The First Visit
Regina Sparks balanced the heavy glass dish against her hip and used her free hand to pull open the side door of Firehouse 17. The familiar smells rolled over her at once, diesel and sweat and strong coffee. Her pulse ticked up. She had made this trip dozens of times over the years, yet tonight the air felt thicker, heavier with something she could not name.
She wore a simple navy sundress that skimmed her full breasts and flared over wide hips. The fabric clung in the late summer humidity. Auburn hair brushed her shoulders, and she had taken extra care with her makeup, telling herself it was only because she missed her husband. Sean had been gone twenty-two hours already. Their bed felt too big, too cold. The ache low in her belly had grown sharper with every passing shift.
Voices echoed from the apparatus bay. She caught sight of a couple of the younger firefighters polishing the truck. They waved, respectful as always. "Mrs. Sparks," one called. "Captain's in the ready room. Want me to get him?"
"I'll find him," she answered, offering a small smile. Her voice sounded steadier than she felt.
Before she reached the hallway, Belinda Gambella stepped out of the administration office. The station administrator moved with the crisp confidence of someone who ran the place without wearing turnout gear. Late thirties, sleek dark hair pulled into a tight bun, sharp cheekbones, and a body honed by daily runs and calculated control. Her white blouse hugged small, firm breasts. The pencil skirt showed off athletic legs. Her eyes, dark and assessing, settled on Regina like she had been expecting her.
"Regina. What a thoughtful surprise." Belinda's smile did not quite reach her eyes. "Lasagna again? The crew will worship you."
Regina shifted the warm dish. "Sean said things have been rough. Staffing shortages. I thought everyone could use a decent meal."
Belinda stepped closer. The subtle scent of her perfume, something expensive and sharp, cut through the firehouse smells. "They could. Morale is in the toilet. Your husband pushes them hard. They respect him for it. But respect doesn't drain the tension out of a man's body after twenty-four hours without sleep or release."
The words landed with quiet precision. Regina felt heat rise in her cheeks. She told herself it was the stuffy air. "Is Sean available? I won't stay long."
"He's on a briefing call with the chief. Might be another twenty minutes." Belinda tilted her head toward her office. "Come wait inside. It's cooler. You look like you could use a minute to breathe."
Regina hesitated. Something in Belinda's tone made the hair on her arms lift. Still, she followed. The office door clicked shut behind them with a soft finality. A large desk dominated the room. Security monitors flickered on one wall, cycling through camera feeds of the bays, the bunk room, the kitchen. Regina tried not to look at them.
Belinda leaned against the desk and crossed her arms. "You've been coming here for years. Always the perfect wife. Always bringing food, always smiling. Tell me something. Does it ever get to you? All these long shifts? All these nights alone in that big house?"
Regina set the lasagna on the small table by the window. Her hands trembled slightly. "We manage. It's part of the job. I knew that when I married him."
"Managing isn't the same as thriving." Belinda's voice dropped, smooth as silk. "The crew is struggling. Three callouts last night. No serious injuries, but the stress piles up. Marcus especially. He's been short-tempered. Snapping at everyone. We can't afford mistakes."
Regina remembered Marcus Hale. Mid-thirties, rugged, short beard, intense eyes that always lingered a second too long when she visited. Loyal to Sean, but there was an edge to him. She swallowed. "I'm sorry to hear that. Sean will figure it out. He always does."
Belinda stepped closer. Close enough that Regina could see the faint line of amusement at the corner of her mouth. "Sean is a good captain. But even good captains need their crews steady. And steady men need outlets. Physical ones."
The implication hung between them. Regina's stomach tightened. She laughed, a nervous sound. "I don't know what you're suggesting."
"Don't you?" Belinda's gaze traveled slowly down Regina's body, tracing the swell of her breasts, the curve of her waist, then back up. "You're a beautiful woman. Loyal. Discreet. The kind of woman who understands sacrifice."
Before Regina could answer, a knock sounded. The door opened without waiting for permission. Marcus Hale filled the frame. His turnout pants hung low on his hips. The department t-shirt stretched across a broad, muscular chest. A faint sheen of sweat glistened on his neck. His eyes found Regina immediately.
"Sorry, Belinda. Didn't know you had company." His voice was rough, tired. But his stare stayed on Regina. "Mrs. Sparks. That smells incredible."
Belinda did not move away. "Perfect timing, Marcus. Regina brought dinner. I was just telling her how much pressure you've been under lately. How the whole crew has."
Marcus closed the door behind him. The click echoed louder than it should have. He rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeah. It's been brutal. Captain's been riding us, but I get it. Still. A man gets wound so tight he can't think straight."
Regina's heart hammered against her ribs. She took a small step back until her thighs met the edge of the desk. "I should go. I'll leave the lasagna. Sean can heat it up later."
Belinda's hand touched her wrist, light but unmistakable. "Stay. Just for a moment. Marcus trusts you. Respects Sean. But right now he needs something only a woman can give. Something quick. Something private."
Regina's mouth went dry. "You can't be serious."
"Dead serious." Belinda's tone stayed calm, professional, as if they were discussing inventory. "No one would ever know. It would be between us. A small act of support for the station that keeps your husband safe every single day. Think of it as helping the team the way only you can."
Marcus watched her, eyes dark with hunger and something like shame. "I wouldn't ask, Mrs. Sparks. Not normally. But fuck. I'm wound so tight I can barely see. Just your hand. That's all. I swear."
Regina's mind spun. This was insane. She loved Sean with every piece of her. He was honorable, strong, exhausted. Yet the nights alone had left her aching in ways she never admitted out loud. Her nipples had tightened against her bra. A traitorous slickness had gathered between her thighs. She hated her body for reacting.
