Base Camp Spark
The gravel crunched under Tara's boots as she stumbled out of her car, her heart already racing. She was late. Thanks to a wrong turn on a forest road that had no cell service and no mercy for a woman who couldn't read a map to save her life.
She grabbed her pack from the passenger seat and slammed the door. The sound echoed across the clearing, and six pairs of eyes turned toward her. Tara felt her face go hot.
"You must be Mondale." The voice came from the center of the group. Deep. Steady. Unforgiving.
Tara turned toward it and saw her for the first time.
Giselle Prado stood with her arms crossed, her weight on one hip, her dark eyes fixed on Tara like she was measuring something. She wore a worn flannel shirt with the sleeves rolled up past her elbows, revealing forearms that looked strong enough to carry a person. Her skin was weathered, her jaw sharp, her hair cropped short and practical. She looked like she had been born in these woods.
"I'm sorry," Tara said, her voice coming out higher than she wanted. "I got lost. The GPS doesn't work out here."
"You'll learn that." Giselle's tone was flat. "Drop your pack by the fire pit and join the circle. We're almost done with introductions."
Tara's hands shook as she unbuckled her pack and set it down. She felt every pair of eyes on her as she walked over and lowered herself to the ground, finding an empty spot between two women who looked like they had been camping since birth. One had a braid that fell over her shoulder. The other wore cargo shorts and a tank top that showed off tanned, muscular legs.
Tara wore new hiking boots that already hurt her feet.
"We were just sharing our reasons for being here," Giselle said, pacing slowly around the circle. Her voice had a resonant quality, a kind of hum that seemed to vibrate through the ground. "You're next."
Tara watched her circle, her stomach tight. She had prepared an answer for this. She had practiced it in the car. But now, with Giselle's eyes on her, the words felt hollow.
"I'm here to prove something to myself," Tara said. "I just got out of a relationship. I needed a challenge."
Giselle stopped directly in front of her. She was close enough that Tara could smell her. Pine and sweat and something earthy that reminded her of rain on dirt.
"Break up?" Giselle asked. Her tone dropped, meant only for Tara.
Tara nodded, not trusting her voice.
"What was he?" Giselle's eyes held hers. "Boyfriend? Fiance?"
"Boyfriend. Of three years." Tara swallowed. "He said I was too boring. That I needed to get a life."
Giselle's lips curved into something that wasn't quite a smile. "So you came here. To the woods. To get a life."
"Yes."
Giselle held her gaze for a long moment. Then she turned and addressed the group. "Alright. We have a long day tomorrow. Let's get you all fitted for harnesses and do a basic gear check. Then we'll set up camp."
The next hour was a blur of straps, buckles, and unfamiliar equipment. Tara watched the other women move with confidence, adjusting their own gear, chatting easily with each other. She felt like a child playing dress-up.
"Mondale. Come here."
Tara's heart jumped. She turned to find Giselle holding a climbing harness, her fingers working the nylon webbing with practiced ease.
"Arms up."
Tara obeyed. Giselle stepped in close, so close that Tara could feel the heat radiating from her body. She looped the harness around Tara's waist, and her fingers brushed against Tara's stomach through her shirt.
Tara's breath caught.
"You need to keep this strap tight," Giselle said, her voice intimate, her hands sliding around Tara's hips to adjust the leg loops. Her fingers pressed firmly through the fabric of Tara's jeans, finding the curve where leg met hip. "If it's loose, you'll chafe. And you'll be uncomfortable."
"Okay," Tara managed.
Giselle's hands lingered. She tugged the strap, her knuckles grazing the inside of Tara's thigh. It was a brief touch. Professional. But Tara felt it like a brand.
"There." Giselle stepped back, her dark eyes scanning Tara's face. "How does that feel?"
"Good," Tara said. Her voice was too breathy.
Giselle's eyebrow lifted slightly. "Good. Now show me your knots."
The next drill was a basic figure-eight. Tara's fingers fumbled with the rope, her mind still stuck on the feeling of Giselle's hands on her hips. She made a mess of it.
"No." Giselle's voice was firm. She moved behind Tara, her chest pressing against Tara's back. "Like this."
Her hands came around Tara's body, covering Tara's hands. Her fingers were calloused and warm. She guided the rope through the loops, her breath warm against Tara's neck.
