his feet apart. He couldn't stand comfortably. He couldn't close his legs.
She stepped back and looked at him. Naked, roped, bound, spread. "This is how you'll feel on Friday. Controlled. Exposed. Unable to hide anything. I want you to remember this feeling."
He nodded, his jaw tight.
She picked up a small remote from the table. "You remember this?"
He did. It was the control for the plug she'd used on him before. The one that vibrated and pulsed and pushed him to the edge without letting him fall.
"I want you to practice maintaining composure under distraction," she said. "Because the hearing will be distracting. Your ex-wife will be there. Her attorney will be there. The judge will be watching. And you will need to appear calm and cooperative no matter what you're feeling inside."
She knelt behind him, and he heard the slick sound of lubricant. Her fingers were cold as she pressed against him, stretching him open with practiced efficiency. He gasped at the intrusion, his body clenching and then yielding as she worked the plug into place. It settled deep inside him, filling him with a weight that made him acutely aware of every movement. She stood and pressed a button on the remote. The vibration started low, a gentle hum that spread through his pelvis like warm water. He shifted his weight, trying to find a position that made it bearable.
"No moving," she said. "Stand still."
He forced himself to freeze. The vibration increased, the hum becoming a pulse that radiated outward, pressing against that spot inside him that made his cock twitch and stiffen despite himself. His breath came in short, sharp gasps. The plug shifted with every tiny movement, each pulse sending a jolt of pleasure through his prostate that made his legs shake.
"Tell me what you're feeling."
"I'm... I'm close," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.
"Good. That's the point." She turned the intensity up another notch. The pulse became a steady throb, relentless and insistent. His cock was fully hard now, jutting out from his body, the head flushed and glistening. He wanted to touch himself so badly it was a physical ache. But his hands were bound, and she hadn't given permission. His legs trembled. He closed his eyes and focused on breathing. In. Out. In. Out. The pleasure built, cresting, threatening to spill over. He could feel it coiling at the base of his spine, tightening, climbing toward release.
And then she turned it off.
The silence was shocking. The absence of sensation was almost as overwhelming as its presence. He sagged, his muscles weak, his body aching for release that didn't come. His cock twitched in the empty air, desperate and ignored.
"Again," she said.
She turned it back on. Low at first, then medium, then high. The climb was faster this time, his body already primed and hypersensitive. Every nerve ending felt exposed, raw. The plug pulsed inside him, and he could feel his own heartbeat in his cock, in his ass, in the rope around his chest. He climbed the ladder of sensation again, and again she cut him off at the top. The denial was sharper this time, a physical pain that made him groan through gritted teeth.
The third cycle was worse. She varied the pattern, short pulses followed by long ones, unpredictable rhythms that kept his body guessing. His cock leaked steadily now, a thin strand of precum dangling from the tip. He was shaking. Sweat ran down his temples. His shoulders burned from the strain of his bound arms.
The fourth cycle broke something in him. He stopped trying to anticipate the cutoff. He just stood there and took it, his body a vessel for sensation that had nowhere to go. When she turned it off this time, a sound escaped him. Not quite a sob. Not quite a moan. Something in between.
The fifth cycle was the longest. She kept it on medium, a steady, maddening pulse that kept him right at the edge without pushing him over. Minutes passed. His breathing was ragged. His thighs were trembling so badly he thought he might fall. Tears streamed down his face. He was beyond words, beyond thought. There was only the sensation, and the denial, and her watching him.
"Please," he whispered.
"Please what?"
"Please... can I..." His voice broke. He couldn't finish the sentence.
"No." She turned the remote off and set it on the table. "You don't get to come tonight. You don't get to come until after the hearing. And maybe not even then. It depends on your performance."
He nodded, his throat too tight for words. His cock hung heavy and desperate between his legs, still twitching with phantom pulses. The plug sat inside him, silent now, a reminder of what she could do to him whenever she wanted.
She walked to the window and looked out at the city. "You're doing well, Brian. Better than I expected. But we're not done yet."
She turned and faced him. "I want you to go to your apartment tomorrow evening. I want you to put on the harness under your shirt. I want you to insert the plug. And then I want you to go to the grocery store on the corner and buy a bottle of wine."
His eyes widened. "Ms. Brennan, I can't. Someone might see. The harness... the plug..."
"Exactly." Her voice was flat. "You need to learn to function while controlled. To smile at the cashier while your body is being used. To be normal on the outside while everything inside you is screaming. That's what Friday will require."
"But what if someone notices?"
"Then you'll deal with the consequences. And I'll deal with you afterward." She held his gaze. "This is not a request, Brian. This is preparation."
He looked down at the floor. At the ropes. At the cuffs. At the spreader bar that kept his legs apart. He had no room to argue. No leverage. No escape.
"Yes, Ms. Brennan," he said.
She walked back to him and unlocked the spreader bar. She removed the ropes from his chest, the cuffs from his wrists and ankles. She worked quickly and efficiently, and within minutes he was free. But he didn't feel free. He felt raw and hollow and waiting.
"Get dressed," she said. "I'll text you the details for tomorrow."
He dressed in silence. His hands shook as he buttoned his shirt. When he was finished, he stood by the door, unsure what to do.
She was already at her desk, reviewing papers. She didn't look up. "You can go."
He opened his mouth to speak, then closed it. He left without another word.
