The New Hire
Daniel Shokley had his life exactly where he wanted it.
He stood in front of the bathroom mirror as early morning light crept through the window, adjusting his tie with practiced precision. The navy blue silk matched his suit perfectly, a gift from Karina last Christmas. She always knew what looked good on him. She knew everything about him, really. That was what a decade together did for a couple.
He heard her heels clicking on the hardwood floor before she appeared in the doorway, already dressed in a charcoal pencil skirt and cream blouse. Her dark hair was pinned up, elegant and severe. She looked like she belonged on the cover of a business magazine.
"You're going to be late," she said, but her voice was soft. Teasing.
"I'm never late." Daniel turned and caught her around the waist, pulling her close. She fit against him perfectly, her head tilting up for his kiss. "That's your thing."
Karina laughed against his mouth. "Someone's feeling confident this morning."
"I have a good life." He kissed her again, slower this time. "A great wife. What else could I want?"
Something flickered in her eyes. Just for a second. Then it was gone, replaced by her usual warm smile. "Nothing at all, sweetheart. Now come on. We have that team meeting this morning, and I want to go over the agenda before everyone arrives."
The drive to Shokley-Morris Advertising was familiar and uneventful. Daniel drove while Karina reviewed notes on her tablet, occasionally reading out loud to get his input. They worked at the same company, had for several years now. He was a mid-level marketing executive, solid and dependable. She was his supervisor, the youngest department head in the company's history.
Some men might have felt threatened by that. Daniel never did. He was proud of her. They kept their marriage professional at work, no public displays of affection, no obvious favoritism. It was a system that worked.
"We're bringing on a new hire today," Karina said, not looking up from her tablet. "Greg Beeman. He's transferring from the Chicago office. Creative department."
"I thought Creative was fully staffed."
"It is now." She smiled, but it didn't quite reach her eyes. "He's got an impressive portfolio. I think he'll be a good fit for the team."
Daniel shrugged. "I'll take your word for it."
The office was already buzzing when they arrived. Daniel grabbed coffee from the break room while Karina headed to the conference room to set up. He took his time, savoring the quiet before the chaos of the day began. He liked this part of his routine. The predictability of it. The comfort.
He didn't know then that everything was about to change.
The conference room filled up quickly. Daniel took his usual seat near the middle of the table, close enough to see the presentation screen but far enough to observe everyone. His team filed in one by one. Mark with his endless energy. Julie with her sharp questions. And then someone new.
Greg Beeman walked in like he owned the place.
He was younger than Daniel had expected, maybe late twenties, with dark hair that fell perfectly into place and a smile that seemed permanently fixed on his face. He was wearing a fitted blazer over a t-shirt, which was technically against the dress code but somehow looked right on him. He had the kind of confidence that made you want to trust him immediately.
Or maybe that was just Daniel's first impression.
"Everyone, this is Greg Beeman," Karina announced from the front of the room. She was standing beside the presentation screen, her posture perfect, her voice carrying authority. "Greg is joining us from our Chicago branch, and I have to say, his work speaks for itself. He won the Dawson Award last year for his campaign on sustainable energy. The man knows how to tell a story."
Greg waved casually, his eyes scanning the room. When they landed on Daniel, they lingered for just a moment longer than necessary.
"I'm excited to be here," Greg said. His voice was smooth, warm. "I've heard great things about this team. I'm looking forward to collaborating with all of you."
Karina nodded. "I've already assigned Greg to a few key projects. He'll be working closely with Daniel on the Henderson account. Daniel, I think you'll find his perspective refreshing."
Daniel felt everyone's eyes shift to him. He straightened in his chair. "Sounds good. Welcome to the team, Greg."
"Thanks, man." Greg's smile widened. "I'm looking forward to picking your brain."
The meeting continued with the usual updates and deadlines. Daniel tried to focus, but he kept noticing small things. How Greg leaned back in his chair, completely at ease. The easy laugh he offered at Mark's jokes, loud and genuine. And his eyes kept drifting back to Daniel throughout the presentation.
It was probably nothing. New guy trying to make connections. That was normal.
But there was something about the way Greg looked at him. A warmth that felt less like professional interest and more like something else. Something Daniel couldn't quite name.
He pushed the thought away.
After the meeting, Daniel headed back to his cubicle to review the Henderson files. He was deep in spreadsheets when a shadow fell over his desk.
"Hey, partner."
Daniel looked up. Greg was standing there, two cups of coffee in his hands. He set one down on Daniel's desk.
"I figured we should start off on the right foot." Greg grinned. "I always bring coffee to my collaborators. It's my thing."
"Thanks." Daniel took the cup, feeling awkward. "You didn't have to do that."
"I wanted to." Greg pulled up a chair and sat down without being invited. He leaned forward, his elbows resting on his knees. "So. The Henderson account. What's the deal?"
Daniel spent the next hour walking Greg through the project. The client wanted a complete rebrand, something modern and edgy but still accessible. It was a tricky balance. Daniel had been working on it for weeks without finding the right angle.
Greg listened carefully, occasionally asking questions that cut straight to the heart of the problem. He had a sharp mind. Daniel had to admit that.
"Okay, I think I see the issue," Greg said finally. "You're trying to play it safe. Henderson wants something bold, but you're giving them polished. There's a difference."
Daniel frowned. "I'm giving them what works. Safe is smart in this industry."
"Safe is boring." Greg's eyes sparkled. "But don't worry. I'll help you loosen up."
The way he said it made Daniel's stomach tighten. He told himself it was just the coffee.
Over the next week, Daniel found himself working with Greg more and more. Karina had assigned them to three joint projects, and their desks were moved closer together for efficiency. They spent hours brainstorming, arguing, laughing. Greg had a way of making even the dullest tasks feel exciting.
And he touched Daniel constantly.
It was subtle at first. A hand on the shoulder when he wanted to show Daniel something on his screen. A pat on the back after they landed a good pitch. Fingers brushing against Daniel's when they reached for the same file.
Each touch sent a jolt through Daniel's system. He told himself it was nothing. Greg was just a touchy person. Some people were like that. It didn't mean anything.
But at night, lying in bed beside Karina, Daniel found himself replaying those moments. The warmth of Greg's hand. How his voice dropped when he was explaining something important. That smile that seemed reserved just for Daniel.
"You've been quiet lately," Karina said one night, her hand resting on his chest. "Is everything okay at work?"
"Fine. Just tired." Daniel turned to face her, burying his face in her hair. "The new guy is a lot of energy. It's exhausting keeping up with him."
Karina laughed softly. "Greg does have that effect on people. But he's good, isn't he? I knew he'd be a great addition to the team."
"Yeah. He's good."
Daniel closed his eyes and tried to sleep. But his mind kept drifting back to the office. To how Greg had looked at him today during their lunch break, his head tilted, his eyes half-lidded. Like he was seeing something Daniel couldn't see.
Like he was waiting for something.
Daniel shook his head, physically shaking off the thought. He was being ridiculous. Greg was a coworker. A good one, sure. But just a coworker. Nothing more.
He had a wife he loved. A life that made sense. He wasn't going to let a few lingering glances and accidental touches throw him off balance.
The next morning, Daniel arrived at the office early to find Greg already at his desk. He was wearing a tight gray sweater that hugged his shoulders, and he was humming softly as he worked.
"Morning, partner." Greg looked up and smiled that same warm smile. "I ordered breakfast. Figured we could eat together and go over the Henderson presentation before the client call."
Daniel felt that familiar tightness in his chest. "Sounds good."
He sat down at his desk, his heart beating a little faster than usual. He told himself it was just the caffeine.
It was just the caffeine.
It had to be.

It was just the caffeine.
It had to be.
Late Nights at the Office
The office had a different feel after seven. The fluorescent lights hummed a lower frequency, and the usual bustle of keyboards and chatter faded into a distant murmur from other floors. Daniel sat at his desk, staring at the spreadsheet on his monitor without really seeing it. The numbers blurred together, meaningless shapes against a white background.
He checked his watch. Well past seven, the kind of hour when the building emptied and the real work could begin in silence.
Karina had called him into her office just before five, her voice carrying that particular tone he'd learned to recognize over their years together. Not quite a request, not quite an order. Something in between that left no room for refusal.
"I need you and Greg to finalize the Q3 projections tonight," she had said, handing him a folder thick with documents. "The board moved up the deadline, and I trust your work more than anyone else's."
The compliment had warmed him even as the implication settled in his stomach like a stone. More late nights. More time alone with Greg.
He'd told himself it was fine. It was work. He was a professional. He'd worked late with plenty of colleagues before, men and women alike, and never once felt this strange undercurrent of tension. But something about the way Karina had smiled when she mentioned Greg's name made him think this wasn't just about projections.
The door to the small conference room opened, and Greg walked in carrying two glasses and a bottle of red wine.
"Karina's contribution," Greg said, setting them down on the table between their workstations. "She said we'd earned it."
Daniel watched as Greg uncorked the bottle with practiced ease, the rich scent of cabernet filling the space between them. "She didn't mention wine."
"She's full of surprises." Greg poured two generous glasses and slid one toward Daniel. "Relax. It's just wine. We're still working."
Daniel took the glass, his fingers brushing against Greg's for the briefest moment. The contact sent an unexpected jolt through his hand, up his arm, settling somewhere in his chest. He pulled back quickly, hoping the movement seemed casual.
"To meeting deadlines," Greg said, raising his glass.
"To meeting deadlines." Daniel clinked his glass against Greg's and took a long sip. The wine was smooth, expensive. Karina always chose well.
They worked in companionable silence for the next hour, the only sounds the click of keyboards and the occasional sip of wine. Daniel found himself relaxing despite his earlier apprehension. Greg was focused, efficient, his fingers flying across the keyboard with practiced ease. There was something almost hypnotic about watching him work.
As the evening deepened, Karina appeared in the doorway, her coat already on and her bag over her shoulder.
"I'm heading out," she said, her eyes moving between them. "You two have everything you need?"
Daniel nodded. "We're almost done with the initial draft."
"Good. Don't stay too late." She stepped closer to Daniel, placing a hand on his shoulder. Her touch was warm, familiar. "I'll see you at home."
She leaned down and kissed him, a brief press of lips that felt different somehow. Public but intimate, a reminder of their connection. When she pulled back, her eyes met his with a look he couldn't quite read.
"Take care of him," she said to Greg, her voice light but carrying an undercurrent of something else. "He works too hard."
"I'll make sure he takes breaks," Greg replied, his smile easy and confident.
Karina left, and the room felt smaller without her presence. Daniel finished his wine and poured another glass, telling himself it was just to steady his nerves. The first glass had done little to quiet the hum of awareness that had been building since Greg walked in.
"Your wife is something else," Greg said, leaning back in his chair. "She's got this way of making everyone around her feel like they're the most important person in the room."
"She's always been like that," Daniel said. "It's part of what makes her good at her job."
"And part of what makes her good at being your wife, I imagine."
Daniel looked up, caught off guard by the observation. Greg's expression was open, curious, without any hint of judgment.
"I suppose so," Daniel said slowly. "I've never really thought about it that way."