"Feel that?" Giselle's voice was barely a whisper. "The way the rope feeds through. You want it clean. No twists."
Tara's hands were trembling under Giselle's. She could feel the instructor's heartbeat against her spine. Or maybe that was her own.
"There," Giselle said. She pulled the knot tight, her arms still around Tara for a moment longer than necessary. "Good girl."
The words hit Tara somewhere deep in her chest. She had never been called that before. Not like that. Not with that weight.
Giselle stepped away, and the cold air rushed in to fill the space where her body had been. Tara felt dizzy.
"Practice that," Giselle said, already moving to the next woman. "You'll need it tomorrow."
The rest of the gear check passed in a haze. Tara watched Giselle move through the group, correcting posture, adjusting straps, her hands always firm and sure. She touched everyone, but Tara couldn't help feeling like those touches on her own body had been different. Longer. More deliberate.
Or maybe she was imagining it.
The sun was starting to set when they finished. The other women drifted toward the fire pit, laughing and talking. Tara stayed back, pretending to organize her pack. Her fingers kept finding the place on her hip where Giselle's hands had pressed.
"Mondale."
Tara looked up. Giselle was standing a few feet away, silhouetted against the orange sky.
"You did well today," Giselle said. Her voice was quiet, meant only for Tara. "Your form needs work, but your focus is good. That matters."
"Thank you," Tara said.
Giselle nodded once. Then she turned and walked toward the fire, her boots crunching on the gravel.
Tara watched her go. She watched the way Giselle's shoulders moved under her flannel shirt. The way her hips swayed with each step. The way the firelight caught the edge of her jaw when she sat down.
And for the first time in her life, Tara felt something shift inside her. Something she had no name for. Something that had nothing to do with the boyfriend she had left behind.
She touched her own hip, pressing her fingers into the spot where Giselle's hands had been.
The heat was still there.
That night, Tara lay in her tent, listening to the wind move through the pines. The other women's voices drifted from nearby tents, soft and sleepy. She should have been exhausted. She was exhausted.
But every time she closed her eyes, she felt Giselle's hands on her body. She heard that rich voice saying good girl.
Tara rolled onto her back and stared at the dark ceiling of the tent.
She had come here to prove she could be strong. To show herself that she didn't need anyone. That she could survive on her own. But lying there in the dark, with the ghost of a woman's touch still warm on her skin and the echo of her own pleasure still humming through her blood, she wasn't sure what she was proving anymore. Or what she was becoming.
Outside, the wind moved through the pines, and somewhere in the camp, Giselle Prado was sleeping. Or maybe, Tara thought with a shiver that had nothing to do with the cold, she wasn't.

Lean-To
The morning briefing dragged on while Tara shifted her weight from one boot to the other. Marcus stood at the front of the group, clipboard in hand, assigning pairs for the shelter-building exercise. She tried to catch Lena's eye across the circle, hoping for a familiar partner, someone whose rhythm she already knew.
"Tara, you're with Giselle."
Of course.
She swallowed and made her way to the supply pile where Giselle was already sorting rope and canvas. The instructor didn't look up. Didn't acknowledge her. Just handed her a coil of paracord and pointed toward a flat clearing between two pine trees.
"Foundation logs first," Giselle said. "We need four, about six feet each. The ones with the bark stripped."
Tara nodded and walked to the log pile. Her hands still remembered the harness from yesterday. The way Giselle's fingers had tugged the straps tight against her ribs. The sudden heat that had nothing to do with the sun.
She dragged the first log to the clearing. Then the second. By the third, her shoulders burned and sweat collected at the base of her neck. Giselle watched without offering help, arms crossed, that same unreadable expression on her face.
"You're favoring your left side," Giselle said when Tara dropped the third log. "You'll throw your back out before lunch."
"I'm fine."
"You're not. Pick up the last one. I'll show you."
They walked to the pile together. Giselle crouched beside a thick log and waited for Tara to do the same.
"Grip here and here. Wide stance. Keep your back straight and lift with your legs."
Tara grabbed the rough wood. Before she could pull upward, Giselle's hands pressed against her waist, fingers splayed across her hip bones through the thin cotton of her shirt.
"Lower your center of gravity."
The touch was clinical. Corrective. Tara knew that. She breathed in through her nose and lifted.
