Guest Episode

Emmy Russell adjusted the microphone one last time and checked the levels on her laptop. The studio smelled faintly of fresh coffee and the lavender candle she always lit before recording. She smoothed her blouse over her hips and sat back in the chair, crossing her legs at the ankle. Professional excitement hummed through her. This episode could pull in a new audience segment. Hypnosis for relationships was trending, and Keri Elordi had the kind of credentials that made listeners lean in.

She glanced at the clock. Ten minutes until the guest was due. Emmy opened her notes app and reviewed the questions she had prepared. Nothing too sensational. She wanted to keep the tone thoughtful and grounded, the way her audience expected. Still, the idea of exploring how voice and suggestion could reshape intimacy made her pulse quicken in a way that felt almost personal.

The doorbell rang exactly on time. Emmy stood, smoothed her skirt, and went to answer it. Keri Elordi stood on the doorstep in a tailored black blazer and slim trousers, tall and composed with dark eyes that met Emmy's directly. Her presence filled the entryway without effort.

"Emmy Russell," Keri said, voice smooth and low. "Thank you for having me."

"Please, come in. I'm glad you could make it." Emmy led her through the hallway into the studio. "Everything's set up. We can start whenever you're ready."

Keri placed a small leather bag beside the guest chair and settled into it with unhurried grace. "I'm ready now if you are."

Emmy slipped her headphones on and hit record. The familiar red light glowed steady. She leaned toward her own mic and began the intro in her practiced, articulate cadence. "Welcome back to Relationship Unfiltered. Today I'm joined by Keri Elordi, a rising hypnosis coach whose work focuses on communication, desire, and the power of suggestion in long-term partnerships. Keri, thank you for being here."

"My pleasure," Keri replied. "I appreciate the chance to speak with your audience."

The conversation moved naturally. Emmy asked about Keri's background, how she entered the field, and what clients typically sought. Keri answered with measured calm, each sentence landing with quiet authority. When the topic shifted to techniques, Keri's voice seemed to settle deeper into the room.

"The key," Keri said, "is helping people notice how certain phrases can make them feel more open, more receptive. You find yourself relaxing into the rhythm of the words without even trying. That simple awareness lets everything else follow more easily."

Emmy nodded, jotting a note. The phrase lingered in her mind for a moment before she moved to the next question. "And how do you help couples apply this in the bedroom without it feeling clinical?"

Keri smiled faintly. "I teach them to use language that guides attention exactly where it needs to go. When you listen closely, you discover how good it feels to follow a clear direction. Your body responds before your thoughts catch up. That responsiveness becomes its own kind of intimacy."

They recorded for nearly an hour. Emmy guided the discussion through ethical boundaries, common misconceptions, and practical examples. Each time Keri answered, her tone stayed even and instructional, yet certain lines seemed to nestle into Emmy's awareness with unusual clarity. "You let the suggestion settle," Keri said at one point. "You allow it to shape how you respond without needing to question every step." Emmy found herself nodding along, her own posture softening slightly in the chair.

By the time they wrapped, the studio felt warmer than usual. Emmy ended the recording and removed her headphones. "That was excellent," she said. "Your examples were really vivid. I think listeners will appreciate the nuance."

Keri stood and collected her bag. "You asked the right questions. It made the conversation flow." She paused at the doorway. "If you ever want to explore any of these ideas further for yourself, my door is open. No pressure, of course."

Emmy smiled, professional again. "I'll keep that in mind. Thank you again."

After Keri left, Emmy stayed in the studio to review the file. She played back the last ten minutes, listening for any edits she might want. Keri's voice filled the headphones once more, steady and precise. The same phrases from earlier drifted through her mind with a strange, pleasant weight. She caught herself leaning forward slightly, shoulders loose, attention narrowed to the sound.

She saved the episode and closed the laptop. A lingering warmth spread across her chest and down her arms, not uncomfortable, simply noticeable. Her thoughts felt unusually clear, as though the day's noise had receded. She touched the back of her neck and found her skin faintly flushed.

Emmy stood and stretched, rolling her shoulders. The warmth remained, subtle but persistent. She turned off the studio lights and headed upstairs, already thinking about how she would introduce the episode in her newsletter. The professional satisfaction was familiar, yet underneath it sat something quieter and more focused, like a single clear note holding steady in the background.

She poured herself a glass of water in the kitchen and sipped it slowly. The house was quiet. Jacob would be home in an hour. For now, the only sound was the faint hum of the refrigerator and the echo of Keri's measured voice still threading through her thoughts. Emmy set the glass down and exhaled, feeling the warmth settle deeper, content to let it linger without examining it too closely yet.