Greg turned back to his computer, but the moment lingered between them. Daniel found himself studying the curve of Greg's jaw, the way his shirt stretched across his shoulders when he reached for his mouse. He looked away quickly, focusing on his own screen, but the image stayed burned into his vision.
Another hour passed. The wine bottle emptied. Daniel's head felt pleasantly fuzzy, the edges of his usual careful control softening. Greg had moved closer to review something on Daniel's screen, their shoulders almost touching.
"See, if we adjust this variable here," Greg said, pointing at a cell in the spreadsheet, "the whole projection shifts. It's more aggressive, but it's also more realistic."
Daniel nodded, but he wasn't really paying attention to the numbers. He was aware of Greg's scent, something clean and slightly spicy. He was aware of the warmth radiating from Greg's body, just inches away. He was aware of the way his own breathing had changed, shorter and shallower than it should be.
"Daniel?" Greg's voice broke through his haze. "You okay?"
"Yeah. Fine." He cleared his throat. "Just tired. Long day."
"We can wrap this up. I'll send the draft to Karina for review tomorrow."
"Good. That's good."
Neither of them moved. The silence stretched, filled with something unspoken. Daniel could feel his heart beating in his chest, a steady rhythm that seemed too loud in the quiet room.
Greg turned to face him fully, their knees almost touching under the table. "Can I ask you something personal?"
Daniel's throat tightened. "Sure."
"How long have you and Karina been together?"
"Ten years. Married for seven."
"That's a long time." Greg's voice was soft, contemplative. "You must know each other pretty well by now."
"I thought I did." The words slipped out before Daniel could stop them. He shook his head, trying to laugh it off. "I mean, of course I do. We're married. We know everything about each other."
Greg's eyes held his, steady and warm. "Do you?"
The question hung in the air between them. Daniel's mind raced, trying to find the right response, but every answer felt wrong. He thought about Karina's strange behavior lately, the way she watched him and Greg together, the knowing smile that played on her lips.
"I don't know what you're asking," Daniel said finally.
"I'm not asking anything specific." Greg leaned back, giving him space. "I'm just saying that sometimes people surprise us. Even the people we think we know best."
Daniel took a breath, trying to steady himself. The wine had loosened something inside him, a door he usually kept firmly closed. He could feel it creaking open, letting in light he wasn't sure he wanted to see.
"What about you?" Daniel asked, deflecting. "Anyone special in your life?"
Greg laughed, a low sound that sent a shiver down Daniel's spine. "No one permanent. I've been enjoying being single, meeting new people. There's something exciting about not knowing what's going to happen next."
"I couldn't handle that. The uncertainty would drive me crazy."
"Maybe. Or maybe you'd find out you like not having all the answers." Greg's eyes held his again, and Daniel felt something shift in his chest. "Sometimes the best things in life are the ones we never saw coming."
The words settled into Daniel's mind, taking root. He thought about the path his life had taken: the steady progression from college to career to marriage to the house in the suburbs. All planned, all predictable. All safe.
But sitting here, in this quiet office with wine warming his blood and a man he barely knew looking at him with patient understanding, Daniel felt the edges of that safe world blur. He felt possibility creeping in, unwelcome and irresistible.
"I should go," Daniel said, standing up too quickly. The room swayed for a moment, and he gripped the edge of the table to steady himself.
"Easy." Greg stood too, reaching out to steady him. His hand closed around Daniel's arm, firm and warm. "You've had a lot to drink. Let me call you a car."
"I can drive."
"You shouldn't. Not with that much wine in you." Greg's hand stayed on his arm, grounding him. "Come on. Sit down. I'll take care of it."
Daniel let himself be guided back into his chair. Greg pulled out his phone and ordered a ride, his voice calm and efficient. When he was done, he sat down across from Daniel, their knees almost touching.
"The car will be here shortly. I'll walk you down."
"Thanks." Daniel rubbed his face, trying to clear the fog. "I'm sorry. I don't usually drink this much at work."
"Don't apologize. You needed to relax." Greg's voice was gentle, without any judgment. "It's been a long week."
Daniel nodded, not trusting his voice. The room felt smaller than it had before, the air thicker. He could feel Greg's presence like a physical weight, pressing against his awareness.
"Can I ask you something else?" Greg said.
"Sure."
"When was the last time you did something just for yourself? Something that made you feel alive?"
Daniel opened his mouth to answer, then closed it. He couldn't remember. His life was a series of obligations, responsibilities, things he had to do. When was the last time he'd done something because he wanted to, because it made his heart race and his blood sing?
"I don't know," he admitted.
Greg nodded slowly, as if he'd expected that answer. "You should try it sometime. Do something unexpected. Something that scares you a little."
"Like what?"
Greg leaned forward, his eyes holding Daniel's. "Like letting yourself feel whatever you're feeling right now without judging it."
Daniel's breath caught. The words hit too close to home, cutting through the defenses he'd built so carefully. He could feel the truth of them pressing against his chest, demanding acknowledgment.
"I don't know what I'm feeling," he said, but the lie was thin, transparent.
"Sure you do." Greg's voice was barely above a whisper. "You're feeling curious. You're feeling excited." He paused, letting the words settle. "And you're feeling something else. Something you've been trying to ignore."
Daniel's heart hammered in his chest. He could feel the heat rising to his face, the tension coiling in his stomach. His body was responding in ways his mind was desperately trying to deny.
"I should go," he said again, his voice rough.
"The car's here." Greg stood and offered his hand. "Come on. I'll walk you down."
Daniel took his hand, and the contact sent another jolt through his system. Greg's grip was firm, steady, pulling him to his feet. For a moment they stood close, their faces inches apart, and Daniel could see the flecks of gold in Greg's brown eyes.
"Thank you," Daniel said, his voice barely audible. "For everything."
"Anytime." Greg's smile was warm, genuine. "Get home safe. I'll see you tomorrow."
Daniel walked to the elevator on unsteady legs, his mind spinning. He could still feel the phantom pressure of Greg's hand on his arm, the warmth of his body, the weight of his words.
In the elevator, alone, he pressed his forehead against the cool metal wall and closed his eyes. His body was still humming with an energy he couldn't name, a tension that had nowhere to go.
It's just stress, he told himself. The wine. The late hours. The pressure of work.
But even as he thought it, he knew it was a lie. Something had shifted tonight, something he couldn't undo. The door was open now, and he wasn't sure he wanted to close it.
His phone buzzed. A text from Karina: "How did it go?"
He stared at the screen for a long moment before typing back: "Fine. Finished the draft. Heading home now."
Her reply came almost instantly: "Good. I'm proud of you. Sleep well."
The elevator doors opened onto the lobby, and Daniel stepped out into the cool night air. The city hummed around him, cars and people and lights, all moving with purpose. He felt adrift, caught between the life he knew and something he couldn't yet name.
The ride home passed in a blur. When he finally walked through the front door, the house was dark and quiet. Karina had left a light on in the hallway, a small beacon guiding him through the familiar space.
He climbed the stairs slowly, each step feeling heavier than the last. When he reached the bedroom, Karina was already asleep, her breathing soft and even. He stood in the doorway, watching her for a long moment, trying to reconcile the woman he knew with the strange new currents in their marriage.
He undressed in the dark and slid into bed beside her. Her warmth was familiar, comforting, but his mind was elsewhere. He lay awake, staring at the ceiling, replaying the evening in his mind.
The wine. The conversation. The touch.
The feeling that had stirred in his chest when Greg looked at him with those knowing eyes.
It's nothing, he told himself. It's just curiosity. It's just the wine.
But deep down, in the part of himself he rarely acknowledged, he knew it was more than that. Something had awakened tonight, something that had been sleeping for a long time.
And he wasn't sure he wanted to put it back to sleep.
The Wife's Observation
The apartment was dark when Daniel stepped through the door, just the soft glow of a single lamp in the living room. He dropped his briefcase by the entrance, loosened his tie, and listened. Silence. Karina was home. Her car sat in the garage, but she wasn't in the kitchen or the bedroom. He found her on the couch, legs crossed, a glass of wine in her hand, her laptop open on the coffee table.
"You're late," she said, not looking up. Her voice was calm, almost too calm.
"I know. The project with Greg ran long again. We were just..." He stopped, the memory of Greg's hand on his shoulder surfacing unbidden, the warmth of his breath, the sudden tightness in his pants. He pushed it away. "We were finishing the quarterly report."
Karina finally looked at him, a slow smile spreading across her lips. "Is that what you were doing?"
Daniel's stomach tightened. "What do you mean?"
She closed the laptop, set it aside, and patted the cushion beside her. "Come here. Sit with me."
He obeyed, his legs heavy as he crossed the room. He sat down, leaving a few inches between them. She leaned over, her fingers brushing his thigh, and handed him a glass of wine he hadn't noticed on the side table.
"Drink," she said. "You look like you need it."
He took a sip, the rich red coating his tongue. "Karina, what's going on?"
She watched him for a long moment, her dark eyes unreadable. Then she reached for the laptop, opened it, and turned it toward him. The screen showed a video, paused. It was the office. His office. The camera angle was from the ceiling, a wide shot of the desk, the couch, the bookshelf.
"Do you recognize this?" she asked.
Daniel's heart stopped. "That's... my office. Where did you get this?"
"I installed the cameras last month. For security purposes, I told IT. But really, I wanted to see what happens when I leave you two alone." She pressed play.
The video showed him and Greg at the desk, working. Then Greg stood, walked around, leaned over Daniel's shoulder. The timestamp showed it was from tonight. Daniel watched himself shift, saw Greg's hand land on his shoulder, saw his own body lean into the touch. His face flushed.
"Karina, I can explain. It's not what it looks like. We were just..."
"Shh." She put a finger to his lips. "Keep watching."
The video continued. Greg's hand moved from his shoulder to his neck, a gentle massage. Daniel saw himself close his eyes, saw his lips part. He saw the tent in his trousers, the way his hips shifted. He wanted to look away, but he couldn't.
"You liked it," Karina said, her voice a whisper. "You liked his hands on you."
"No, I..." But the words died in his throat. The evidence was right there.
The video ended with Greg pulling away, Daniel looking disappointed. Karina closed the laptop and set it aside. She took his hand, interlacing her fingers with his, and squeezed.
"I'm not angry, Daniel. I'm not jealous. I'm... aroused."
He blinked, sure he had misheard. "What?"
"I've been watching you for weeks. The way you react to him. The way your body responds. It's beautiful." She leaned closer, her breath warm on his cheek. "I want you to know that this is okay. That I want this for you."
Daniel pulled back, his mind reeling. "This is crazy. I'm not gay. I'm married. To you."
"I know. And I love you. But I also love watching you explore. It's like a game, Daniel. A game we can play together."
"A game?" His voice was hollow.
"Yes. I set this up. I hired Greg because I knew he could help you. I've been guiding him, telling him what to do, how to touch you. And you've been responding perfectly." She smiled, a predatory glint in her eyes. "You're doing so well."
Daniel's hands trembled. He set the wine glass down before he dropped it. "You've been manipulating me? Using me?"
"No, darling. I've been liberating you. You've been suppressing this part of yourself for so long. I'm giving you permission to embrace it." She cupped his face, her thumb stroking his cheek. "Don't you feel it? The relief? The excitement?"