But Giselle didn't let go.
As they carried the log together, Giselle stayed close behind her, hands still on Tara's hips, guiding her stride. The length of the log forced them to walk in sync, and with each step, Giselle's torso brushed against Tara's back. Warm. Solid. The friction of cotton against cotton, skin beneath both layers growing damp with effort.
"Turn left at the stump."
Tara turned. The movement pressed them tighter together for a moment, and she felt Giselle's breath catch. Or maybe she imagined it. The blood pounding in her own ears made it hard to hear anything else.
They set the log down. Giselle stepped away. The absence of contact left Tara's skin prickling, hypersensitive, as if the air itself had teeth.
"Good," Giselle said. Already moving to the next task.
Good. The word landed somewhere beneath Tara's sternum and stayed there.
They worked through the framework in silence, mostly. Giselle gave instructions in short clipped phrases. Tara followed them. The rhythm became its own language. When Tara hammered stakes into the ground, Giselle held the frame steady, their fingers brushing each time Tara reached for a new stake. When they raised the crossbeam, Giselle stood behind her again, this time with hands on her shoulders, adjusting the angle of her arms.
"You're overcompensating. Let the beam rest on the notch. There."
Her thumbs pressed into the muscle along Tara's shoulder blades, working out a knot that had formed from the lifting. Tara's breath stuttered.
"You carry your tension here." Giselle's voice was low, close enough that Tara felt the words as much as heard them. "You need to learn to let go."
The irony almost made her laugh. She couldn't let go. Not of the beam, not of the strange electric focus that sharpened every time Giselle touched her. Not of the question that had kept her awake last night, staring at the ceiling of her tent.
Why did she want Giselle to correct her again?
The frame was up by early afternoon. The group broke for water and shade, everyone scattering to eat trail mix and compare blisters. Tara sat on a fallen log, drinking from her canteen, watching Giselle across the clearing. The instructor was talking to Marcus, gesturing at something on his clipboard. She looked the same as she had that morning. Composed. Unruffled. As if she hadn't spent the last three hours pressing her palms against Tara's body with deliberate, maddening precision.
Maybe it meant nothing. Maybe that was just how Giselle taught. Hands-on. Literal hands on literal shoulders and hips and backs. Professional. Instructional.
Tara's body didn't believe that.
"Back to work." Marcus clapped twice. "Knot-tying next. Each pair needs to secure their canvas with a taut-line hitch."
They regrouped at the lean-to. Giselle pulled a length of rope from the coil and held it up.
"Taut-line. Watch."
Her hands moved efficiently, wrapping the rope around an anchor, forming the loop, pulling it through. Tara watched her fingers, the calluses on her palms, the dirt packed beneath her short nails.
"Your turn."
Tara took the rope. She'd done this knot before, back in her living room with YouTube tutorials and practice cord. It should have been simple. But her hands felt clumsy, thick, uncooperative. She fumbled the loop twice before Giselle stepped behind her.
Close. Closer than before.
Giselle's chin hovered near Tara's shoulder. Her breath moved across the side of Tara's neck, warm and steady, carrying the faint salt-scent of sweat and something else beneath it. Pine, maybe. Or just skin.
"Start here." Giselle reached around, her forearm brushing Tara's as she positioned the rope. "Wrap twice around the anchor. Away from you, then back."
Tara wrapped. Her fingers trembled. She prayed Giselle couldn't feel it.
"Now form the loop. Smaller than that. You want tension, not slack."
She adjusted. Giselle's breath hit the sensitive skin just below her ear, and Tara's stomach dropped. Not from fear. Not from exhaustion. From something heavier and more dangerous, pooling low and insistent.
"Pull through. Good. Again."
Good. There it was again. That single syllable, spoken against the curve of her neck, and Tara's whole body responded. Heat crept up her throat. She tightened the knot and bit the inside of her cheek.
"Tighten it more. You don't want it slipping in the wind."
Giselle's hand covered hers on the rope, guiding the final pull. Their fingers interlaced for a moment, rough rope between them, and Tara felt the calluses on Giselle's palm catch against her own softer skin. She pulled. The knot held.
"There." Giselle released her hand and stepped back. "You learn fast when you pay attention."
