The Warming Crown
The Winter Palace throne room stretched before Catherine like a gilded cage. Morning light slanted through tall windows, catching on the gold leaf that covered every surface and turning the air heavy with the scent of beeswax polish and distant incense. The marble floor gleamed, cold and unforgiving, its pale veins running like frozen rivers beneath her slippered feet. She sat on the throne in full regalia, the crown pressing down on her pinned dark hair, its weight a constant reminder of the empire she had seized. Her heavy breasts rose and fell beneath the stiff brocade of her gown, and she shifted, feeling the traitorous warmth already gathering between her thighs.
She told herself it was nothing. A political necessity. Potemkin was her advisor, her lover, the man whose military genius kept her crown secure while her husband remained a hollow figurehead. Yet the heat persisted, low and insistent, a reminder that her body no longer answered solely to her iron will.
The double doors at the far end creaked open. Grigory Potemkin entered without announcement, his massive frame filling the space. Battle scars marked his thick arms where his sleeves were rolled, and his coarse beard shadowed a jaw set in absolute certainty. He moved with the unhurried stride of a man who owned every room he entered, dark eyes locking on her at once. The courtiers present, a handful of minor officials and guards, stiffened but did not dare speak.
“Out,” Potemkin said, his voice a low growl that carried to every corner. “All of you. The Empress and I require the chamber.”
Feet shuffled. No one questioned him. They filed past, the doors swinging shut behind the last man, yet Potemkin left them ajar by several inches. A sliver of corridor remained visible, the faint murmur of the palace beyond drifting through. Catherine’s pulse quickened at the deliberate gap.
“Grigory,” she began, her voice steady with practiced authority, “this is not the time. State matters require attention, and I will not be interrupted again.”
He crossed the marble in three strides and stopped at the base of the throne. “You will stand, Catherine.”
She remained seated, chin lifted. “I am Empress. You do not command me here.”
His hand closed around her wrist, not painfully but with unyielding strength. “Stand.”
The single word cracked through her resolve. Heat flooded her core, traitorous and slick, soaking the fine linen beneath her skirts. She rose, the crown shifting slightly on her head, and felt the cool air brush her flushed skin as he turned her to face the throne itself.
“Bend,” he ordered, pressing between her shoulder blades. “Hands on the seat. Legs apart.”
Resistance flared, then dissolved into the familiar ache. She bent forward, palms flat on the velvet cushion, the position forcing her hips back. The marble chilled her knees through the fabric as he lifted her heavy skirts, bunching them at her waist. Cool air kissed her bare thighs and the wet heat already glistening between them.
“Already dripping,” Potemkin murmured, thick fingers dragging through her folds. “The mighty Empress, wet for her brute before the first thrust.”
She bit back a moan, fingers curling against the throne. “The doors…”
“Ajar. Let them hear if they wish. Let them see what keeps their empire standing.”
His cock, enormous and veined, pressed against her entrance. He did not ease inside. One powerful thrust buried him to the hilt, stretching her walls with brutal fullness. Catherine gasped, the sound echoing off marble and gold. He withdrew almost completely before driving in again, each stroke deliberate, the wet slap of flesh against flesh growing louder.
Her breasts swayed heavily with every impact. The crown tilted, threatening to fall, yet she clutched the throne and pushed back to meet him. Shame burned hot in her chest, warring with the clenching pleasure that coiled tighter with each thrust. She could feel herself dripping down her thighs, the evidence of her submission glistening on the pale stone.
“Louder,” he growled, one hand fisting her pinned hair beneath the crown. “Let the court know their Empress takes her real ruler between her legs.”
She obeyed, a broken whimper escaping as he angled deeper. The marble beneath her knees grew slick from her arousal. His pace quickened, hips snapping hard enough to jolt her forward. The thick ridge of his cock dragged against the spot inside her that made stars burst behind her eyes.
Climax crashed through her without warning. Her walls fluttered and clenched around him, wetness flooding anew. Potemkin snarled and buried himself to the root, pulsing thick ropes of seed deep inside. When he withdrew, the pearly flood spilled visibly from her stretched cunt, trailing down her inner thighs to spatter the marble in obscene white streaks.
Footsteps approached in the corridor. Count Orlov’s voice, hesitant yet carrying, drifted through the ajar doors. “Your Majesty? Urgent news from the southern regiments. I was told the chamber was occupied, but…”
Potemkin did not move to cover her. He remained behind her, one broad hand resting possessively on the small of her back, his spend still leaking from her body in full view of the sliver of hallway.
Catherine’s breath came ragged. The crown sat askew. The traitorous heat between her thighs pulsed once more, already craving the next claim even as the courtier’s shadow lengthened across the threshold.