He wanted to deny it, to scream, to run. But instead, he felt a strange warmth spreading through his chest. She was right. There was a part of him that was relieved. That was curious. That was... excited.
"I don't know what I'm feeling," he whispered.
"That's okay. You don't have to know. You just have to trust me." She kissed his forehead, soft and lingering. "I've been watching you, Daniel. I've seen the way you look at Greg. The way your breath catches when he touches you. The way you harden when he's close."
He closed his eyes, shame burning in his gut. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."
"Don't apologize. This is what I wanted. This is what I've been working toward." She pulled back, her expression serious. "I want you to keep going. I want you to let him touch you, kiss you, do whatever he wants. And I want to watch."
Daniel's eyes snapped open. "Watch?"
"Yes. I'll be there, in the room, or through the cameras. I want to see you surrender to it. I want to see you enjoy it." She leaned in, her lips brushing his ear. "I want to see you come undone."
His breath hitched. The image flashed in his mind: Greg's hands on him, Karina watching, her eyes hungry. It should have been horrifying. Instead, it sent a jolt of electricity straight to his groin.
"I can't," he said, but his voice was weak.
"You can. You will. For me." She kissed his neck, soft and slow. "Think of it as a gift. A gift to yourself. A gift to me."
He sat there, frozen, as she kissed down his throat, her hand resting on his thigh. His mind was a storm of contradictions. He loved his wife. He was faithful. He was straight. But his body was responding to her words, to the memory of Greg's touch, to the promise of more.
"What if I don't want to?" he asked, but even as he said it, he knew it was a lie.
"You do want to. You've wanted to since the moment you met him. You just didn't know how to admit it." She pulled back, looking into his eyes. "I'm giving you permission, Daniel. I'm giving you the freedom to explore. Don't waste it."
He swallowed hard. The guilt was still there, a heavy weight in his chest. But beneath it, a spark of curiosity flickered, growing stronger. What would it feel like? To kiss Greg? To let him take control? To have Karina watch, to see her arousal feed his own?
"I don't know if I can," he said, his voice barely a whisper.
"You can. And you will. Not tonight. But soon." She stood, taking his hand and pulling him to his feet. "Come to bed. I want to show you how much this turns me on."
He followed her, his legs unsteady. In the bedroom, she undressed him slowly, her hands worshipful. She kissed his chest, his stomach, the sharp lines of his hips. She guided him to the bed and straddled him, her body warm and familiar, yet tonight it felt different. Everything felt different.
"Close your eyes," she whispered. "Think of him."
He did. He thought of Greg's hands, Greg's smile, the way Greg looked at him like he was something precious. And when Karina moved against him, when she moaned his name, he let himself imagine it was Greg beneath him, Greg inside him.
The orgasm hit him like a wave, crashing through his body, leaving him breathless. Karina collapsed beside him, her hand on his chest.
"See?" she said, her voice soft. "It's not so scary. It's just pleasure. And I want you to have all of it."
He stared at the ceiling, his heart pounding. The seed had been planted. The curiosity was blooming. And he knew, with a certainty that terrified him, that he would do whatever she asked.
"Okay," he said, the word tasting like surrender. "I'll try."
Karina smiled, kissed his cheek, and curled against him. "That's my good husband."
And as he drifted off to sleep, Daniel couldn't stop thinking about Greg's hands, about Karina's eyes, about the game they were playing. He was afraid. But he was also, for the first time in years, truly alive.
Hands-On Training
The company retreat was supposed to be about team building and strategic planning. That's what the email had said. That's what Daniel kept telling himself as he packed his bag on Friday morning, folding polo shirts and khakis with mechanical precision.
Karina watched from the bed, propped against the pillows with her coffee. She had that look again. That knowing, satisfied look that had been appearing more often in the past few weeks.
"You're nervous," she said. It wasn't a question.
"I'm not nervous. I just don't love the idea of spending a whole weekend with coworkers." Daniel zipped his bag. "You know I'm not the campfire bonding type."
"You'll have fun. Greg will be there."
His hands paused on the zipper. The name sent something through him. A flutter. A ripple. He couldn't name it and didn't want to.
"Great," he said, keeping his voice flat. "More time for project planning."
Karina's smile widened. She knew. She always knew.
The retreat center was a converted lodge about an hour outside the city, surrounded by pine trees and mist. Daniel arrived in the late afternoon, found his room, and immediately regretted everything.
The rooms were small. The beds were close. And when he opened the door to find Greg already inside, unpacking a duffel bag on the far bed, his stomach dropped.
"Hey, roommate." Greg grinned. "Hope you don't snore."
"I don't. I mean, I don't think I do." Daniel stood frozen in the doorway. "They said we'd have individual rooms."
"They changed the assignment. More cost effective, I guess." Greg shrugged, easy and unbothered. "Don't worry, I'm a very considerate sleeper."
Daniel forced himself to enter the room. To put his bag on the empty bed. To act normal. This was fine. It was just a room with a bed for a weekend.
The first evening was all icebreakers and presentation slides and dinner in the main hall. Daniel sat next to Greg because that's where the empty seat was. Because Karina was at the head of the table, watching everything with those sharp, amused eyes.
"You seem tense," Greg said, leaning close to be heard over the chatter.
"I'm fine."
"Your shoulders are up by your ears. Classic stress posture."
Daniel forced his shoulders down. "Better?"
"A little. But I'm a certified massage therapist. Well, I was, before I got into marketing. I could work out those knots for you."
The offer hung in the air. Daniel's brain scrambled for a response. A refusal. Something professional and dismissive.
"I don't think that's necessary."
"It's just a massage, Daniel. Very professional. Very clinical." Greg's smile was anything but clinical. "Think about it. We've got a free hour before the evening session."
Daniel thought about it. He thought about it all through dinner, through the after-dinner presentation, through the walk back to the room. His shoulders were killing him. That was true. He'd been carrying tension for weeks, months maybe. A massage would help. It was practical. It was normal.
Greg was already in the room when Daniel arrived, lighting a candle on the nightstand. The flame flickered, casting shadows on the walls.
"I brought some lavender oil. Helps with relaxation." Greg patted the bed. "Take off your shirt and lie down."
"This is weird," Daniel said.
"It's only weird if you make it weird. I've given hundreds of massages. Friends, family, strangers. It's a skill. A service." Greg's voice was patient, unhurried. "But if you're not comfortable, we don't have to."
Daniel should have said no. Every rational part of his brain screamed at him to say no. But there was another part. A part that had been growing stronger since that night in the office. Since the conversation with Karina. Since the hidden footage and the confession and the permission she had given him without really giving it.
He took off his shirt.
The air was cool on his skin. He lay face down on the bed, his cheek pressed to the pillow, his eyes closed. The mattress dipped as Greg shifted position.
"Just relax," Greg said. "Breathe."
Warm hands settled on his shoulders. Daniel flinched at the contact, then forced himself to go still. The hands were strong, the fingers pressing into the tight muscle with practiced precision.
"God, you're knotted up," Greg murmured. "This is going to take a while."
The pressure increased. Daniel felt the tension start to release, slowly, grudgingly. Greg worked methodically, starting at the neck and moving outward, finding each knot and working it loose with circular pressure.
"Tell me if anything hurts."
"Everything hurts."
"That's the tension talking. Give it a minute."
The minutes passed. Daniel's breathing slowed. His muscles softened under Greg's hands. The lavender oil smelled good, calming, mixing with the warmth of the room and the quiet crackle of the candle.
"Your skin's warm," Greg said. "That's good. Means blood flow is improving."
Daniel didn't answer. He was sinking into the mattress, into the sensation, into something he didn't have words for.
Greg's hands moved lower, tracing the line of his spine, pressing into the muscles on either side. The touch was professional. Clinical. But it lingered. Just a second longer than necessary. Just a fraction of pressure more than required.
"You're doing great," Greg said. "Just let go."
Daniel let go. He stopped thinking about the rightness or wrongness of the situation. He stopped analyzing what it meant. He focused on the hands. On the warmth. On the way his body responded to being touched with care and attention.
Greg's hands reached his lower back. The towel Daniel had draped over himself shifted. He felt exposed. Vulnerable. And something else. Something that was building in his groin.
Don't react, he told himself. Don't think about it.
But his body wasn't listening. The blood was moving. The arousal was growing. He tried to shift his hips, to hide the evidence, but Greg's hands followed him.
"Turn over," Greg said.
"What?"
"Turn over. I need to do the front."
Daniel hesitated. He couldn't turn over. Not like this. Not with the obvious bulge in his shorts.
"I think we're good," he said. "That was enough."
"Front work is important. Releases chest tension, improves breathing." Greg's voice was patient, but there was an edge to it. A command. "Come on, Daniel. Don't be shy."
Daniel turned over. Slowly. Carefully. Keeping his hands near his waist, trying to cover himself.
Greg looked at him. At his face, at his chest, at the obvious evidence of arousal pressing against his shorts. His expression didn't change.
"It's normal," Greg said. "Massage stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system. Blood flow increases everywhere. Nothing to be embarrassed about."
"I'm not embarrassed."
"Good." Greg's hands settled on Daniel's chest, fingers spreading wide. "Then let's keep going."
The massage continued. Greg worked on his pectorals, his shoulders, his neck. His hands brushed against Daniel's nipples, once, twice, each time sending a jolt through his body. Daniel's breathing became shallow. His hips shifted involuntarily.
"You're really responsive," Greg said. "That's a good sign."
"A sign of what?"
"Nothing. Just an observation."
Greg's hands moved lower, tracing the line of Daniel's abdominal muscles. The touch was light, almost teasing. Daniel's stomach clenched. His cock twitched, demanding attention.
"I think we should stop," Daniel said.
"Why?"
"Because this isn't professional anymore."
"Who says?" Greg's fingers traced the waistband of his shorts. "I'm still working on your hip flexors. They connect to the psoas, which is a major tension holder."
"That's not what you're doing."
"It's exactly what I'm doing." Greg's eyes met his. "Unless you want me to do something else."
The room was silent except for the crackle of the candle and the sound of Daniel's breathing. He could feel Greg's hands on his hips, the warmth of his palms through the thin fabric. He could feel his own heart pounding, his own blood rushing, his own denial crumbling.
"I can't," he said.
"You can. You just don't want to admit that you want to."
"It's not that simple."
"It's exactly that simple. You're aroused. I can help you with that. Or I can stop. Your choice."
Daniel stared at the ceiling. He thought about Karina. About the way she had watched him. About the things she had said. About the permission she had given him without saying the words.
"Keep going," he heard himself say.
Greg's smile was slow and satisfied. His hands moved lower, hooking into the waistband of Daniel's shorts.
"Good boy," he said.
The shorts came down. Daniel's cock sprang free, hard and leaking against his stomach. Greg looked at it. Looked at him.
"See? Nothing to be ashamed of."
Daniel couldn't speak. He could only lie there, exposed and trembling, as Greg's hands closed around him.
The first touch was electric. Greg's grip was firm, confident, moving with practiced rhythm. Daniel's hips bucked into the sensation, chasing it, needing it.
"That's it," Greg murmured. "Let go. Let me take care of you."