The words could have been innocent. Probably were. But Tara heard something underneath them, a thread she couldn't name, and she spent the rest of the knot-tying exercise trying to convince herself she'd imagined it.
They secured the canvas together, stretching it over the frame, tying off the corners. The lean-to looked solid. Functional. A proper shelter that would hold against wind and rain. Giselle inspected their work, tugging at the anchors, testing the tension, and gave a single nod.
"This'll hold."
The other pairs were still working. Lena called out something from across the clearing, waving at Tara, but the words got lost in the noise of hammering and conversation. Tara lifted a hand to wave back.
When she turned, Giselle was watching her.
Not with the flat professional gaze she'd used all morning. This was different. Slower. Her eyes moved from Tara's face to her collarbone, where sweat had darkened the neckline of her shirt, then back up. The look lasted two seconds. Maybe three. Long enough for Tara's breath to stop.
Then Giselle turned away and walked toward Marcus without a word.
Tara stood there, rope still in her hand, pulse thudding in her throat. The sun pressed against her back. Dirt was ground into her palms, her knees, the creases of her elbows. She could still feel the ghost of Giselle's hands on her hips, her shoulders, the weight of her breath against her neck.
She wanted to be corrected again.
The thought was clear and sharp and terrifying. She wanted Giselle to tell her she was doing something wrong, to step close, to put her hands on her and fix it. She wanted the pressure of those palms, the low voice against her ear, the quiet word good when she finally got it right.
What the hell was wrong with her?
The group finished their shelters by late afternoon. Marcus did a walkthrough, checking each structure, offering feedback. When he reached theirs, he knocked on the crossbeam and whistled.
"Solid work, you two. Giselle, you're rubbing off on the newbies."
"She's a quick study," Giselle said. Her tone gave nothing away.
Dinner was a communal affair, foil packets over the campfire, and Tara sat with Lena and two others from the group. She laughed at the right moments. Contributed to the conversation. Ate her beans and rice without tasting them.
Across the fire, Giselle sat on a log, talking to Marcus and another instructor. The firelight caught the angles of her face, the strong line of her jaw, the way her sleeves were rolled to the elbow, forearms still dusted with dirt from the afternoon. She didn't look at Tara. Not once.
Tara looked at her more than she should have.
Later, in her tent, she lay on her back in her sleeping bag and stared at the nylon ceiling. The forest was loud around her. Cicadas, frogs, the distant rush of the creek. Inside the tent, the air was close and warm, carrying the smell of dirt and sweat and canvas.
She lifted her hand and pressed it against her own hip, where Giselle's fingers had been. The touch felt wrong. Too soft. Too familiar. Not what she wanted.
She pressed harder, trying to recreate the pressure, the firm corrective grip. It didn't work. Her own hands knew her body too well, moved without hesitation, without authority.
She let her arm fall to her side.
Tomorrow they would do navigation. Compass work, map reading, something about pacing and distance. Giselle would probably demonstrate. She would probably touch Tara again. Adjust her grip on the compass. Correct her bearing. Step close enough that Tara could smell the pine and sweat and skin of her.
And Tara would let her.
More than let her. She would find ways to need correcting. Stand just slightly wrong. Hold the compass at the wrong angle. Wait for Giselle to notice, to approach, to put her hands on her and make it right.
She closed her eyes. Her body hummed with something she couldn't release, a tightness that coiled in her belly and refused to unwind. She thought about the look by the lean-to. The two seconds where Giselle's gaze had dropped to her collarbone and something shifted in her expression.
Had she imagined that?
She turned onto her side, pulling the sleeping bag tighter around her. The fabric was warm from her body heat but offered no comfort. Outside, someone laughed, low and distant, and the fire crackled in its ring.
She thought about Giselle's voice saying good. She thought about the calluses on her palms. She thought about what it might feel like to have those hands correct her somewhere else, somewhere lower, somewhere that ached when she let herself think about it.
She didn't sleep for a long time.
Night Watch
The cold woke her first, a creeping chill that had somehow found its way through the zipper of her sleeping bag and into the hollow spaces between her thermal layers and her skin. Tara shifted, trying to burrow deeper, and heard the rustle of nylon and the soft breathing of Sarah in the bag beside her.