The elevator ride down was a blur. The lobby was empty. The street was quiet. He walked home through the cold night air, his skin still tingling from the rope, his body still aching for release that wouldn't come. He thought about Friday. About the hearing. About the grocery store tomorrow. About the harness under his shirt and the plug inside him and the smile he would have to wear.
He thought about how far he'd fallen in two months. And how much further she would take him before she was satisfied.
His phone buzzed as he reached his apartment. A text from her.
Don't forget to edge before bed. I'll know if you don't.
He stared at the screen for a long moment. Then he typed his reply.
Yes, Ms. Brennan.
Judgment Entered
The courtroom felt like a stage where Brian had already lost his lines. He sat at the respondent's table, his soon-to-be-ex-wife across the aisle with her own attorney, and Claudette beside him, radiating the calm satisfaction of a woman who had already won.
Judge Morrison adjusted his glasses and read through the proposed judgment. "Ms. Brennan, Mr. Decker, I've reviewed the settlement agreement. It appears comprehensive. Both parties have signed?"
Claudette rose, smoothing her skirt. "They have, Your Honor. My client and I worked diligently to reach a fair resolution that avoids protracted litigation."
Brian's signature had been obtained three days ago, in her office, after an hour of kneeling at her feet while she reviewed the terms aloud. He had signed with her heel pressed against his thigh, a silent reminder of what happened when he hesitated.
"Ms. Farley, any objections from the petitioner?" the judge asked.
The opposing counsel shook her head. "None, Your Honor. My client is satisfied with the terms."
Brian's wife didn't look at him. She hadn't looked at him in months. He couldn't blame her. He wasn't the man she had married anymore. He wasn't sure what he was.
"Then I'll enter the judgment. Marriage dissolved, property divided per the agreement, no spousal support from either party. You're both free to move on with your lives."
The gavel struck the bench. The sound was final, hollow, utterly without ceremony.
Claudette touched his shoulder. "Stand up, Brian. It's done."
He stood on legs that barely felt like his own. The bailiff was already calling the next case. His marriage had been reduced to a brief slot on a crowded docket.
They walked out of the courthouse together, Claudette's hand firm on his elbow. The spring air was warm but he felt cold, hollowed out, like a building stripped of everything inside.
"Come," she said. "We have more business at the office."
The drive was silent. He stared out the window at the city passing by, a world he no longer belonged to. His apartment was a studio in a building she owned. His bank account held less than two hundred dollars. His career was a memory he wasn't allowed to pursue.
Her office was the same as always. Orderly, expensive, designed to intimidate. She gestured to the chair in front of her desk and he sat, watching her pull a thick document from her briefcase.
"This is your new agreement." She slid it across the polished wood. "Read it carefully. Then sign."
He picked it up. The title read "Ongoing Services Agreement" and the first page was a single sentence in bold: The undersigned, Brian Decker, voluntarily agrees to provide personal and domestic services to Claudette Brennan in exchange for housing, sustenance, and legal protection.
His throat tightened. "This is... this is indefinite."
"It's permanent," she corrected. "Unless I choose to terminate it. Which I won't."
He turned the page. The terms were exhaustive. He would reside in accommodations she provided. He would make himself available for sexual service at her request, any time, any place. He would not seek employment without her permission. He would not maintain contact with anyone from his previous life. He would submit to any discipline she deemed appropriate, including physical punishment and restraint.
His hands were shaking. "Claudette, this is... this is slavery."
"No." She sat down across from him, folding her hands. "Slavery implies you have no choice. You have a choice, Brian. You can sign this and continue to exist in the world I've built for you. Or you can walk out that door and face the consequences of your choices."
"What consequences? The divorce is final."
She smiled, and it was the coldest thing he had ever seen. "The divorce is final. But the IRS audit of your personal finances isn't. Neither is the investigation into the code you wrote for your previous employer, which I'm sure they'd love to know you accessed after your termination. And then there's the matter of the restraining order your ex-wife could file, based on the messages I have that suggest you were unstable during the proceedings."
"I never sent those messages."
"I know. I wrote them. From a phone registered to you." She tilted her head. "Do you think anyone would believe you over me? A successful attorney with impeccable credentials, versus a man who lost everything, including his mind?"
The world tilted around him. He had known she was dangerous. He had not understood the depth of her preparation.
"Sign the agreement, Brian. Or don't. But know that if you don't, I will destroy what's left of you. And I will enjoy it."
His hand moved to the pen. It was the same pen he had used to sign the retainer agreement, months ago, when he had still believed he was hiring help.
He signed.
She took the document, examined his signature, and nodded. "Good boy. Now strip."
"Here?"
"This is my office. You are my property. Strip."
He stood, his movements mechanical, and removed his clothes. The jacket came off first, then the tie, the shirt following. His hands fumbled with the pants before he stepped out of them, and finally the boxers. He stood naked before her desk, his chastity device gleaming dully between his legs.
She stood and walked around to face him. "Kneel."
He dropped to his knees. The carpet was thick and expensive. She had chosen it for exactly this purpose.
"Look at me."
He raised his eyes. She was a tower above him, every inch the woman who owned him.
"You belong to me now," she said. "Not because of a piece of paper, but because you gave yourself to me. Every time you signed, every time you knelt, every time you let me take more, you chose this. Today is just the formal recognition of what you already are."