Daniel let go. He stopped fighting. He stopped thinking. He surrendered to the feeling of Greg's hands on his body, the warmth, the pressure, the building pleasure that was coiling in his gut.
Greg's thumb swept over the head of Daniel's cock, spreading the slick precum that had gathered there. Daniel gasped, his hips lifting off the bed. The sensation was almost too much, too intense, too good.
"You're close already," Greg observed, his voice low and appreciative. "That's okay. I want to take you there."
His hand moved faster, twisting on the upstroke, squeezing gently at the base. Daniel's thighs tensed, his balls tightening. He could feel the orgasm building, a pressure that was growing with every stroke.
"Look at me," Greg said.
Daniel looked. Greg's eyes were dark, focused, full of something that made Daniel's breath catch.
"I want you to remember this," Greg said. "I want you to remember who made you feel this way."
His hand moved faster. Daniel's moans turned into gasps. His hands gripped the sheets. The pleasure was building, cresting, about to break.
"I'm going to come," he gasped.
"That's the idea."
Greg leaned down, his breath warm against Daniel's ear. "Come for me. I want to feel it."
The orgasm hit him like a wave, pulling him under. He cried out, his body arching off the bed, his release spilling over Greg's hand. The world went white. Everything disappeared except the sensation and the sound of his own ragged breathing.
When it was over, he collapsed onto the mattress, spent and shaking. Greg wiped his hand on a towel, then handed it to Daniel.
"Clean up," he said. "We've got the evening session in twenty minutes."
Daniel took the towel. He couldn't meet Greg's eyes. Couldn't process what had just happened.
"Hey." Greg's voice was gentle now. "It's okay. This is what you needed."
"Is it?"
"Yeah." Greg stood, stretching. "And it's only the beginning."
The evening session was a blur. Daniel sat through presentations, nodded at appropriate moments, laughed when others laughed. But his mind was elsewhere. On the massage table. On Greg's hands. On the way his body had responded without his permission.
Karina found him after the session, standing alone on the lodge's back deck, staring at the dark trees.
"Enjoying the retreat?" she asked, leaning against the railing beside him.
"It's fine."
"Just fine?" Her voice was light, teasing. "I heard you had a private coaching session with Greg."
Daniel's stomach clenched. "It was just a massage."
"Was it?" She turned to face him, her eyes bright in the moonlight. "I watched."
"Watched what?"
"The whole thing." She smiled. "The lodge has cameras in the rooms. For security purposes. I may have... checked the feed."
Daniel's blood ran cold. "You watched?"
"Every second." She stepped closer, her voice dropping to a whisper. "And I have to say, Daniel, I'm very impressed with your progress."
"This isn't a game, Karina."
"Of course it is. The best kind of game." She reached up, touching his cheek. "You were beautiful. The way you let go. The way you surrendered. I've never seen you look so free."
"I don't feel free. I feel confused."
"That's the old programming talking. The conditioning. Give it time." She kissed his cheek, soft and warm. "You're doing exactly what you need to do. And I'm so proud of you."
Daniel closed his eyes. He should have felt ashamed. He should have felt angry. Instead, he felt something else. Something that scared him more than anything.
He felt grateful.
"I have a request," Karina said. "For tomorrow."
"What?"
"I want you to do more. To go further. To let Greg touch you in ways you haven't let anyone touch you before."
"Karina..."
"You can say no. You always can. But I think you want this. I think you've wanted it for a long time, and you just needed permission." She squeezed his hand. "I'm giving you permission. All of it."
Daniel stared at the trees. The wind moved through them, whispering secrets he couldn't understand.
"Okay," he said.
"Okay?"
"Okay. I'll try."
Karina's smile was radiant. She kissed him again, harder this time, her tongue tracing his lower lip.
"Good boy," she said.
The words echoed Greg's. The same words. The same approval. The same power.
Daniel stood alone on the deck after she left, his body still tingling, his mind still spinning. He had crossed a line tonight. He knew that. And tomorrow, he would cross another.
The thought should have terrified him.
It didn't.
Crossing the Threshold
The wine glass sat heavy in Daniel's hand. He stared at the deep red liquid, watching it catch the lamplight from the living room. Three glasses in, and he still couldn't shake the tension coiled in his chest.
Karina had been insistent about this evening. A celebration, she'd called it. Greg's first big project milestone. Daniel's successful mentorship. Her own brilliant management. She'd listed the reasons with that knowing smile that had become her signature over the past few weeks.
"Relax," she said now, settling beside him on the couch. Her palm pressed against his thigh, heat seeping through the fabric of his slacks. "You've been wound up all day."
"I'm fine." The lie came automatically.
"You're not." She squeezed gently. "But you will be."
The doorbell rang before he could argue. Karina rose with a grace that still surprised him, her silk dress catching the light as she moved to answer it. Daniel heard Greg's voice, smooth and rich, and the sound sent an unfamiliar flutter through his stomach.
"Daniel, look who's here." Karina guided Greg into the living room, her hand resting on his lower back. The casual intimacy of the gesture made Daniel's throat tight.
Greg smiled at him, that easy confident smile that had been haunting Daniel's thoughts for weeks. He wore a simple button-down, sleeves rolled to his elbows, revealing tanned forearms. "Thanks for having me over. This is really nice of you both."
"Of course," Karina said. "You're practically family now."
She poured Greg a glass of wine, then topped off Daniel's. The conversation started easy enough. Work projects. Office gossip. The usual small talk that filled awkward spaces. But Daniel sensed the undercurrent, the way Karina's questions seemed designed to steer them toward intimacy.
"Tell me about your first crush," she said to Greg, leaning forward with genuine interest. "I love hearing those stories."
Greg laughed, shaking his head. "Oh god. That's embarrassing."
"Come on. We're among friends."
Daniel watched the exchange, his wine glass emptying faster than he intended. Greg's story came out, halting and self-deprecating. A high school teacher. The way the man's voice made him feel. The confusion and the eventual acceptance.
"That's beautiful," Karina said. "The way you embraced it."
"Took a while." Greg's eyes flicked to Daniel. "Some of us take longer than others."
The words hung in the air. Daniel sensed them settle on his skin like a touch.
"Some journeys need guidance," Karina added, refilling Daniel's glass. "There's no shame in that."
Daniel drank. The wine tasted sharp and sweet. The warmth spread through his chest, loosening the knots he'd been carrying. The room seemed softer now, the edges blurred.
"I should use the restroom," Greg said, rising. He brushed past Daniel, his fingers grazing Daniel's shoulder. The contact lasted only a second, but Daniel felt it burn through his shirt.
Karina watched him go, then turned to Daniel. "You're nervous."
"I'm not."
"You're. I can feel it." She moved closer, her voice dropping to a whisper. "It's okay. You're safe here. With me. With him."
"Karina, I don't know if I can..."
"You don't have to decide anything tonight." Her fingers traced his jawline, tilting his face toward hers. "But I want you to try. For me."
Greg returned, settling into the armchair across from them. The distance felt deliberate, like a chess piece positioned for the next move.
"More wine?" Karina offered.
They both accepted. The bottle emptied. Karina opened another. Daniel lost count of how many glasses he'd had. The room swam in amber light, and Greg's presence felt magnetic, pulling at something deep in Daniel's chest.
"You know," Greg said, his voice low, "I've really enjoyed working with you, Daniel. You're a good man."
"Thanks." The word came out rough.
"I mean it. You've been patient with me. Supportive." Greg leaned forward, elbows on his knees. "Not everyone would have been."
Karina's palm pressed against Daniel's again, squeezing encouragement. "He's full of surprises."
The conversation drifted, but Daniel couldn't follow it anymore. He was aware of the space between them, the charged air, the way Greg's eyes kept finding his. The wine made everything feel inevitable, like a current pulling him toward something he couldn't name.
Then Karina stood, stretching with a theatrical yawn. "I'm going to get some air. You two keep talking."
Daniel's heart lurched. "Karina..."
"I'll be right back." She kissed his forehead, her mouth lingering. "Be brave."
The door clicked shut behind her. Daniel and Greg sat in silence, the weight of the moment pressing down on them.
"She's something else," Greg said softly.
"Yeah."
"You're lucky."
Daniel didn't know how to answer that. He stared at his empty glass, wishing it were full again.
"Daniel." Greg's voice was closer now. Daniel looked up to find him standing, moving toward the couch. "Can I tell you something?"
"Sure."
"I've wanted to do this for weeks." Greg lowered himself onto the couch beside him, close enough that Daniel could smell his cologne. Something woodsy and clean. "But I needed you to be ready."
"Ready for what?"
Greg didn't answer with words. He reached out, his palm cupping Daniel's jaw with surprising gentleness. Daniel's breath caught. His body froze, every nerve ending screaming at him to run, to push away, to preserve the life he'd built.
But he didn't move.
Greg leaned in, slow enough that Daniel could have stopped him at any moment. Their lips met, and the world tilted.
The kiss was soft at first. Tentative. Greg's mouth was warm and tasted of wine. Daniel's mind raced, denial and desire colliding in his chest. This was wrong. This was everything he'd been taught to reject. Everything he'd told himself he could never want.
But his body didn't agree. His hand came up, not to push Greg away, but to grip his shoulder. To steady himself. To hold on.
Greg deepened the kiss, his tongue brushing against Daniel's lower lip. A question. A permission. Daniel opened for him, and the rush of sensation flooded through him like a dam breaking. Greg's tongue slid against his, slow and deliberate, tasting him. Daniel made a sound he didn't recognize, something between a groan and a sigh, and felt Greg smile against his mouth.
Greg's fingers slid into his hair, tilting his head back. The dominance in the gesture sent a shiver down Daniel's spine. He felt claimed. Wanted. The shame was there, buzzing in the back of his mind, but it was muted, distant, drowned by the heat spreading through his body. Greg's other hand settled on Daniel's hip, pulling him closer until their chests pressed together. Daniel could feel Greg's heartbeat, quick and strong, matching his own.
They broke apart, both breathing hard. Daniel's lips tingled. His heart hammered against his ribs.
"That was..." He couldn't finish the sentence.
"Good?" Greg's thumb traced his jawline.
"I don't know."
"You don't have to know yet." Greg kissed him again, quicker this time, a brief press of lips that promised more. "Just feel."
The door opened. Daniel's blood went cold. He pulled back, but Karina was already there, her eyes bright with something that looked almost like triumph.
"Don't stop on my account." She closed the door behind her, leaning against it. "That was beautiful."
"Karina, I..."
"Shh." She crossed to them, settling onto the couch on Daniel's other side. Her palm rested on his knee, squeezing. "I told you. There's nothing to be ashamed of."
"But you're my wife." The words felt hollow, meaningless against the evidence of what had just happened.
"And I'm so proud of you." She kissed his cheek, her mouth soft against his skin. "Do you know how long I've wanted to see this? To see you let go?"
Greg's hand returned to his shoulder, grounding him. Karina's fingers traced patterns on his thigh. Daniel sat between them, but the trap was velvet soft and smelled like desire.
"You taste like him now," Karina whispered. "I can smell it on your lips."