The day had been long. After the shelter building exercise, after the knot-tying lesson where Giselle's breath had been so warm against her neck, Tara had felt raw and exposed. She kept replaying that moment when their eyes had met across the clearing and something electric had passed between them. She'd thought about it while eating her dehydrated dinner. While washing her face in the cold stream. While lying here in the dark trying to sleep.
She didn't understand why she kept thinking about it. Her skin still remembered the pressure of Giselle's hands on her hips, guiding her into position. Her body had responded so immediately to the low murmur of Giselle's voice in her ear, and she couldn't make sense of that response.
It didn't mean anything, she told herself. It was just the intensity of the course. The physical closeness that came with learning new skills. Her own loneliness after the breakup, making her read things into simple instruction.
But she hadn't been able to stop thinking about it.
A flashlight beam cut through the darkness outside the tent, and Tara heard footsteps approaching, the crunch of boots on frozen leaves. She held her breath, listening.
"Tara." Giselle's voice was low, barely above a whisper, but it carried through the nylon walls with perfect clarity. "I need to talk to you. Unzip the fly."
Tara's heart jumped. She fumbled for the zipper pull, her fingers clumsy with cold and nerves, and pulled it down. Giselle's silhouette filled the opening, backlit by the faint glow of the moon.
"There's a cold front coming through," Giselle said, her voice matter-of-fact. "Temperatures'll drop below freezing tonight. I'm reassigning tent partners. Sarah, you're going to share with Maria. Tara, you're with me."
Sarah muttered something sleepy and compliant, already gathering her bag. Tara sat frozen, her mind blank with shock.
"Move," Giselle said, not unkindly. "I don't want you getting hypothermic while you think about it."
Tara scrambled out of her sleeping bag, grabbing her pad and her bag, following Giselle across the dark campground to a larger tent pitched slightly apart from the others. The canvas was heavier, the interior more spacious. A single lantern hung from the center pole, casting a warm golden glow.
Giselle knelt and began arranging their sleeping pads side by side. "Zip your bag open," she instructed. "We'll combine them for shared warmth. It's more efficient."
Tara's hands trembled as she worked the zipper. She could feel Giselle's presence like a physical weight, filling the small space, making the air feel thick and electric. She didn't know what to say, what she was supposed to feel.
"Lie down," Giselle said, and Tara obeyed, settling onto the combined sleeping bags. The fabric was cold against her back, but she could feel the warmth radiating from Giselle's body as she lay down beside her, close enough that their shoulders almost touched.
The tent was quiet. The wind picked up outside, rattling the nylon, and Tara shivered.
"You're cold," Giselle said. It wasn't a question.
"A little."
"Come here." Giselle's arm wrapped around her, pulling her close, and Tara's breath caught in her throat. She was pressed against Giselle's side, her head resting on Giselle's shoulder, the instructor's body solid and warm. She could smell the clean scent of soap and the faint musk of sweat and earth.
"It's part of the course," Giselle said, her voice a low rumble in her chest. "Trust exercises. You need to be comfortable with physical closeness. With vulnerability. That's how you learn to rely on your partner."
"Okay," Tara whispered. Her heart was pounding so hard she was sure Giselle could feel it.
"Relax," Giselle murmured. Her hand moved slowly up Tara's arm, a gentle, soothing stroke. "You're tense. That's okay. It's normal. But I need you to trust me. Can you do that?"
"Yes." The word came out before she could think about it.
"Good girl."
The praise sent a shiver through Tara that had nothing to do with the cold. She felt Giselle's hand slide down her arm, over her hip, coming to rest on her thigh. The touch was light, almost casual, but it burned through the layers of fabric.
"Your body's telling me you're still tense," Giselle said. "I can feel the tightness in your muscles. We need to work on that."
Tara swallowed hard. "How?"
"By letting go. By letting me help you." Giselle's hand began to move again, a slow, deliberate stroke along her thigh. "Close your eyes. Focus on my touch. Don't think about anything else."
Tara closed her eyes. The darkness behind her lids was warm and safe. She felt Giselle's hand slide higher, over the curve of her hip, across her stomach, coming to rest just below her ribs. The touch was firm, possessive, and Tara's breath hitched.
"That's it," Giselle whispered. "Breathe. Let yourself feel."