"This is wrong," she whispered. Her voice shook. "I'm his wife."
Belinda leaned in, lips brushing Regina's ear. "And because you're his wife, you understand what he needs. A crew that isn't snapping at each other. A husband who comes home without the weight of the world crushing him. One little handjob. That's all. Marcus will be quick. Then you can go home and pretend it never happened. Or..."
She let the word linger.
Regina looked at Marcus. His breathing had grown heavier. The front of his turnout pants showed a thick, obvious ridge. Her gaze locked there for a second too long. Shame flooded her cheeks.
"I can't," she said. Even as the words left her mouth, her feet stayed planted.
Belinda's fingers slid up Regina's arm, soothing, coaxing. "You can. For Sean. For all of them. No one will think less of you. They'll never even know. But we'll know. And we'll be grateful."
Marcus stepped closer. The scent of him, smoke and soap and pure male, filled Regina's lungs. "Please, Mrs. Sparks. Just your soft hand. I respect the captain. I'd never touch you anywhere he wouldn't want. But God, I need it."
Regina's rational mind screamed at her to walk out. Her body, neglected for months, whispered darker things. She thought of Sean in the ready room, unaware. She thought of the empty bed waiting at home. The words slipped out before she could stop them.
"Only with my hand. Nothing else. And it never leaves this room."
Belinda's smile was slow and satisfied. "Smart girl."
Marcus exhaled like a man granted mercy. He reached down and opened the front of his turnout pants. His cock sprang free, thick and heavy, veins standing out along the shaft. The head was already flushed dark and glistening with a bead of precum. Regina stared. It was bigger than Sean's. The realization sent another pulse of guilty heat through her core.
Belinda guided her gently by the wrist until Regina's palm hovered inches from that rigid length. "Wrap your fingers around him. Nice and firm. He needs to feel how soft you are."
Regina's hand closed around the hot flesh. Marcus groaned deep in his throat. The sound sent an electric jolt straight to her clit. She squeezed experimentally. The skin was velvet over steel. She could feel his heartbeat throbbing against her palm.
"Fuck, that's good," Marcus muttered. His hips twitched forward. "Your hand is so much softer than mine. Stroke it, Mrs. Sparks. Please."
She began to move. Slow at first, dragging her fist from base to tip, spreading the leaking precum down his shaft. The filthy wet sound filled the small office. Belinda watched with hooded eyes, arms folded, clearly enjoying the power she held in this moment.
"Look at him," Belinda murmured. "Look how desperate he is for you. All that tension melting away because of your pretty little hand. Faster now. Twist just under the head. Yes. Like that."
Regina obeyed without thinking. Her breath came quicker. Marcus's cock pulsed in her grip, growing even harder. Clear fluid oozed steadily now, coating her fingers and making the strokes smoother, slicker. The musky scent of him rose between them. Her own pussy clenched rhythmically, empty and aching.
Why does this feel so good? she thought. I'm betraying my husband. But her hand kept moving, faster, tighter. Marcus's eyes had fallen half shut. His jaw clenched.
"Goddamn, Regina. You're gonna make me come so hard. That married hand feels so fucking perfect. Sean has no idea how lucky he is."
The mention of her husband's name should have stopped her. Instead it twisted something dark and hot inside her chest. She pumped him harder, thumb swirling over the sensitive underside of the head on every upstroke. Marcus's breathing turned ragged.
Belinda leaned closer, voice low and commanding. "Don't stop. When he comes, catch it all in your palm. We can't have evidence on the floor, can we?"
Regina whimpered softly. The sound embarrassed her, but she could not hold it back. Marcus suddenly stiffened. His cock swelled in her grip.
"Shit. Here it comes," he growled.
Thick ropes of semen erupted across her fingers and pooled in her cupped palm. The heat of it shocked her. Pulse after pulse, more than she expected. The smell was raw, masculine, overwhelming. She kept stroking through every spasm until he finally sagged against the desk, spent.
For a long moment the only sound was their breathing. Regina stared at the mess in her hand. White and pearly, it coated her wedding ring. The sight sent a wave of shame so intense she nearly cried. Yet her clit throbbed so hard she worried she might come from the pressure alone.
Marcus tucked himself away with shaky hands. He looked at her with something close to reverence. "Thank you, Mrs. Sparks. I mean it. That was... Christ. You just saved my whole night. The captain's a lucky man. I won't ever forget this."
He slipped out of the office without another word, leaving Regina alone with Belinda and the evidence of what she had done.
Belinda handed her a box of tissues from the desk. Her expression was calm, almost affectionate. "See? That wasn't so terrible. One small act and the whole crew will function better tomorrow. Imagine what would happen if you helped more than once. If you became our private relief on the long shifts. No one would ever know except the ones who need it. Sean would come home to a happier station. And you..." She brushed a strand of auburn hair behind Regina's ear. "You would finally have an outlet for all that frustration I see in your eyes."
Regina cleaned her hand in silence. Her mind screamed that this was the end of it. One mistake. Never again. But her body still hummed. The taste of forbidden power lingered on her tongue.
Belinda smiled as if she could read every thought. "Go home, Regina. Kiss your husband when he gets off shift. Think about what I said. Then come back tomorrow with another dish. Or don't. The choice is yours."
She paused at the door, dark eyes glittering.
"But we both know you'll be back."
Regina walked out of the firehouse on unsteady legs. The warm evening air did nothing to cool the fire under her skin. In her car she gripped the steering wheel until her knuckles whitened. The scent of Marcus still clung to her fingers no matter how many times she wiped them.
She started the engine and drove toward home, the weight of Belinda's final words sitting heavy in her chest like a promise she had not yet agreed to.
Yet the ache between her thighs told her the arrangement had already begun.