Daniel's breath hitched. The shame surged, but so did something else. Something darker. Something that wanted to be seen like this. Wanted to be wanted like this.
"I want you to kiss him again," Karina said. "But this time, I want to watch."
Daniel turned to Greg. The younger man's eyes were dark, pupils blown wide. He looked hungry, but patient. Waiting.
"You don't have to," Greg said. "But I'd like you to."
The choice hung in the air. Daniel could stop this. Could stand up. Could retreat to the safety of denial and pretend this had never happened.
But the wine was in his blood, and Greg's taste lingered on his tongue, and Karina's touch was steady on his thigh, and he was so tired of fighting.
He leaned in.
The second kiss was different. More urgent. Daniel's hand found the back of Greg's neck, pulling him closer. He felt Greg's smile against his lips, felt the approval radiating from Karina beside him. Greg's mouth opened against his, and Daniel pushed into it, tasting him deeper this time. Their tongues moved together, and Daniel's free hand gripped the fabric of Greg's shirt, bunching it in his fist. He could feel the muscle of Greg's chest beneath, the heat of his skin through the cotton.
"That's it," Karina breathed. "That's my husband."
Greg's palm slid down Daniel's chest, fingers splaying over his heart. "You're shaking."
"I know."
"It's okay." Greg kissed the corner of his mouth, then his jaw, then the soft skin below his ear. Daniel's head fell back, and Greg's lips traced a path down his throat. The stubble scraped against Daniel's skin, a rough contrast to the softness of his mouth. Daniel groaned, his hips shifting involuntarily.
Karina's lips found Daniel's ear. "How does it feel? Being wanted by both of us?"
The question pierced through the haze. Daniel pulled back, looking at his wife. Her eyes were fierce, possessive, loving. She wasn't jealous. She was aroused. He could see it in the way her pupils dilated, the way her breath came faster, the flush spreading down her neck.
"You really want this," he said. It wasn't a question.
"I've wanted this for so long." Her palm cupped his cheek, turning him to face her fully. "I want to share this with you. I want to watch you discover yourself. I want to be part of it."
"But what does that make us?"
"Stronger." She kissed him, her mouth soft against his. He could taste Greg on his own lips, and wondered if she could taste it too. "Different. But stronger."
Greg's hand was still on his chest, steady and grounding. Daniel sensed the weight of both of them, the pressure of their attention, their desire. It should have felt suffocating. Instead, it felt like being held.
"One more," Karina said. "For me."
Daniel turned to Greg. This time, he didn't hesitate. He kissed him hard, pouring all the confusion and desperate wanting into the press of his lips. Greg moaned against his mouth, and the sound sent a thrill through Daniel's body, straight to his groin. He was hard. He could feel the tightness in his slacks, and he knew Greg could feel it too, their bodies pressed close on the couch.
Greg's hand dropped from Daniel's chest to his hip, then lower, fingers brushing the edge of his waistband. Daniel inhaled sharply, breaking the kiss. Greg paused, waiting.
"Can I?" Greg asked, his voice rough.
Daniel looked at Karina. She nodded, her eyes bright.
"Yes," Daniel whispered.
Greg's fingers worked the button of his slacks, then the zipper. Daniel's breath came in short gasps as Greg's palm slid inside, pressing against the fabric of his underwear. The touch was electric, sending sparks up his spine. Daniel's head fell back against the couch, and Karina's mouth found his neck, kissing and biting gently while Greg stroked him through the thin cotton.
"You're so hard," Greg murmured against his jaw. "You have no idea how long I've wondered what this would be like."
Karina's hand joined Greg's, her fingers intertwining with his as they worked together. Daniel's hips lifted off the couch, seeking more pressure, more friction. He was making sounds he'd never heard himself make, desperate and needy and completely undone.
"That's it," Karina coaxed. "Let go. Let us take care of you."
Greg pulled Daniel's length free from the confines of his underwear, and Daniel gasped at the sensation of being exposed. Greg's fist wrapped around him, slick with precum, and began to stroke. Slow at first, then faster, his grip tightening. Daniel's hands gripped the couch cushions, knuckles white.
Karina kissed him, swallowing his moans. Her tongue tangled with his while Greg's hand worked him closer to the edge. The dual sensation was overwhelming, being kissed by his wife while another man touched him. It was wrong. It was filthy. It was the most incredible thing he'd ever experienced.
"I'm close," Daniel choked out against Karina's lips.
"I know," Greg said, his grip tightening. "I can feel you getting there. Come for us."
Karina's mouth found his ear again. "Come for us, baby. Show him how good he makes you feel."
Daniel's orgasm hit him like a wave, crashing through his body with an intensity that made his vision blur. He spilled over Greg's fist, hips jerking, a strangled cry escaping his throat. Greg stroked him through it, milking every last tremor, while Karina held him close, her lips pressed to his temple.
When it was over, Daniel sat there, chest heaving, unable to process what had just happened. Greg withdrew his hand, reaching for a tissue from the side table. The silence was thick, but not uncomfortable. It was the silence of something completed, something acknowledged.
"How do you feel?" Karina asked.
Daniel looked at her. Then at Greg. The world had shifted, tilted on its axis, and he was still spinning.
"I don't know," he admitted. "But I don't want it to stop."
Karina smiled, slow and wicked. "Good. Because we're just getting started."
She rose, pulling Daniel to his feet. Greg followed, his palm pressing against the small of Daniel's back. They moved together, a strange trinity, toward the bedroom.
Daniel paused at the threshold. This was the line. Once crossed, there was no going back. He would be different. Their marriage would be different. Everything he'd known would be different.
Karina turned, her hand on the doorframe. "You can say no. You can always say no."
Greg stood behind him, close enough that Daniel could sense the heat of his body. "No pressure. Only invitation."
Daniel took a breath. The wine swirled in his veins. The kisses lingered on his mouth. The desire burned in his chest.
He stepped forward.
The door closed behind them, and Daniel felt the last of his resistance crack, crumble, fall away. Whatever happened next, he was here. He was present. He was ready.
And for the first time in weeks, he wasn't afraid.
Deepening Submission
The morning light streamed through the bedroom curtains as Daniel woke to find Karina already dressed, sitting on the edge of the bed with a tablet in her hands. She smiled at him, that knowing smile that had become both thrilling and terrifying over the past weeks.
"Good morning, my explorer," she said softly. "We need to talk about how things are going to work from now on."
Daniel sat up, the sheets pooling around his waist. His mind was still hazy from the events of last night, the memory of Greg's lips on his, Karina's hands guiding them both. "What do you mean?"
"I mean we need to establish some ground rules. Expectations." She set the tablet aside and leaned forward. "You're going to be spending more time with Greg. I've arranged for you two to work on a major project together. Late nights, weekends maybe. And I want to make sure we're all clear on what happens."
Daniel's stomach tightened. "Karina, I don't know if I'm ready for..."
"You're ready," she interrupted gently but firmly. "I've seen how you respond to him. I've felt how hard you get when he touches you. Denying it won't help anyone."
He looked down at his hands. "What kind of rules?"
"Simple ones. You'll tell me everything that happens. No secrets. When you're with him, you're to follow my instructions. I'll text you what I want you to do, and you'll do it. If you feel uncomfortable, you tell me. But you don't stop unless I say so."
Daniel swallowed hard. "That sounds... intense."
"It is intense. That's what makes it exciting." She reached out and cupped his chin, forcing him to meet her eyes. "I'm not doing this to hurt you, Daniel. I'm doing this because I love watching you discover parts of yourself you never knew existed. And I love being the one who guides you there."
He felt fear tangled with arousal, the two sensations twisting together until he couldn't separate them. "And Greg? Does he know about these rules?"
"Greg knows his role. He's very good at following directions." She smiled. "Now get dressed. You have a meeting with him before long."
The drive to work was a blur. Daniel's mind kept replaying Karina's words, the way she had laid out the rules with such casual authority. He was supposed to be the husband, the provider, the one in control. But somehow, without even realizing it, he had handed over the reins to his wife.
Greg was waiting for him in the conference room, a laptop open in front of him. He looked up as Daniel entered and offered that easy smile that made Daniel's chest tighten.
"Morning, partner," Greg said. "Ready to dive into the quarterly report?"
Daniel nodded, taking a seat across from him. "Yeah, let's get started."
They worked for an hour, going over numbers and projections. But Daniel couldn't shake the awareness of Greg's presence, the way his hand moved across the keyboard, the slight scent of his cologne. Every time Greg leaned forward to point something out on the screen, Daniel felt his pulse quicken.
Late morning, his phone buzzed. A text from Karina.
*Touch his hand. Casually. Then look at me.*
Daniel froze. She was watching? He glanced around the room, but there were no obvious cameras. Still, he knew better than to doubt her.
"Everything okay?" Greg asked.
"Yeah, just... my wife checking in." Daniel took a breath, then reached across the table and placed his hand over Greg's. "This section looks good."
Greg's eyes widened slightly, then a slow smile spread across his face. "Thanks. I worked hard on it."
Daniel left his hand there for a moment longer than necessary, feeling the warmth of Greg's skin, the slight roughness of his knuckles. Then he pulled away, his heart hammering in his chest.
His phone buzzed again.
*Good boy. More tonight.*
That evening, Daniel came home to find Karina in the living room, the television on but muted. She was holding a tablet, scrolling through something.
"Come sit with me," she said without looking up.
Daniel settled onto the couch beside her. She handed him the tablet. On the screen was a paused video, two men in a bedroom.
"I want you to watch this," Karina said. "Really watch it. Pay attention to how they touch each other, how they respond. I want you to imagine yourself in their place."
Daniel's mouth went dry. "Karina, I don't know if I can..."
"You can. And you will." She pressed play.
The video started. Two men, both attractive, both clearly comfortable with each other. They kissed slowly, deeply, hands roaming over clothes. Daniel felt a flush creep up his neck as he watched. It was strange, seeing two men together like this. But it was also... intriguing.
"Look at how gentle he is," Karina murmured, her hand resting on Daniel's thigh. "See how he takes his time. That's what I want you to learn. Patience. Tenderness."
On the screen, one man was undressing the other, kissing down his chest, his stomach. Daniel's breathing quickened. He could feel himself getting hard, could feel Karina's hand moving higher on his leg.
"Does this excite you?" she asked.
"I don't know," Daniel whispered. "It's confusing."
"Confusing is good. Confusing means you're thinking about it. Let yourself feel it. Don't judge it."
The video continued. The men were naked now, one on top of the other, moving together in a rhythm that was both foreign and familiar. Daniel watched, transfixed, as they found their pleasure together.
When it ended, Karina paused the screen. "What did you think?"
"I think..." Daniel struggled to find words. "I think I understand why you like watching this."
She smiled. "Good. Now I want you to call Greg. Tell him you want to see him tomorrow night."
"Karina..."
"Trust me, Daniel. This is what you need."
The next evening, Daniel found himself standing outside Greg's apartment, a bottle of wine in his hand. His heart was racing, his palms sweaty. He almost turned around twice, but each time his phone buzzed with a message from Karina.
*Go inside. Be brave. I'm watching.*
Greg opened the door, looking relaxed in a t-shirt and jeans. "Hey, glad you made it."