She stepped closer, her heels clicking on the floor. She was wearing a navy suit, a silk blouse underneath, and she looked every bit the conqueror.
"Open your mouth."
He obeyed. She reached down and pressed her thumb against his tongue, holding his jaw open. "This mouth belongs to me. This throat belongs to me. Every part of you exists for my use."
She withdrew her thumb and wiped it on his cheek. "Lick my shoes."
He bent forward, his tongue touching the polished leather. The taste was bitter, metallic, clean. He licked each shoe in turn, her stockings visible above the heels, his breath coming in short, ragged gasps.
"That's enough." She stepped back. "On your hands and knees. Face the desk."
He turned, his palms pressing into the carpet. He heard her undressing, the rustle of fabric, the click of her heels being removed. Then she was behind him, her bare feet on either side of his thighs.
"Lower your chest to the floor. Keep your hips up."
He complied, his cheek pressing against the carpet. He felt her settle behind him, felt her hands on his hips, and then she pushed into him without warning.
He gasped. She was using a strap-on, and she was already inside him, stretching him, filling him. There was no preparation, no gentleness. She began to move, her hips slapping against his thighs, her hands gripping his waist hard enough to bruise.
"This is what you are now," she said, her voice strained with effort. "A hole. A place for me to use. Nothing more."
He closed his eyes. The carpet was soft against his face. Her rhythm was steady, relentless, each thrust driving him forward, then pulling him back. He could feel his erection straining against the cage, trapped, useless.
"You will not come," she said. "You will never come again unless I allow it. And I don't intend to allow it. Not today. Not for a long time."
She kept going, her breath growing ragged, her movements becoming sharper, more urgent. He was just a surface beneath her, a body to be used. His own pleasure was irrelevant, forbidden, a memory.
She cried out, a sharp sound of release, and her hips pressed against him one last time. She stayed there, buried inside him, breathing hard.
Then she pulled out.
He felt the emptiness immediately, a hollow ache where she had been. She stood and walked around him, naked except for the strap-on, her skin flushed.
"Clean it."
He crawled to her and took the silicone shaft in his mouth. It tasted of her and of him, a mingling he was supposed to accept without question. He licked it clean, his tongue working the surface until she pulled away.
"Put your clothes on. You'll be moving into my building tomorrow. I'll have the key and the unit number for you by tonight."
He dressed slowly, his body aching, his mind numb. When he was finished, she was seated behind her desk again, the agreement in a drawer, his file closed.
"You can go now. I'll text you the details."
He walked to the door. He paused with his hand on the handle.
"Claudette?"
"Yes?"
"What happens now?"
She looked at him, and her smile was small, private, satisfied. "Now you live your life. My life. The only one that matters."
He left. The hallways were empty. The elevator carried him down in silence. Outside, the sun was still shining, and he had nowhere to go that she didn't own.
His phone buzzed. A text from her: Unit 4B. Be there by evening. You'll find your new wardrobe in the closet. Wear the gray sweater and nothing else. I'll be by later tonight.
He looked at the screen. The lock on his cage pressed against his jeans, a constant reminder of his captivity.
He typed back: Yes, Ms. Brennan.
The response came immediately: Good boy.
He stood alone on the sidewalk, surrounded by people who had no idea what he was. A man who had lost everything. A man who had signed away his future. A man who was locked and empty, and would remain that way for as long as she chose.
And he knew, with a certainty that settled into his bones like cold water, that she would choose forever.
Post-Judgment Enforcement
The apartment building smelled like old wood and lavender. Brian stood in the narrow hallway holding a single duffel bag while Claudette unlocked the door to his new home. His new cage. The room was small, maybe ten by twelve, with a twin bed against one wall and a desk beneath a window that faced the brick wall of the neighboring building.
"This will be your quarters," she said, stepping aside to let him enter. "The bathroom is down the hall. Shared, but the other tenants know not to bother you."
He set the bag on the bed and looked around. No television. No personal items except what he had brought. The closet was empty except for a few wire hangers. The air was stale and still.
"Where's my phone?" he asked quietly.
Claudette reached into her jacket pocket and pulled out a small flip phone. Basic. Gray. No screen beyond a simple display. She held it up between two fingers like something distasteful.
"This is your phone now. It calls me and me only. No internet, no texts to anyone else. If I need to reach you, it will ring. You will answer promptly or there will be consequences."
She tossed it onto the bed. It bounced once and settled near his bag.
"My old phone?"
"In my office safe. Along with your laptop, your tablet, and anything else that could connect you to the outside world without my permission."
He opened his mouth to protest but stopped. What was the point? He had signed the agreement. He had agreed to this. The divorce was final. His old life was gone. His job, his apartment, his car, his bank accounts. All of it had been systematically stripped away over the past months until he was nothing but a body standing in a small room waiting for instructions.
"I have a schedule for you," Claudette continued, pulling a folded piece of paper from her other pocket. She handed it to him. "This is your daily routine. You will follow it exactly. Any deviation will result in isolation."
He looked at the paper. The handwriting was precise, neat, each hour accounted for. Wake at dawn, shower, dress. Report to her apartment for morning service. Breakfast and cleaning duties. Personal time in quarters. Lunch and afternoon duties. More personal time or errands as assigned. Report back to her apartment for evening service. Dinner preparation and cleanup. Return to quarters, lock the door, lights out.
