The First Whisper

Cathy stepped out into the late afternoon sun, her bare feet sinking into the warm grass of the backyard. The marketing reports still sat open on her laptop inside, but the tightness in her shoulders had driven her out for a few minutes of quiet. She moved toward the wooden fence that separated their property from the neighbor's, drawn by the faint sound of voices drifting over the boards. Chelsie Oxana's place always seemed to hum with some kind of session or another; the woman ran her wellness practice from home, and the soft cadence of her speech carried easily on the breeze.

Cathy paused near the fence, one hand resting against the rough wood. She had no intention of eavesdropping, yet something in the low, melodic tone pulled at her. Chelsie's voice flowed like warm honey, measured and unhurried. "That's it, Stephen. Let your shoulders drop. Feel the weight leaving your body with every breath."

Cathy's brow furrowed. Stephen? Her husband was supposed to be at the office until later. Curiosity edged closer than caution, and she leaned in, pressing her ear lightly to a gap between the planks. Through the narrow opening she caught a glimpse of the neighbor's patio. Stephen sat in one of Chelsie's cushioned chairs, his posture unusually still. His eyes were half-closed, his hands resting palms-up on his thighs. The usual easy smile he wore had softened into something distant, almost absent.

"Good," Chelsie continued, her voice wrapping around each word. "Your mind is open now. Every suggestion settles deep, exactly where it belongs. You feel calm. Safe. Ready to listen."

Cathy watched as Stephen's chest rose and fell in perfect rhythm with Chelsie's instructions. His head tilted slightly, as though the sound itself guided him. A strange flutter moved through Cathy's stomach. She had never seen him like this, so completely still, so visibly yielding. The sight should have felt intrusive, yet heat crept up the back of her neck instead.

She fumbled for her phone, fingers moving before she could second-guess the impulse. The voice recorder app opened with a soft tap. She held the device near the gap, the red dot glowing as it captured Chelsie's next words. "Imagine a door in your mind. You open it willingly. Whatever waits on the other side feels right because you choose it."

Stephen murmured something low, the sound too soft for Cathy to catch, but the compliance in it was unmistakable. His body seemed to sink deeper into the chair. Cathy's pulse quickened. This was not simple relaxation; the way his features smoothed, the way tension visibly left his frame, spoke of something far more potent. She kept recording, the small device steady in her hand while her thoughts raced between confusion and an unexpected throb low in her belly.

Chelsie's voice shifted, still gentle but laced with quiet authority. "When you hear my words later, that same calm returns. You follow without question because it feels natural. It feels good." Stephen nodded once, slow and automatic. Cathy's breath caught. She pressed the phone closer, making sure every syllable was caught on the recording. The fence boards warmed under her palm as the minutes stretched.

Eventually the session wound down. Chelsie's tone lightened into ordinary conversation, and Stephen blinked, his shoulders rolling as if waking from a long nap. Cathy pulled back, heart hammering. She stopped the recording and slipped the phone into her pocket, the file sitting there like a secret she had already claimed. She turned toward the house, moving quickly before either of them might notice her.

Inside, the quiet felt heavier. Cathy closed the back door and leaned against it, staring at the blank screen of her phone. The rational part of her insisted she delete the file at once. Yet her thumb hovered, then tapped play. Chelsie's voice filled the kitchen, softer now through the tiny speaker but no less compelling. Cathy carried the phone upstairs, each step measured.

She reached the bedroom and closed the door behind her, the click of the latch loud in the stillness. The afternoon light slanted across the bed. Cathy sat on the edge, phone in her lap, and let the recording continue. Stephen's faint responses threaded through Chelsie's instructions. The memory of his trance-like expression replayed behind her eyes, and the earlier flutter in her stomach deepened into something warmer, more insistent.

She lay back, auburn hair spreading across the pillow. One hand rested on her stomach while the other held the phone near her ear. Chelsie's words washed over her again. "You open the door. You let the suggestion settle." Cathy's breath slowed without her deciding to make it so. The professional blouse she still wore felt suddenly tight across her chest. Her fingers traced the top button, then slipped lower, brushing the waistband of her skirt.

Confusion still lingered at the edges of her mind. This was her husband she had recorded, her neighbor's voice guiding him into that state of perfect surrender. She should feel only concern, perhaps even anger. Instead, a slow pulse of heat gathered between her thighs. Cathy pressed her legs together, testing the sensation. It grew stronger when she replayed the part where Stephen had murmured his agreement, his voice thick with compliance.

She slid her hand beneath the skirt, fingertips meeting the thin fabric of her panties. The material was already damp. A soft sound escaped her throat, half surprise and half something darker. She closed her eyes and let Chelsie's recorded voice continue its steady flow while her fingers moved in small, careful circles. Each pass over the sensitive spot drew another wave of warmth upward through her body.

Images flickered behind her eyelids. Stephen in that chair, eyes unfocused, body open to every word Chelsie offered. The thought should have unsettled her. Instead it sharpened the ache building inside her. Cathy's hips lifted slightly, chasing the friction of her own touch. Her free hand gripped the sheets, knuckles pale. The recording looped the final suggestions, Chelsie's tone dropping into that velvet register that seemed to promise obedience would feel like pleasure.

Cathy's breathing fractured. She pressed harder, rhythm quickening as the memory of Stephen's nod replayed. The first tremor rolled through her, then another, until her thighs trembled and a low moan broke free. The orgasm crested slow and deep, leaving her pulse racing and her skin flushed. She kept the phone close, Chelsie's voice still murmuring as the aftershocks faded.

When the recording ended, silence settled over the room. Cathy opened her eyes and stared at the ceiling, the weight of what she had just done settling alongside the lingering heat. She had crossed a line, yet the confusion that should have followed felt distant, almost secondary to the quiet thrum still echoing in her body. She saved the file under a plain name and set the phone aside, already wondering when the next session might drift across the fence.