"Yeah, me too." Daniel stepped inside, looking around the neat, modern apartment. "Nice place."
"Thanks. Make yourself comfortable." Greg took the wine and led him to the living room. "Karina said you wanted to talk about the project?"
"Something like that." Daniel sat on the couch, feeling awkward. "She, uh, she sent me some things to watch. Videos."
Greg's eyebrows rose. "Oh? What kind of videos?"
"Gay porn. She wanted me to see how two men... you know."
Greg nodded slowly. "And what did you think?"
Daniel took a deep breath. "I think I liked it more than I expected."
A smile spread across Greg's face. "That's good. That's really good." He sat down next to Daniel, close enough that their shoulders almost touched. "You know, there's nothing wrong with exploring. With finding out what you like."
"I know. It's just... it's hard to let go of the idea of who I thought I was."
"Change is hard. But it can also be amazing." Greg reached out and placed a hand on Daniel's knee. "Can I show you something?"
Daniel nodded, his throat tight.
Greg pulled out his phone and opened a video. Two men, similar to the one Karina had shown him, but this time they were more aggressive, more passionate. Greg watched Daniel's face as the video played.
"See how he grabs his hair?" Greg murmured. "How he pulls him closer? That's dominance. Some men like that. Some men like being taken, being controlled."
Daniel's breath caught as he watched. "I don't know which one I am."
"You don't have to know yet. You just have to be open." Greg's hand moved higher on Daniel's thigh. "Can I kiss you?"
Daniel hesitated. Then he thought of Karina watching, of her instructions, of the way she had looked at him with such hunger. "Yes."
Greg leaned in and pressed his lips to Daniel's. It was different from the first time, more deliberate, more practiced. Greg's tongue traced Daniel's lower lip, asking for entry, and Daniel opened for him.
The kiss deepened. Greg's hand moved from Daniel's thigh to his waist, pulling him closer. Daniel felt a surge of arousal, stronger than before, more urgent. He reached out and gripped Greg's shoulder, anchoring himself.
"You're doing great," Greg whispered against his lips. "Just let go."
Daniel's phone buzzed. He pulled away, breathless, and looked at the screen.
*Tell him you want him to fuck you.*
The words hit Daniel like a wave. His heart pounded, his hands trembled. He looked at Greg, who was watching him with patient eyes.
"She wants me to..." Daniel couldn't finish the sentence.
"I know what she wants." Greg's voice was soft. "But this is about what you want. Do you want that?"
Daniel closed his eyes. He thought about the past weeks, the slow erosion of his resistance, the growing hunger that he could no longer deny. He thought about Karina's excitement, her pleasure in watching him transform.
"I want to try," he said quietly.
Greg smiled. "Then let's take it slow. We have all night."
They moved to the bedroom, Greg's hand on Daniel's back, guiding him. The room was dim, the bed large and inviting. Greg undressed him slowly, kissing each piece of skin as it was revealed. Daniel shivered under the attention.
"Lie down," Greg said softly.
Daniel obeyed, his heart racing. Greg stripped off his own clothes and climbed onto the bed, positioning himself over Daniel. He kissed him again, deeper this time, his body pressing down. Daniel could feel the heat of Greg's skin against his own, the solid weight of him, the hardness pressing against his hip.
"Tell me what you want," Greg murmured.
"I want..." Daniel hesitated, then pushed through the fear. "I want you to take control. Like she said."
Greg's eyes darkened with approval. "Good boy."
Greg started with his mouth, trailing kisses down Daniel's neck, across his collarbone. His tongue found Daniel's nipple and circled it slowly, teasingly. Daniel gasped, his back arching off the bed. Greg took his time, alternating between gentle flicks and harder pulls, his hand sliding down Daniel's side.
"You're so responsive," Greg murmured against his skin. "I love that about you."
Daniel's hands found Greg's hair, gripping it as Greg moved lower. His tongue traced a line down Daniel's stomach, dipping into his navel, making him squirm. Then Greg's mouth was at his hip, his breath hot against Daniel's skin.
"I'm going to take care of you," Greg said. "Just relax."
Greg's hand wrapped around Daniel's cock, stroking slowly. Daniel moaned, his hips lifting off the bed. Greg watched his face as he worked, his grip firm but unhurried. He leaned down and took Daniel into his mouth, his tongue swirling around the head.
Daniel cried out, his fingers tightening in Greg's hair. The wet heat was overwhelming, the sensation of another man's mouth on him for the first time. Greg bobbed slowly, taking him deeper with each movement, his hand cupping Daniel's balls.
"Greg," Daniel gasped. "That's... God..."
Greg pulled off and smiled up at him. "We're just getting started."
He reached to the nightstand and pulled out a bottle of lube. Daniel watched, his breath coming in short pants, as Greg coated his fingers. Greg moved between Daniel's legs, pushing them apart gently.
"Breathe," Greg said. "I've got you."
Daniel felt the cool touch of Greg's slick finger against his entrance. He tensed, then forced himself to relax. Greg's finger circled slowly, gently, before pressing in just a little. Daniel hissed at the intrusion, strange and unfamiliar.
"That's it," Greg murmured. "Just relax. Let me in."
He worked slowly, patiently. One finger, then two, stretching Daniel carefully. Daniel's eyes were closed, his breathing ragged. There was discomfort, but underneath it, something else. A warmth that spread through him, a fullness that was unlike anything he had experienced before.
"Look at me," Greg said.
Daniel opened his eyes. Greg's face was above him, intent and focused. He added a third finger, and Daniel moaned, his body arching.
"You're ready," Greg said. It wasn't a question.
He positioned himself, the head of his cock pressing against Daniel's entrance. "Tell me you want this."
"I want this," Daniel whispered. "Please."
Greg pushed in slowly. Daniel gasped at the stretch, the fullness, the intensity of it. Greg paused, letting him adjust, his hands gentle on Daniel's hips.
"Okay?" Greg asked.
Daniel nodded, not trusting his voice. Greg pushed deeper, inch by inch, until he was fully inside. Daniel felt impossibly full, impossibly stretched. He could feel Greg's pulse inside him.
Greg started to move, slow and steady. Daniel's hands gripped the sheets, his eyes squeezed shut. The pain faded, replaced by a deep, building pleasure that radiated through his entire body. Greg's thrusts grew harder, faster, and Daniel found himself moving with him, his hips rising to meet each push.
"Good," Greg groaned. "You feel so good."
Daniel opened his eyes. Greg's face was flushed, his jaw tight with control. Daniel reached up and pulled him down, kissing him deeply. Greg's tongue pushed into his mouth, matching the rhythm of his hips.
Daniel's phone buzzed on the nightstand. He could see the screen out of the corner of his eye.
*How does it feel?*
He couldn't respond, not with Greg driving into him, not with the pleasure building to an unbearable peak. Greg's hand found Daniel's cock, stroking in time with his thrusts. Daniel cried out, his body tensing.
"Come for me," Greg said. "I want to feel you come."
Daniel shattered. His orgasm ripped through him, intense and overwhelming. He came across his own stomach, Greg's hand still stroking, Greg's cock still buried deep inside him. Greg followed moments later, his body going rigid, his release filling Daniel with warmth.
They lay together, breathing hard. Greg's weight on Daniel's chest felt grounding, real. Daniel's phone buzzed again.
*Let yourself enjoy it.*
Greg kissed his shoulder, his neck, his jaw. "You did amazing," he murmured. "Just amazing."
Daniel's phone buzzed once more.
*I'm so proud of you.*
When it was over, Daniel lay in Greg's arms, his body trembling with aftershocks. He felt raw, exposed, but also strangely free. The internal conflict that had been gnawing at him for weeks seemed to quiet, at least for now.
Greg kissed his forehead. "You did great."
Daniel's phone buzzed one last time.
*Come home. I want to hear every detail.*
He smiled weakly. "I have to go."
"I know." Greg squeezed his hand. "But you'll be back. They always come back."
As Daniel drove home, he felt a strange mix of emotions. Shame, yes, but also excitement. And underneath it all, a growing sense of acceptance. This was who he was now. This was what his marriage had become.
And for the first time, he wasn't sure he wanted to fight it.
Public Acknowledgment
The hotel ballroom glittered with crystal chandeliers and the soft hum of a hundred conversations. Daniel adjusted his tie for the third time, his fingers clumsy against the silk. The annual company gala was Karina's domain, a showcase of professional polish and carefully cultivated relationships. He usually faded into the background at these events, a supportive husband playing his part.
But tonight felt different.
Something had shifted inside him.
Karina stood across the room, her black dress clinging to her curves as she laughed at something a client said. She caught his eye and her smile shifted, just slightly. A private warmth that made his stomach flip.
"You look like you're about to face a firing squad."
Daniel turned. Greg stood beside him, holding two glasses of champagne. He wore a charcoal suit that fit him perfectly, his dark hair styled back, his smile easy and confident.
"Just not my favorite crowd," Daniel said, taking the glass.
"Liar." Greg clinked his glass against Daniel's. "You're nervous. That's cute."
Daniel's jaw tightened, but the warmth that rose in his cheeks wasn't anger. It was something else. Something he was learning to recognize.
"Where's your date tonight?" he asked, deflecting.
Greg shrugged. "Didn't bring one. Figured I'd keep you company."
The words hung in the air between them. Daniel took a long sip of champagne, the bubbles sharp on his tongue.
Karina appeared at his side, her hand sliding into the crook of his arm. "There you are. I've been looking for you."
"Just getting a drink."
Her eyes traveled to Greg, then back to Daniel. "I see. Greg, you're looking very handsome tonight."
"Thank you, Mrs. Shokley. You look stunning as always."
She smiled, but her fingers tightened on Daniel's arm. "Enjoy the party, Greg. Daniel, I need you to say hello to the Wellingtons."
He let her pull him away, but he felt Greg's gaze on his back the entire time. A warm, steady pressure.
The next hour passed in a blur of handshakes and small talk. Daniel smiled and nodded and said all the right things, but his mind was elsewhere. He kept scanning the room, looking for a flash of dark hair, a confident smile.
Karina noticed. She always noticed.
"You're distracted," she murmured as they walked past the dessert table.
"Just tired."
"Liar." She echoed Greg's word, but her voice was softer. "I saw you looking at him."
Daniel's face heated. "Karina, not here."
"Relax." She squeezed his hand. "I'm not angry. I think it's sweet."
He stared at her. "Sweet?"
"You're nervous. Excited. I remember what that felt like." She leaned closer, her lips brushing his ear. "I want you to enjoy yourself tonight. Let go. Trust me."
She pulled back and gave him a look that made his breath catch. A look that said she knew exactly what he was thinking. What he was feeling.
"Go," she said. "Mingle. I'll find you later."
She disappeared into the crowd, leaving him standing alone near the bar.
He finished his champagne and set the glass down. His pulse was quickening. The music shifted to a slower song, and the dance floor filled with couples.
"Dance with me."
Greg was there again, appearing like a ghost. His hand extended, palm up.
Daniel looked around. People were watching, but not at them. Everyone was absorbed in their own conversations.
"Here?"
"Why not?" Greg's smile was patient. "It's just a dance."
Daniel took his hand.