"Morning service and evening service," he read aloud. His voice sounded hollow.
"You'll learn what those entail. For now, it is almost six. I suggest you shower and dress. I expect you at my door in thirty minutes."
She turned and walked out, her heels clicking on the hardwood floor. The door closed behind her with a soft click. Not locked. He checked. It was not locked. But where would he go? He had no money, no car, no phone that could call anyone but her. He was trapped here by his own emptiness.
The shower was down the hall, small and tiled in pale green. The water pressure was weak and the hot water ran out quickly. He stood under the lukewarm spray and let it run over his face, trying to wake himself up. He had not slept well in weeks. The bed in his old apartment had been cheap and uncomfortable, but at least it had been his. Now he had a twin mattress and a pillow that smelled like someone else's laundry detergent.
He dressed in the clothes she had approved. Khaki pants, a plain white button-down shirt, brown loafers. Nothing flashy, nothing that would draw attention. She had told him he needed to look respectable when he ran errands for her. Respectable and invisible.
At the appointed time he knocked on the door of apartment 4B. The building was quiet, most of the other tenants still asleep. The door opened and Claudette stood there in a silk robe, her hair loose around her shoulders. She looked softer like this, but no less dangerous.
"On time. Good." She stepped back and let him enter.
Her apartment was large, taking up most of the fourth floor. The living room was decorated in neutrals and grays, expensive furniture arranged around a gas fireplace. The kitchen was open and modern, stainless steel appliances gleaming under recessed lighting. It smelled like coffee and something floral.
"Follow me."
She led him to the bedroom. The bed was large, unmade, the sheets tangled from the night before. She sat on the edge of it and gestured for him to kneel.
He did. There was no hesitation anymore. His knees found the carpet and he settled back on his heels, hands resting on his thighs. She had trained him well.
"Morning service begins with gratitude," she said, her voice calm and measured. "Tell me why you're grateful to be here."
He swallowed. The words came automatically now, practiced and hollow. "I'm grateful that you took me in. That you gave me a place to stay. That you provide for me when I have nothing."
"And?"
"And I'm grateful that you use me. That my body and my time belong to you. That I have purpose serving you."
She smiled, a small satisfied curve of her lips. "Good. Now come here."
He rose and approached her. She parted her robe, letting it fall open to reveal her bare body underneath. Her breasts were full, the nipples already tight with arousal, her stomach flat, the dark hair between her legs already glistening. She had been waiting for him. She had been thinking about this since she woke.
"You know what to do."
He knelt between her thighs and lowered his head. The scent of her hit him first, musky and warm and unmistakably her. He pressed his mouth to her inner thigh and kissed the soft skin there, feeling her muscle tense beneath his lips. He traced a path upward with his tongue, slow and deliberate, tasting the salt of her skin until he reached the edge of her.
He parted her with his tongue and began to work, slowly at first, exploring the folds of her with careful attention. She was already wet, her slickness coating his chin as he pressed deeper. He found her entrance and circled it, teasing, before sliding his tongue inside her. She let out a soft breath and her hand came to rest on the back of his head.
"That's it," she murmured. "Use your tongue. Don't rush."
He obeyed. He withdrew and traced the length of her, from the wet heat of her opening up to the swollen bud of her clit. He circled it slowly, feeling it harden under his attention, then took it gently between his lips and sucked. She gasped, her fingers tightening in his hair, pulling him closer.
He settled into a rhythm, alternating between broad strokes of his tongue and focused pressure on that sensitive nub. Minutes passed. His jaw ached and his knees pressed into the carpet but he did not stop. She tasted stronger in the morning, more herself, more raw. He could feel her thighs beginning to tremble on either side of his head.
Her breathing changed. Her hand tightened in his hair. "Yes. There. Don't stop."
He doubled his efforts, pressing harder, faster, his tongue working in tight circles around her clit. Her hips began to move, rocking against his face, chasing the sensation. He could feel her getting close in the way her muscles tensed, in the sharp catches of her breath.
"More," she whispered. "Inside."
He slid two fingers into her while his tongue continued its work. She was slick and tight, clenching around him immediately. He curled his fingers upward, pressing against the spot she liked, and her back arched off the bed. He matched the rhythm of his hand with the rhythm of his mouth, thrusting and licking in tandem until her whole body went rigid.
She came with a long low moan, her thighs clenching around his head, her hand fisted so tight in his hair that his scalp burned. He felt her pulse against his tongue, against his fingers, wave after wave rolling through her until she finally relaxed. Her grip loosened. Her breathing came in ragged gasps.
She lay back on the bed, chest rising and falling. "Clean me up."
He withdrew his fingers and lowered his mouth again. He licked her slowly, gently, collecting her release from her thighs, from her swollen folds, from the sensitive bud that made her flinch when he touched it. He was thorough and careful, cleaning every trace of her pleasure until she was dry and trembling.
Then he sat back on his heels and waited. His chin was wet. His jaw ached. His knees were sore from the carpet. He did not wipe his face.
"Not bad," she said, looking down at him with half-lidded eyes. "You're learning. Now go make coffee. I take it black, one sugar. Then you'll clean the kitchen and start laundry."
"Yes, Counsel."
He stood and walked to the kitchen, his legs unsteady. The coffee maker was expensive, a sleek espresso machine with too many buttons. He fumbled through it until he produced a cup that looked right. He added the sugar, stirred, and carried it back to her.