Her hand moved again, slipping under the hem of Tara's thermal shirt, finding bare skin. Tara gasped. The contact was electric, a jolt of heat that spread through her entire body. Giselle's palm was rough and warm against her stomach, and she could feel the calluses from years of gripping ropes and hauling packs.
"Your skin is so soft," Giselle murmured. "So responsive. I can feel you trembling."
Tara couldn't speak. Her throat was tight with a mixture of fear and desire so intense it made her dizzy. She felt Giselle's hand slide higher, over her ribs, and she arched into the touch without meaning to.
"That's right," Giselle said. "Don't fight it. Let your body tell you what it wants."
Her thumb traced the underside of Tara's breast, a featherlight touch that made Tara moan softly. She felt Giselle's lips against her temple, a warm press that felt like approval.
"You're doing so well, Tara. I'm going to touch you now. All of you. And I want you to focus on the feeling. On the pleasure. Nothing else exists right now except this moment."
Giselle's hand moved higher, covering her breast, and Tara's back arched off the sleeping bag. The touch was firm, knowing, Giselle's thumb circling her nipple through the thin fabric of her sports bra. Tara's hands gripped the sleeping bag beneath her, knuckles white.
"I'm going to take this off," Giselle said, tugging at the hem of Tara's shirt. "Lift up for me."
Tara obeyed, raising her arms, and Giselle pulled the shirt over her head, followed by the sports bra. The cold air hit her skin, but before she could shiver, Giselle's mouth was on her, warm and wet, taking her nipple between her lips.
Tara cried out, a sound she didn't recognize, half sob and half moan. Giselle's tongue was expert, circling, flicking, sucking, and Tara's hands found Giselle's hair, fingers tangling in the short dark strands.
"That feels so good," Tara gasped. Her hips shifted restlessly against the sleeping bag. "Please don't stop."
Giselle's mouth moved to her other breast, giving it the same attention. Her tongue swirled around the tightened peak before she sucked gently, then harder, and Tara felt like she was melting into the sleeping bag. Her body was on fire, every nerve ending alive and singing. She could feel the ache building between her legs, a throbbing need that pulsed in time with her heartbeat.
"Please," Tara whispered, not even sure what she was asking for. "Giselle, please."
Giselle lifted her head, her lips wet, her eyes dark. "Tell me what you want, Tara. Use your words."
"I don't know," Tara admitted, her voice shaky. "I don't know what I want. I just... I need..."
"You need me to touch you," Giselle said. It wasn't a question. "You need me to make you feel good. Isn't that right?"
Tara nodded, her cheeks flushing with shame and desire.
"Say it."
"I need you to touch me." The words came out barely above a whisper. "I need you to make me feel good."
"Good girl." Giselle's hand slid down her stomach, over the waistband of her thermal pants, and Tara's hips bucked up to meet the touch. She was soaked, the fabric damp against her center, and she knew Giselle could feel it.
"Look at you," Giselle murmured, her voice low and rough with desire. "So ready for me. So eager."
Her fingers found Tara's center through the thin fabric, pressing, circling, and Tara's breath came in ragged gasps. She was lost, completely lost, her mind empty of everything except the feeling of Giselle's hands on her body.
"I want to taste you," Giselle said, and the words sent a jolt of pure need through Tara's core. "I want to feel you come on my tongue. Can you give me that, Tara?"
"Yes," Tara breathed, her voice breaking. "Please. Yes."
Giselle moved down her body, a slow, deliberate descent, pressing kisses along her stomach, her hips, the inside of her thigh. Tara's legs fell open without her telling them to, and she heard Giselle's soft laugh of approval.
"You're so beautiful like this," Giselle said. "So open. So trusting."
Her fingers hooked into the waistband of Tara's pants and pulled them down, along with her underwear, and Tara was naked beneath her, exposed and vulnerable and aching. The cold air hit her wet skin and she shivered, but then Giselle's mouth was there, warm and wet, and she forgot everything else.
The first touch of Giselle's tongue was gentle, exploratory, a soft stroke that made Tara gasp. Giselle tasted her slowly, savoring, her tongue tracing the length of her before circling her entrance. Tara's hands fisted in the sleeping bag, her hips tilting up toward that warm mouth.
"You taste incredible," Giselle murmured against her, the vibration of her voice sending tremors through Tara's body. "Sweet and wet. All for me."