Greg led him to the edge of the dance floor, where the crowd was thinner. He placed one hand on Daniel's waist, the other still holding his hand. They swayed together, a careful distance between them.
"You're stiff," Greg said.
"I'm not a dancer."
"You're not relaxing." Greg pulled him closer, just an inch. "Breathe."
Daniel exhaled. The music washed over him, a slow jazz melody. Greg's hand was warm on his waist, his thumb tracing small circles through the fabric of his suit.
"Better," Greg murmured.
They moved together, the world fading. Daniel could smell Greg's cologne, something clean and spicy. He could feel the heat of his body, the solid weight of his hand.
His pulse raced.
"There's a balcony," Greg said, his voice low. "Off the east corridor. It's quiet."
Daniel's throat went dry. "Greg."
"Just to talk." Greg's eyes held his. "Unless you want something else."
Daniel's answer was a whisper. "I don't know what I want."
"That's okay." Greg's hand slid from his waist, trailing down his arm. "Let's find out."
He turned and walked away, weaving through the crowd. Daniel watched him go, his feet rooted to the floor.
Then he followed.
The east corridor was dimly lit, lined with potted plants and closed doors. Greg waited at the end, near a glass door that led to a small balcony. He pushed it open and stepped outside.
Daniel followed.
The night air was cool, a relief after the stuffy ballroom. The balcony overlooked the city, a sea of lights stretching to the horizon. The music from the party was muffled here, a distant hum.
Greg leaned against the railing, his back to the city. "See? Quiet."
Daniel stood a few feet away, his hands in his pockets. His chest was so tight he was sure Greg could hear it.
"What are we doing?" he asked.
"I don't know." Greg's voice was soft. "What do you want to do?"
Daniel looked at him. The moonlight caught his face, highlighting the sharp line of his jaw, the curve of his lips. He was beautiful. Daniel had known that for weeks, but admitting it now felt like a confession.
"I don't know," he said again.
Greg pushed off the railing and stepped closer. "Yes, you do."
He reached out and touched Daniel's face, his fingers cool against his skin. Daniel didn't pull away.
"Tell me," Greg said.
"I want..." Daniel's voice cracked. He swallowed. "I want to know what it feels like."
"What what feels like?"
"This." Daniel reached up and covered Greg's hand with his own. "You."
Greg smiled. A slow, warm smile that made Daniel's chest ache.
Then he leaned in and kissed him.
It was different from the first time. Softer, slower. Greg's lips moved against his with a patience that made Daniel's knees weak. One hand cupped his jaw, the other settled on his hip, pulling him closer.
Daniel's hands found Greg's shoulders, gripping the fabric of his jacket. He kissed back, his mouth opening, his tongue meeting Greg's. The taste of champagne and something sweet.
They broke apart, breathless.
"Is this okay?" Greg asked.
Daniel nodded. "Yeah. It's okay."
Greg kissed him again, deeper this time. His tongue traced the seam of Daniel's lips before sliding inside, claiming his mouth with a slow, deliberate hunger. Daniel moaned against him, his body pressing forward of its own accord.
Greg's hands moved to his belt. Daniel felt the brush of his knuckles against his stomach as he worked the buckle open. The leather slid free with a soft hiss.
Daniel's breath caught. "Greg, we're outside."
"It's dark. No one can see us." Greg's lips traced down his jaw, his throat, pausing to nip gently at the sensitive skin just below his ear. "Do you want me to stop?"
Daniel's hands tightened on his shoulders. The party was still going on inside. People were laughing, talking. Any one of them could walk out here at any moment.
The risk made his blood sing.
"No," he said. "Don't stop."
Greg pressed him back against the railing, the metal cool through his jacket. He unbuttoned Daniel's pants with practiced ease, his fingers finding the zipper and drawing it down slowly, torturously. The night air rushed against Daniel's skin, raising goosebumps along his thighs.
Greg slid his hand inside, palming him through the thin fabric of his underwear. Daniel sucked in a breath at the contact, his hips jerking forward. He was already hard, had been since the dance floor, and Greg's grip was firm and knowing.
"Feel that?" Greg murmured against his ear. "Feel what you do to me?"
Daniel could. The heat of Greg's palm, the deliberate squeeze and release. His head fell back, exposing the long line of his throat.
Greg took advantage, kissing and biting his way down Daniel's neck while his hand continued to work. He pushed the fabric aside and freed Daniel from his underwear, wrapping his fingers around the shaft. The first stroke was slow, almost clinical, a measured assessment. The second was firmer, more certain.
"You're shaking," Greg observed, his voice thick with satisfaction.
Daniel couldn't deny it. His thighs trembled, his breath coming in shallow gasps. Every nerve in his body felt exposed, raw, waiting.
Greg sank to his knees.
The sight of him there, looking up with those dark eyes, nearly undid Daniel. The city lights illuminated the sharp planes of his face, the curve of his mouth. He pressed a kiss to Daniel's hip bone, then another to the crease of his thigh.
"You sure?" Greg asked one more time.
Daniel nodded, his throat too tight for words.
Greg leaned forward and took him into his mouth.
The sensation was electric. Daniel's head fell back, his hand finding Greg's hair, gripping it. The wet heat surrounded him, Greg's tongue tracing the underside with deliberate precision. He swirled around the tip, then took him deeper, his throat relaxing as he swallowed Daniel's length.
Daniel had imagined this. Late at night, in the dark, when Karina was sleeping. He had wondered what it would feel like, what Greg would do. But his imagination had been a pale shadow of the reality.
Greg's hands gripped his hips, steadying him, anchoring him. His thumbs traced circles against Daniel's hipbones as his mouth worked, a rhythmic suction that made Daniel's vision blur.
He tried to stay quiet, but a low moan escaped his lips. Greg responded by taking him deeper, his nose pressing against Daniel's stomach. The muscles in his throat contracted around the head, and Daniel's grip on his hair tightened until his knuckles went white.
The sounds from the party drifted through the door. A burst of laughter. The clink of glasses. Someone calling out a name. They were so close to being discovered.
The fear and the pleasure tangled together, building, rising. Daniel's hips moved, a small, involuntary thrust. Greg let him, encouraged him, his hands sliding around to grip Daniel's ass and pull him closer. The rhythm built, Daniel's cock sliding between Greg's lips, slick and swollen.
"Greg," Daniel gasped, his voice breaking. "I'm going to..."
Greg didn't pull away. He doubled his efforts, his tongue working the sensitive underside while one hand wrapped around the base, stroking in counterpoint to his mouth. The other hand slipped lower, fingers pressing behind Daniel's balls, finding that spot that made his entire body jerk.
Daniel came with a choked cry, his hand fisted in Greg's hair, his body shuddering against the railing. The orgasm crashed through him in waves, his cock pulsing into Greg's mouth. Greg stayed with him through every tremor, swallowing, his throat working around Daniel's length. When the aftershocks finally subsided, Greg pulled back slowly, his tongue cleaning Daniel with lazy, deliberate strokes.
He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and stood up, his smile crooked.
"Not bad for a first time."
Daniel laughed, a shaky, disbelieving sound. "That was..."
"Good?"
"Incredible."
Greg kissed him, quick and light. Daniel tasted himself on Greg's lips, salty and strange. "Told you."
They straightened their clothes, Daniel's fingers trembling as he did up his belt. He felt light, almost giddy. The shame he expected didn't come.
Instead, he felt free.
They walked back inside, the noise of the party washing over them. Daniel's heart was still racing, but he held his head high. He caught his reflection in a mirror and barely recognized himself. His eyes were bright, his cheeks flushed.
He looked happy.
He found Karina near the bar, talking to a group of executives. She saw him approach and excused herself, gliding over to meet him.
"There you are." Her eyes swept over him, taking in his flushed face, his rumpled tie. "Did you have a good time?"
He knew she knew. He could see it in her eyes, the satisfied gleam.
"Yes," he said, and the word felt like a confession. "I did."
She smiled, a slow, private smile. "Good."
He looked at her, really looked at her. The woman who had hired Greg. Who had left them alone. Who had watched and guided and pushed him until he broke.
She had done this. All of it.
The realization should have made him angry. It should have made him feel used.
Instead, he felt grateful.
"You planned this," he said, his voice low. "From the beginning."
Karina's smile didn't waver. "I gave you permission. You did the rest."
He stared at her, this woman he had married, this woman he thought he knew. She was more than he had ever understood. Stronger. More knowing. Unafraid in ways he was only beginning to learn.
"Thank you," he whispered.
She reached up and straightened his tie, her fingers gentle. "You're welcome, my love. Now go mingle. You earned it."
She kissed his cheek and walked away, disappearing into the crowd.
Daniel stood alone in the middle of the ballroom, surrounded by people, but feeling more seen than he had in years. The music swelled, the laughter continued, and he felt a smile spread across his face.
He was no longer the man who had walked into this party.
He was someone new. Someone who knew what he wanted.
And for the first time, he wasn't afraid to want it.
New Identity Embraced
The morning light filtered through the bedroom curtains, casting golden stripes across the rumpled sheets. Daniel lay still, his arm wrapped around Karina's sleeping form, replaying the events of the company gala in his mind. The encounter with Greg in the supply closet. The way his body had responded without hesitation. The look of pure satisfaction on Karina's face when she found them.
He should feel shame. He knew that. But as he lay there, his wife's warmth pressed against him, all he felt was a strange, humming peace.
Karina stirred, her hand finding his chest. "You're awake," she murmured, her voice thick with sleep.
"I've been thinking."
She propped herself up on one elbow, her dark hair falling across her shoulder. "About last night?"
"About everything." Daniel met her eyes, searching for judgment and finding only anticipation. "I don't feel guilty anymore. Is that wrong?"
Karina's lips curved into that knowing smile he had come to recognize. "It's not wrong, Daniel. It's progress." She traced a pattern on his chest with her fingertip. "You've been fighting this for weeks. Denying what your body already knew. But last night, you stopped fighting."
"I stopped thinking," he corrected.
"That's the same thing." She leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. "And it was beautiful to watch."
He pulled her closer, feeling the familiar comfort of her body against his. "You really wanted this. From the beginning."
"From the moment I saw how you looked at Greg at that first team meeting. The way your eyes lingered." She laughed softly. "You didn't even know you were doing it. But I saw."
Daniel closed his eyes, letting the truth settle into his bones. "I didn't know either. I thought I was just being friendly."
"You were being attracted. There's a difference." Karina shifted, straddling his hips, her nightgown riding up her thighs. "But that's not what I want to talk about this morning."
"What do you want to talk about?"
"I want to talk about tonight." She leaned forward, her breasts pressing against his chest, her mouth close to his ear. "I want to see you fully embrace this, Daniel. No more hesitation. No more denial. I want to watch you take what you want."
His breath caught. "You mean with Greg?"
"I mean with Greg, with me, with whoever you desire." She pulled back, her eyes intense. "But tonight, I want it to be about you. Your pleasure. Your surrender."
Daniel's hands found her hips, gripping the thin fabric of her nightgown. "What do I need to do?"
"Nothing. Everything." She smiled, sliding off him and reaching for her phone. "I've already texted Greg. He'll be here this evening. And I've set up the bedroom just the way I want it."