She was sitting up now, scrolling through her phone. She took the cup without looking at him. "The cleaning supplies are under the sink. I expect the kitchen to be spotless by the time I finish my shower."
"Yes, Counsel."
He spent the next hour scrubbing counters, wiping down cabinets, mopping the floor. The work was mindless but satisfying in its way. It kept his hands busy and his thoughts quiet. He did not want to think about what he had become. He did not want to think about the months ahead, the years ahead, the endless cycle of service and submission.
When she dismissed him to his quarters, he sat on the narrow bed and stared at the wall. The flip phone sat on the desk, silent. He picked it up and turned it over in his hands. No contacts except her. No way to call anyone. No way to leave a message, send a text, reach out for help.
Not that he had anyone to call. His parents were dead. His friends had drifted away during the divorce, tired of his excuses and cancellations. His ex-wife had moved on, probably relieved to be free of him. He was alone in the world except for the woman who owned him.
The days blurred together after that. Each morning he reported to her apartment, knelt between her thighs, and served her until she was satisfied. Then he cleaned, cooked, ran errands. He picked up her dry cleaning, bought her groceries, dropped off packages at the post office. He did not speak to anyone unless absolutely necessary. He did not make eye contact. He was invisible, a ghost in her service.
The evenings were harder. She would have him kneel beside her chair while she watched television, his head resting on her thigh. Sometimes she would reach down and stroke his hair absently, like a pet. Other times she would ignore him completely, leaving him to kneel in silence until she dismissed him.
On the fifth day he made a mistake.
He had been sent to buy groceries. The list was long, specific brands and quantities. He found everything except the olive oil. The store was out of the brand she wanted. He stood in the aisle for a long time, paralyzed, before grabbing a different brand and hoping she would not notice.
She noticed.
"This isn't what I asked for," she said, holding up the bottle. Her voice was cold, flat, dangerous.
"They were out of the other kind. I thought..."
"You thought wrong." She set the bottle on the counter. "You'll return it tomorrow and find the correct brand. And tonight you won't eat."
"Counsel, please. I was trying to..."
"You were trying to think for yourself. That's the problem." She stepped closer to him, close enough that he could smell her perfume, see the fine lines around her eyes. "You don't think. You don't decide. You obey. That is your only function. Do you understand?"
"Yes, Counsel."
"Say it."
"I understand. I obey. I don't think."
"Good. Now kneel."
He dropped to his knees on the kitchen tile. She walked around him and stood behind him, her heels clicking. He heard her open a drawer, rummage through it. Then she came back and held up a small padlock.
"You'll wear this tonight. It'll remind you of your place."
She reached down and unzipped his pants, pulled them down along with his boxers. The cold metal of the chastity device pressed against him, the plastic ring sliding into place. She locked it with a click that echoed in the quiet kitchen.
"There. You'll sleep in this. You'll shower in this. You'll wear it until I decide you've learned your lesson."
He looked down at the device, at the smooth plastic that encased him. It was uncomfortable, tight, a constant reminder of her control. He had worn it before, during the divorce proceedings, but never for more than a few hours. Now she was keeping it on overnight.
"Go to your quarters. Don't touch yourself. Don't try to remove it. If I find it damaged or missing in the morning, you'll spend the next week in isolation."
"Yes, Counsel."
He stood and pulled up his pants, the device pressing against his thigh. He walked to the door, his steps slow and heavy. At the threshold he paused.
"Counsel?"
"What?"
"I'm sorry. I should've come back and asked you what to do."
She looked at him, her expression unreadable. "Yes. You should have. Now go."
He went. The room felt smaller than ever that night. He lay on the narrow bed, the chastity device a constant pressure against him. He could not sleep. He lay awake staring at the ceiling, feeling the weight of his choices pressing down on him.
He thought about running. He could leave in the morning, walk out the door and keep walking. But where would he go? He had no money, no identification except what she allowed him to carry. His credit was destroyed. His professional reputation was ruined. He had signed documents that gave her power over every aspect of his life.
And somewhere, buried deep beneath the shame and fear, he felt something else. A flicker of arousal at being so completely controlled. A twisted satisfaction in having no choices, no decisions, no responsibility. He hated it and he needed it and he could not separate the two.
The morning came slowly. He woke to the flip phone ringing, her voice telling him to report for service. He went through the motions mechanically, kneeling, serving, cleaning. The chastity device stayed on through the day, through the evening, through another sleepless night.
On the third day she removed it. She unlocked it without ceremony, set it on the bathroom counter, and told him to shower. He stood under the hot water and felt the blood rush back to his skin. It was almost painful, the return of sensation.
When he came out she was waiting for him, naked on the bed. The sight of her struck him like it always did. She was lying against the pillows, her dark hair spread across the white cotton, her body displayed with an ease that came from knowing she owned every room she entered. Her breasts rose and fell with her breathing, the nipples soft and brown, her legs slightly parted to show the dark curls between her thighs.
"You've learned your lesson," she said, watching him stand there with the towel around his waist. "Now show me how grateful you are."
He dropped the towel and approached the bed. His cock was already hard, straining after days of confinement, and he saw her eyes flick down to it and then back up to his face with a small smile.
"Not yet," she said. "That isn't for you."
