The Arrival

Leoncio pushed open the apartment door with his shoulder, the weight of his messenger bag digging into his side after a long day at the office. The familiar scent of vanilla candles hit him first, mixed with something sharper like citrus cleaner. Dorothy stood in the living room, her long wavy auburn hair pulled back in a loose ponytail as she rearranged the throw pillows on the couch for the third time that week. She looked up with that mischievous smile, her sharp green eyes lighting up when she saw him.

"You're home early," she said, crossing the room to press a quick kiss to his cheek. Her toned body brushed against his, full breasts pressing lightly into his chest before she pulled back. "Sean's flight lands in an hour. I want everything perfect for him."

Leoncio set his bag down and shrugged off his jacket. "You seem excited. It's just your brother staying for a bit, right?" He tried to keep his tone light, but the thought of sharing their space with Dorothy's twin already stirred something uneasy in his gut. He loved her, devoted as ever, but the idea of another person in their routine made him feel off balance.

Dorothy laughed softly, that affectionate yet controlling edge creeping into her voice. "Not just any brother. Sean's going to love it here. I've been texting him all day about how cozy our place is." She lingered with her hand on his arm, fingers tracing a slow circle that sent a small spark through him. "You two are going to get along great. I can feel it."

He nodded, forcing a smile. "Sure. Whatever makes you happy." Inside, though, he wondered why her excitement felt so pointed. Dorothy had always been sexually adventurous, pushing his boundaries in their bedroom with teasing suggestions, but this felt different. More orchestrated.

They spent the next hour tidying up together. Leoncio vacuumed while Dorothy fussed over the guest room, her voice carrying through the apartment as she hummed. When the doorbell rang, his stomach tightened. Dorothy practically skipped to the door, swinging it open with a bright greeting.

Sean stood there, suitcase in hand, and Leoncio's breath caught. The resemblance was uncanny. Same auburn hair, though Sean's was cut shorter and styled with casual confidence. Same piercing green eyes that seemed to take everything in at once. The lean-muscular build under his fitted shirt mirrored Dorothy's toned curves in a way that made Leoncio's skin prickle with discomfort. It was like looking at a male version of his girlfriend, and that thought unsettled him more than he wanted to admit.

"Dorothy," Sean said, pulling her into a tight hug. They laughed over some inside joke about their childhood, voices overlapping in that easy twin rhythm. Leoncio hung back, watching as they bonded instantly, their shared energy filling the room and leaving him on the outside.

"Leoncio, this is Sean," Dorothy said, turning with her arm still around her brother's shoulders. "Sean, my boyfriend. Be nice to him."

Sean extended a hand, his grip firm and warm. "Heard a lot about you. Thanks for letting me crash here." His smile was disarming, charming in the same way Dorothy's was, but with an added layer of knowing that made Leoncio shift his weight.

"No problem," Leoncio replied, his voice coming out steadier than he felt. They moved to the kitchen for drinks, Dorothy pouring wine while the twins continued their rapid-fire jokes. Leoncio sipped his beer, trying to join in but feeling the competitive edge creep up. Sean's stories about his travels and open life made Leoncio's stable desk job and vanilla routines seem small by comparison. Insecurity twisted in his chest. Was he enough for Dorothy next to this charismatic guy who looked so much like her?

Dorothy suggested they move to the living room for more drinks, her hand brushing Leoncio's thigh as she sat beside him on the couch. "Guys' night soon," she said with a playful wink. "You two need to bond. Maybe some wrestling or something fun. Sean's always up for that." Her fingers lingered a moment too long, sending heat through his jeans, and Leoncio glanced at Sean, catching the way the other man's eyes mirrored his sister's, steady and assessing.

The conversation flowed with more wine. Leoncio felt the alcohol loosen his defenses a little, but the tension built in small ways. Sean's posture mirrored Dorothy's exactly, the way he leaned forward when speaking, the tilt of his head. Their gazes met across the room more than once, and Leoncio looked away first, his boyish face flushing. He told himself it was nothing, just the weirdness of twins.

After the second round, Dorothy excused herself to the kitchen for snacks. Sean grinned, standing up. "Come on, let's see what you've got. Playful match before she gets back?" He stepped closer, and before Leoncio could protest, they were grappling lightly on the rug. Sean's lean muscles flexed with easy strength, pinning Leoncio down in seconds. Their bodies pressed close, breaths mixing, and Leoncio's heart pounded for reasons he didn't want to name. The weight of Sean on top of him felt too intimate, too mirroring of Dorothy's curves in some twisted way.

"Pinned," Sean said with a calm, commanding chuckle, his green eyes locked on Leoncio's. "You're stronger than you look, though." He held the position a beat longer than necessary before rolling off, leaving Leoncio flushed and breathless on the floor.

From the kitchen, Dorothy's voice called out something teasing, but Leoncio barely heard it. As he sat up, he caught the low murmur of whispers between them, conspiratorial and close, Dorothy leaning into Sean with that gleaming look in her eyes. Leoncio strained to listen, catching fragments that made his stomach flip.

"...he'll come around... just like we planned..."

The words hung in the air as Sean glanced back at him with a knowing smile, and Leoncio's mind raced with sudden doubt. What exactly had Dorothy set in motion?