He followed her gaze to the corner of the room, where a high-backed armchair had been positioned facing the bed. A bottle of wine and two glasses sat on the nightstand. The sheets had been changed to dark silk.
"You planned this."
"I always plan." She kissed him once more, then slipped out of bed. "Now shower. Shave. I want you clean and ready when he arrives."
The day passed in a haze of anticipation. Daniel went through the motions of work, his mind constantly drifting to the evening ahead. He caught himself checking the clock repeatedly, counting down the hours until nightfall.
When he finally stood in the bathroom, razor in hand, he studied his reflection. The same face. The same body. But something had shifted behind his eyes. A new confidence. A new hunger.
He remembered the first time Greg had kissed him, the way his body had melted into the embrace despite his mind screaming warnings. The image of Karina watching, her hand between her thighs, her eyes dark with arousal, burned into his memory. Then the supply closet, the taste of Greg's skin, the sound of his own moans echoing in that cramped space.
No more denial.
He finished shaving, dressed in loose sweatpants and nothing else, and walked into the bedroom. Karina was already there, perched in the armchair, wearing a silk robe that fell open at the slightest movement. A glass of wine dangled from her fingers.
"You look nervous," she observed.
"I'm not nervous." Daniel sat on the edge of the bed, facing her. "I'm ready."
"Good." She took a sip of wine. "Because I want you to show me how ready you are. When Greg gets here, I want you to take the lead. I want to see you touch him, kiss him, claim him. I want to hear you tell him what you want."
Daniel's pulse quickened. "And what if I don't know what I want?"
"You know." Her voice was soft but firm. "You've always known. You just needed permission to admit it."
The doorbell rang.
Daniel's heart slammed against his ribs. He looked at Karina, who nodded once, her expression encouraging.
"Go let him in."
He walked to the door, his bare feet silent on the hardwood. When he opened it, Greg stood there, dressed casually in jeans and a fitted t-shirt. His smile was warm, familiar.
"Hey, Daniel."
"Hey." Daniel stepped aside, gesturing for him to enter. "Come in."
Greg walked past him, his shoulder brushing Daniel's chest. The contact sent a spark through Daniel's body, electric and immediate.
"She's in the bedroom," Daniel said, closing the door.
"I know." Greg turned, his eyes traveling over Daniel's bare torso. "She told me what she wants tonight."
"She told me too."
"And?" Greg stepped closer, his hand coming up to rest on Daniel's hip. "Are you okay with it?"
Daniel didn't hesitate. He leaned in, capturing Greg's lips in a kiss that was firm, confident, demanding. Greg responded immediately, his mouth opening, his tongue sliding against Daniel's. The kiss deepened, Daniel's hand coming up to grip the back of Greg's neck, pulling him closer. Greg's stubble scraped against Daniel's chin, a rough contrast to the softness of his lips.
When they broke apart, both breathing hard, Daniel smiled.
"I'm more than okay."
They walked to the bedroom together, Greg's hand resting in the small of Daniel's back. Karina watched them enter, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction.
"There you are," she purred. "I was starting to think you'd changed your mind."
"Not a chance." Daniel guided Greg to the bed, positioning him so he was facing Karina. "I know what you want to see."
"Then show me."
Daniel turned to Greg, his hands finding the hem of Greg's shirt. He pulled it up slowly, revealing smooth, toned skin inch by inch. Greg raised his arms, letting Daniel remove the garment completely. Daniel tossed it aside, his eyes drinking in the sight of Greg's chest, the definition of his muscles, the light dusting of hair trailing down his stomach.
"Lie down," Daniel instructed, his voice low.
Greg complied, stretching out on the silk sheets, his dark eyes fixed on Daniel. Daniel climbed onto the bed, straddling Greg's hips, his sweatpants doing nothing to hide his arousal. He could feel Greg's hardness beneath him, pressing against his own.
He looked at Karina. She had leaned forward in her chair, her robe falling open, her breasts exposed. Her hand was between her thighs, moving slowly.
"Don't stop watching," Daniel said.
"I wouldn't dream of it."
Daniel turned his attention back to Greg. He leaned down, pressing a kiss to Greg's chest, then another, working his way down. Greg's skin was warm, tasted faintly of salt and something else, something uniquely Greg. Daniel took his time, exploring every inch, his hands following his mouth, tracing the lines of Greg's ribs, the flat plane of his stomach.
Greg's breath hitched as Daniel's tongue circled his navel. "Daniel..."
"Tell me what you want," Daniel murmured against his skin.
"You know what I want."
"I want to hear you say it."
Greg's fingers threaded through Daniel's hair. "I want your mouth on me. I want to feel you take me deep."
Daniel's cock twitched at the words, at the raw need in Greg's voice. He continued his descent, pressing kisses along Greg's hip bone, breathing in the musky scent of his arousal. When he reached Greg's jeans, he paused, looking up.
"May I?"
Greg laughed breathlessly. "You don't have to ask."
Daniel unfastened the jeans, pulling them down along with Greg's boxers. Greg's cock sprang free, already hard, the tip glistening with precum. Daniel stared at it, his mouth watering. The sight of it, the smell of it, made his own cock ache.
This was the moment. The point of no return.
He looked at Karina one more time. She was watching, her hand moving faster, her lips parted, her breathing ragged. She nodded.
Daniel lowered his head and took Greg into his mouth.
The taste was unfamiliar but not unpleasant. Salty. Musky. Male. Daniel focused on the sensation, the weight of Greg's cock on his tongue, the smoothness of the skin, the heat radiating from it. He swirled his tongue around the head, tasting the precum, savoring it. Greg groaned, his hips lifting slightly, pushing deeper.
Daniel bobbed his head, finding a rhythm, using his hand to stroke the base while his mouth worked the upper half. He experimented with different pressures, different angles, learning what made Greg gasp, what made him grip the sheets, what made him whisper Daniel's name like a prayer.
"Fuck, Daniel," Greg groaned. "That's incredible. Your mouth feels so good."
The praise spurred Daniel on. He took Greg deeper, feeling him hit the back of his throat. He relaxed his jaw, breathing through his nose, taking more of Greg's length. He didn't gag. He didn't pull away. He accepted it, welcomed it, wanted more.
"Look at you," Karina whispered. "Look at my husband, so eager, so hungry. You were made for this, Daniel. Made to worship cock."
Her words sent a shiver through Daniel's body. He pulled off, gasping for air, a string of saliva connecting his lips to Greg's cock. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, then looked at Greg with hooded eyes.
"I want to feel you," he said, his voice rough. "I want you inside me."
Greg's eyes widened. "Are you sure?"
"I've never been more sure of anything."
Karina rose from her chair, her robe falling away completely. She walked to the nightstand, retrieving a bottle of lube and a condom. She handed them to Daniel, her fingers brushing against his.
"I want to watch you prepare yourself," she said. "I want to see you open yourself for him."
Daniel took the items, his hands trembling slightly. He positioned himself on his hands and knees, facing Karina, his back to Greg. He squeezed lube onto his fingers, reached behind himself, and began to stretch.
The sensation was strange, invasive, but not painful. He had done this before, alone in the shower, fantasizing about moments exactly like this. But never with an audience. Never with his wife watching, her eyes burning with arousal, her hand moving between her own thighs.
"More," Karina commanded. "I want to see you take three fingers."
Daniel complied, adding another finger, pushing deeper. He gasped as his fingers brushed that spot inside him, sending a jolt of pleasure through his body. His cock twitched, leaking onto the silk sheets.
"There," Karina said. "Right there. That's where you want Greg. That's where he's going to fill you."
Daniel pulled his fingers out, turned to face Greg, and handed him the condom. "Put it on."
Greg tore the wrapper, rolled the condom onto his erection, and coated it with lube. Daniel positioned himself, lowering onto Greg's cock with agonizing slowness. The head pressed against his entrance, and Daniel took a deep breath, relaxing, opening himself up.
The first push was intense. The stretching, the fullness, the slight burn that melted into pleasure as Daniel's body adjusted. He let out a long, shuddering breath as Greg's hips met his ass, as he felt Greg completely inside him, filling him in a way he had never been filled before.
"Okay?" Greg asked, his hands gripping Daniel's hips, his thumbs stroking small circles on Daniel's skin.
"More than okay." Daniel began to move, finding a rhythm, riding Greg with increasing confidence. He lifted himself up, then sank back down, feeling every inch of Greg's cock slide in and out of him. "Fuck, yes. You feel so good inside me."
Greg thrust upward, meeting Daniel's movements, finding that spot inside him that made stars burst behind Daniel's eyes. Daniel cried out, his head falling back, his hands bracing on Greg's chest.
"Right there," Daniel gasped. "Don't stop. Keep hitting that spot."
Karina moved closer, kneeling beside them, her hand reaching out to stroke Daniel's face. "You're beautiful like this. So open. So accepting. So hungry for it."
Daniel turned his head, capturing her mouth in a kiss. She tasted like wine and desire. Her tongue slid against his, her hand tangling in his hair. He broke away, gasping as Greg thrust deeper, harder.
"I love you," Daniel said, the words tumbling out. "I love you for giving me this."
"I love you for taking it." Karina's hand slid down his chest, wrapping around his cock, stroking in time with Greg's thrusts. "For trusting me. For letting go."
Daniel's orgasm built, a pressure in his gut, a heat spreading through his limbs. He didn't fight it. He didn't hold back. He surrendered completely, letting the pleasure wash over him in waves.
"Come for me," Karina whispered. "Come for us."
Daniel cried out, his body convulsing, his release spilling over Karina's hand and onto Greg's chest. Behind him, Greg groaned, his hips stuttering, his own climax following. Daniel felt Greg pulse inside him, the warmth of his release filling the condom, and the sensation pushed Daniel's orgasm even further, prolonging the pleasure until he thought he might black out.
They collapsed together, a tangle of limbs and sweat and satisfaction. Karina lay beside them, her hand still resting on Daniel's chest, feeling his heart race beneath her palm.
For a long moment, no one spoke. The only sounds were their ragged breathing and the rustle of silk sheets.
Finally, Greg laughed softly. "Well. That was something."
"It was everything," Daniel corrected.
Karina propped herself up on her elbow, looking down at him. "How do you feel?"
Daniel considered the question. He felt raw. Exposed. But also complete in a way he had never experienced.
"I feel like myself," he said. "For the first time, I feel like I know who I am."
"And who is that?"
Daniel reached out, pulling Karina close, his other hand finding Greg's. "I'm your husband. I'm a man who desires men. I'm someone who trusts his wife enough to let her guide him into the unknown." He smiled, tears pricking at the corners of his eyes. "I'm bisexual. And I'm finally okay with that."
Karina kissed him, soft and tender. "I knew you would get there. I just had to help you see it."
"Thank you." Daniel's voice cracked. "For not giving up on me. For pushing me."
"I'll always push you." She glanced at Greg. "Both of us will."
Greg squeezed Daniel's hand. "Whatever you need, man. I'm here."
Daniel lay back, staring at the ceiling, his body humming with afterglow. The old shame was gone, replaced by a quiet, steady acceptance. He was changed. Transformed. Reborn.
And he had never felt more alive.