He knelt on the bed and crawled between her thighs. The scent of her filled his head, warm and rich and familiar. He pressed his lips to the inside of her knee and kissed a slow path upward, feeling her skin warm against his mouth. She shifted beneath him, opening herself wider.
He kissed her mound first, letting his breath ghost over her. Then he parted her with his thumbs and pressed his tongue flat against her, licking from bottom to top in one long slow stroke. She was already wet, swollen, and she let out a soft sound as his tongue found her.
He worked her slowly this time, savoring her. He traced each fold with the tip of his tongue, explored every crease and crevice of her with careful attention. She tasted musky and sweet and he buried his face deeper, pressing his mouth fully against her. He sucked gently on her outer lips, then harder, then slid his tongue inside her and fucked her with it in slow deep strokes.
"Good," she breathed. Her hands came to his head, fingers threading through his hair. "Just like that."
He could feel her getting wetter, her slickness spreading across his chin, his cheeks. He moved to her clit and took it in his mouth, sucking rhythmically while his fingers slid inside her. First one, then two, curling to find that spot inside her that made her gasp and tighten around him.
He built her slowly, varying his pace, reading her body the way she had taught him. When her breathing quickened he pressed harder. When she moaned he slowed down, drawing it out, keeping her on the edge. Her thighs were trembling, her hips rolling against his face, and her fingers in his hair were pulling him impossibly closer.
"Don't stop," she said, her voice tight. "I'm close."
He maintained his rhythm, his tongue working her clit in tight circles while his fingers thrust into her. He could feel her walls clenching around him, feel the tension building in her body like a spring winding tight. She was close, so close, and he held her right there on the edge for a long moment before pressing his tongue hard against her and pushing her over.
She came with a cry, her back arching off the bed, her thighs clamping around his head. He felt her spasm against his mouth, against his fingers, pulsing in waves that seemed to go on and on. He did not stop, did not slow, working her through it until her body finally went limp against the sheets.
He withdrew his fingers gently and licked her clean, his tongue soft and careful now, lapping up every trace of her release. She was sensitive and she flinched when he touched her clit, so he avoided it, focusing on her folds and her thighs and the wet mess she had made of herself.
When he was finished he sat back on his heels and waited. His face was soaked. His cock was achingly hard, jutting up between his thighs, untouched and ignored. She looked at it and then at him.
"You're learning, Brian," she said, her voice lazy and satisfied. "Slowly, but you're learning. There may be hope for you yet."
He did not answer. He stayed on his knees, head bowed, waiting for her next command. His arousal throbbed between his legs, unattended, a reminder that his pleasure was not the point. It never was.
"Go make coffee. Then start the laundry. I've got a busy day and I need you to stay out of trouble."
"Yes, Counsel."
He stood and walked to the kitchen. The sun was rising outside the window, casting long shadows across the floor. He measured the coffee grounds, filled the water tank, pressed the button. The machine hissed and sputtered, filling the room with the smell of fresh coffee.
He stood at the counter and watched the liquid drip into the cup. His hands were steady. His breathing was even. The panic had faded, replaced by a dull acceptance. This was his life now. This was all there was.
He picked up the cup and carried it to her bedroom, ready to begin another day of service.
Permanent Arrangement
The gray light of early morning filtered through the blinds of the apartment that wasn't his. Brian lay on his back on the narrow bed in the room that Claudette called his, though every inch of it belonged to her. The sheets were expensive, the kind he never would have bought for himself, and they smelled of the lavender detergent she preferred.
He had stopped checking his phone weeks ago. There was nothing to check. The accounts were empty, the notifications had stopped, and the few contacts who might have reached out had long since given up. His mother's last voicemail still sat unplayed on the device, a small monument to the life he had abandoned.
The door opened without a knock. It never came with a knock anymore.
"Up."
Claudette's voice was flat, morning casual. She stood in the doorway in a silk robe, her hair loose around her shoulders, a cup of coffee steaming in her hand. She looked at him the way she looked at everything: as something she owned.
Brian swung his legs over the side of the bed. The chastity device pressed against his thighs, a familiar weight now. He had stopped noticing it most of the time, except when he moved too quickly or when she reminded him of its purpose.
"Bathroom first," she said. "Then kitchen. I want you ready by seven."
"Yes, Counsel."
His voice came out quiet, automatic. The words had lost their meaning somewhere along the way, becoming just sounds he made to acknowledge her commands.
The bathroom was small but immaculate. He stood under the hot spray and let the water run over him, not thinking about anything in particular. There was no point in thinking. Thinking led to the edges of his situation, to the walls that closed in on every side, and there was nothing there but the cold fact of his own helplessness.
He dried off and dressed in the clothes she had laid out the night before. Gray slacks, a white shirt, no tie. The clothes fit well, better than anything he had owned before, because she had chosen them and she had an eye for such things. He caught his reflection in the mirror and barely recognized the man looking back. The same face, but something behind the eyes had gone quiet.
In the kitchen, she sat at the small table with her tablet and her coffee. A plate of eggs and toast sat on the counter, still warm. He took it and sat across from her, eating in silence while she scrolled through whatever cases or documents occupied her attention.
"You have appointments this afternoon," she said without looking up. "The cleaner at three, then the grocery delivery at five. I've sent the lists to your phone."
"Understood, Counsel."
She glanced at him then, her eyes moving over his face with the same assessing gaze she used on everything. "You're settling in."
It wasn't a question.
"Yes," he said. "I think so."
"You think so." She set down her tablet and picked up her coffee, studying him over the rim of the cup. "That's not an answer, Brian. Either you are or you aren't."
He set down his fork and met her eyes. "I am."
"Good." She took a sip. "Because this is your life now. The sooner you accept that completely, the easier it will be."
He had accepted it. That was the strange thing. He had fought in the beginning, in his small ways, and she had crushed every attempt with the same cold efficiency she brought to everything. The money had gone first, transferred to accounts he couldn't touch. Then the job, the apartment, the car. Then his body, piece by piece, until nothing remained that she hadn't claimed.
And somewhere in that process, something in him had broken. Or maybe it had been remade. He couldn't tell the difference anymore.
After breakfast, she had him clear the dishes and wipe down the counters. Then she led him to the living room, where the morning light fell across the expensive furniture in long golden rectangles.
"Kneel."
He lowered himself to his knees on the hardwood floor, his hands resting on his thighs. She stood in front of him, looking down with that expression of casual ownership that made his stomach tighten.
"You've been doing well," she said. "No complaints, no arguments. You follow instructions without hesitation."
"Thank you, Counsel."
"But that's the minimum. That's what I expect." She reached down and took his chin in her hand, tilting his face up. "What I want is more. I want you to understand that this is permanent. That there is no end point, no release, no future where you walk away from this."
"I understand."
"Do you?" She released his chin and stepped back. "Then show me. Show me that you understand what you are now."
He knew what she wanted. It had become a ritual over the past weeks, a daily demonstration of his submission. He leaned forward and pressed his lips to the toe of her shoe, holding the position for a long moment before sitting back on his heels.
"Good boy," she said, and the words sent a complicated shiver through him. Shame and something else, something he had stopped trying to name.
She settled onto the couch, her robe falling open to reveal the smooth skin of her thighs. She wasn't wearing anything underneath.
"Come here."
He crawled to her, his knees finding the familiar pressure points on the hardwood. She spread her legs and gestured downward.
"You know what I want."
"Yes, Counsel."
He lowered his head between her thighs, his hands resting on her calves as he pressed his mouth to her. She was already warm and slick, the scent of her filling his senses as he began the slow, methodical work of pleasing her. He started with long, flat strokes of his tongue, tracing the full length of her before circling the swollen bud at her center. She shifted her hips slightly, adjusting his angle, and he followed her guidance without resistance.
This was the daily collection. Not always oral, sometimes she wanted other things, but always there was this: her taking her pleasure from his body, using him as she saw fit. It had become as routine as brushing his teeth, as mundane as checking the mail.
She sighed and leaned back, one hand coming to rest on the back of his head. Not guiding him, just resting there, a reminder of her ownership.
"You're getting better at this," she said, her voice lazy. "I remember when you couldn't look at me while you did it. Now you barely think about it."
He didn't think about it. That was the truth. He had learned to empty his mind during these sessions, to focus only on the physical sensations and the rhythm of her breathing. It was easier that way. His tongue found a steady rhythm, alternating between broad strokes and the focused attention he knew she preferred. He could feel her thighs tensing on either side of his face, the small contractions of her muscles telegraphing her arousal.
Her breathing changed, quickening, and her fingers tightened in his hair. "There. Right there. Don't stop."
He didn't stop. He kept his mouth pressed against her, his tongue moving in the pattern she had taught him, pressing more firmly now, increasing the pace as her body demanded. She grew wetter against his lips, her taste coating his tongue, and he could feel the trembling start deep in her core. He sealed his mouth over her and worked his tongue in tight circles, the way she liked, the way she had trained him to do.
Her thighs clamped against his ears and her hips bucked once, twice, and then her body tensed in a long arch as she let out a shuddering breath. She held his head in place while she came, grinding against his mouth, using his face for her pleasure, and he stayed there, tongue still moving gently, until she pushed him away with a satisfied sigh.
"Good." She sat up, adjusting her robe. "You can clean up. I have calls this morning, so I don't want to be disturbed."
"Yes, Counsel."
He went to the bathroom and washed his face, avoiding his own eyes in the mirror. The taste of her lingered on his lips, familiar now, almost comforting in its predictability.
The rest of the morning passed in the careful structure she had established. He cleaned the apartment, organized the mail, prepared her lunch. When she had calls, he stayed in his room with the door open, waiting for her to need him.
At noon, she called him to her office. She sat behind her desk, her reading glasses perched on her nose, a stack of documents spread before her.
"I need you to sign these."
He took the pen she offered and signed where she indicated without reading. There was no point in reading. The documents were always about transferring something, assigning something, giving her more control over the scraps of his life that remained.
"There's one more thing." She pulled a piece of paper from the bottom of the stack. "This is an agreement for ongoing services. It formalizes our arrangement."
He looked at the page. It was dense with legal language, but he caught the key phrases: "indefinite term," "full authority," "no compensation." He signed his name at the bottom and slid it back across the desk.
"Aren't you going to ask what it says?" she asked, a hint of amusement in her voice.
"No, Counsel."
"Good. Because it doesn't matter." She filed the document away and looked at him over her glasses. "You belong to me, Brian. That paper is just a formality. The truth is written in your bank accounts, in your housing, in every aspect of your existence. There is nowhere you can go that I can't reach you. There is nothing you can do that I can't undo."
"I know."
"And you accept that?"
He thought about it. The question deserved an honest answer, even if only for himself. Did he accept it? He had no resources, no money, no job, no support system. His family thought he was traveling for work. His friends had stopped calling. His ex-wife had her settlement and her new life.
There was nowhere to go. Nothing to run to. And somewhere in the depths of his conditioning, he wasn't sure he wanted to run anymore.
"Yes," he said. "I accept it."
She smiled, and it was the first genuine smile he had seen from her in weeks. "Then we're done with the formalities. From now on, this is just how things are. You serve me. I use you. And we don't pretend otherwise."
"Yes, Counsel."
"Come here."
He walked around the desk and stood beside her chair. She reached up and unbuttoned his pants, pulling them down along with his underwear. The chastity device gleamed in the afternoon light.
"You've been good today," she said, her fingers tracing the metal. "I think you deserve a reward."
She produced a key from her pocket and unlocked the device. The release of pressure made him gasp, and she laughed softly as she set the device aside. His cock swelled immediately, freed from its confinement, thickening and rising as the blood rushed back.
"Don't get excited. This is temporary." She wrapped her hand around him, her grip firm but not cruel, and he hardened completely at her touch, filling her palm. "I'm going to use you now, and then I'm going to lock you back up. That's how it works."
She stroked him slowly, her thumb circling the sensitive head, spreading the bead of moisture that had formed at the tip. He bit back a sound, not wanting to give her the satisfaction, but his hips pushed forward of their own accord, seeking more of her touch.
"See how desperate you are," she murmured, her hand continuing its lazy stroke. "Weeks of this and you still can't control yourself."
She released him and leaned back against the desk, her robe falling open. She hiked it up around her waist and spread her legs, revealing herself to him, glistening and pink. She was already wet, ready, and she reached down to part herself with two fingers, showing him exactly where she wanted him.
"Inside. Now."
He stepped forward and positioned himself between her thighs. The head of his cock pressed against her entrance, and he paused for a moment, trembling, before pushing forward. The sensation was overwhelming after days of denial. She was hot and slick and tight, and he groaned as he slid into her, filling her completely.
"This is what you are," she said as he began to move, her voice steady and calm. "A tool for my pleasure. A resource for my use. Nothing more."
He gripped the edge of the desk and let her use him. There was no pretense of mutual pleasure, no illusion of connection. She wrapped her legs around his waist and pulled him deeper, controlling his pace with her body, setting a rhythm that served her. He existed only to accommodate her, to be hard and present and obedient.
She leaned back on her palms, watching his face as he thrust into her. "Don't come until I tell you."
"Yes, Counsel."
He slowed his pace, fighting the pressure building at the base of his spine. She felt incredible around him, her inner walls gripping him with each stroke, and the effort of holding back was almost more than he could bear. He focused on the rhythm, on the sound of their bodies meeting, on the small sounds she made when he hit the right angle.
"There," she breathed, adjusting her hips. "Right there. Keep that angle."
He obeyed, maintaining the position, driving into her at the depth and angle she demanded. Her breathing grew ragged, and he could feel her tightening around him, her body climbing toward release. She reached down and pressed her fingers against her clit, rubbing in tight circles as he continued to fuck her.
"Harder," she commanded, and he obeyed, slamming into her with enough force to slide the desk back an inch. She cried out, her head falling back, and he felt her come around him, her pussy clenching and pulsing, gripping him so tightly he thought he might lose control.
"Stop," she said, and he froze, buried deep inside her, every muscle tensed against the orgasm that threatened to break through. "Don't move."
He stayed perfectly still, his cock throbbing inside her, while the aftershocks of her pleasure rippled through her body. She looked up at him, her eyes half-lidded, a flush spreading across her chest.
"You can pull out now."
He withdrew, his cock slick with her, achingly hard, desperate for release. She looked down at him and smiled.
"You want to finish."
"Please."
The word came out before he could stop it. She laughed, genuine amusement this time.
"No. That's not how rewards work." She reached for the chastity device on the desk. "This is your reward. You got to feel me, to be inside me. That's more than you deserve."
She knelt down and took him in her mouth, her lips closing around the head of his cock. The wet heat of her was almost unbearable, and he groaned, his hips jerking forward. But she only sucked him for a moment, just long enough to coat him with her saliva, before pulling away.
"That's all you get," she said, and she slid the device back over him, locking it into place. The metal was cold against his swollen, oversensitive flesh, and he winced as she secured it. "You can dress now. I have work to finish."
He pulled up his pants and fastened them, the metal pressing against his trapped arousal. She was already back at her desk, reading through documents, dismissing him without a word.
He went to his room and sat on the edge of the bed, staring at the wall. Outside, the city hummed with life, people going about their days in freedom he could barely remember. He thought about the signed documents, the empty accounts, the locked device between his legs, the phantom sensation of her still clinging to his skin.
This was his life now. Permanent. Without end. Without escape.
And somewhere deep inside, in a place he refused to examine too closely, he found that he didn't mind. The struggle was over. The fear had faded. There was only this: the quiet certainty of belonging to someone, of having no choices left to make.
He heard her call his name from the office, and he stood and went to her, the way he always would, for as long as she wanted him.
There was no end in sight. There was only her. And that was enough.