Then Giselle's tongue became more deliberate, more focused, finding her clit with unerring accuracy and circling it with a pressure that made Tara's vision blur. Giselle's lips wrapped around the swollen bud, sucking gently while her tongue flicked back and forth, and Tara felt the pleasure building in her core like a wave gathering strength.
"Oh God, Giselle," Tara moaned, her head tossing back and forth on the sleeping bag. "That's so good. You feel so good."
Giselle's hands gripped her thighs, spreading her wider, and her tongue moved faster, firmer. She slipped two fingers inside Tara, curling them upward to find that spot that made Tara see stars, and began a steady rhythm that matched the movement of her mouth. The dual sensation was overwhelming, fullness and pressure and wet heat all at once, and Tara felt like she was climbing toward something enormous, something that would shatter her completely.
"Tell me how it feels," Giselle said, her voice muffled against Tara's flesh. "I want to hear you."
"It feels... oh God, it feels incredible," Tara gasped. "Your fingers, your mouth, I can't... I'm going to..."
"That's it," Giselle murmured against her skin, the vibration sending shockwaves through Tara's body. "Come for me, Tara. Let go. I've got you."
Giselle's fingers moved faster, deeper, and her tongue pressed harder against Tara's clit, and Tara felt the wave crest. She shattered, her body arching off the sleeping bag, a cry tearing from her throat. The orgasm rolled through her in waves, each one stronger than the last, her walls clenching around Giselle's fingers as the pleasure pulsed through her. Giselle's mouth stayed on her, drinking it in, drawing it out, her tongue gentling as Tara's body trembled and contracted.
Tara was still coming when Giselle added a third finger, stretching her wider, and another wave crashed through her without warning. She sobbed with the intensity of it, her body jerking, her hands clawing at the sleeping bag. Giselle held her down with her free arm, her mouth never leaving Tara's center, and she rode out every aftershock until Tara was trembling and gasping and utterly spent.
Giselle crawled up her body, pressing soft kisses along her stomach, her chest, her neck, until her face was inches from Tara's. Her lips were wet, her eyes dark and satisfied. She slid her fingers free, and Tara whimpered at the loss.
"You did so well," she whispered. "Your first orgasm from a woman. How does it feel?"
Tara couldn't speak. She could only shake her head, tears pricking at her eyes. It felt like coming home. It felt like everything she had been missing without knowing it.
"Shh," Giselle said, brushing her thumb across Tara's cheek. "I know. It's a lot. But this is just the beginning, Tara. Do you trust me?"
Tara nodded, her throat too tight for words.
"I need to hear you say it."
"I trust you," Tara whispered.
"Good. Now I need you to do something for me. I need you to thank me. For teaching you. For showing you what your body was made for."
Tara's breath caught. The words felt heavy, significant, like a vow. But they also felt right, true in a way she couldn't explain.
"Thank you," she said, her voice soft but steady. "Thank you for teaching me."
Giselle smiled, a slow, satisfied curve of her lips. "You're welcome, Tara. Now sleep. Tomorrow's going to be a long day."
She pulled the sleeping bag over them both, tucking it around Tara's shoulders, and Tara curled into her warmth. She lay in the dark, her body still humming with pleasure, her mind reeling with the knowledge that nothing would ever be the same.
She didn't want it to be.
Trail Rules
The morning came gray and damp, the tent fabric heavy with condensation. Tara lay still in her sleeping bag, listening to the sounds of the camp waking around her. Giselle had already unzipped the tent flap and stepped out without a word, leaving Tara alone with the heat still blooming between her thighs.
She pressed her legs together, remembering. How Giselle's mouth had felt against her skin. The precise pressure of her fingers curling inside. Those whispered instructions in the dark, guiding Tara through something she had never done before, something that had shattered her completely.
Tara touched her own stomach through the thermal layer. A light brush of fingertips, barely there. She wanted to slide her hand lower, wanted to relive it, to understand what had happened to her.
But Giselle's voice came from outside, sharp and businesslike. "Up in five. We're moving before the rain hits."
Tara pulled her hand away. Her fingers tingled with the effort of restraint.
The group ate a quick breakfast of oatmeal and instant coffee, standing in a loose circle as the sky lightened. Tara kept her eyes on her cup, afraid that someone would see it on her face. The other women talked about the day's route, about the river crossing they would need to prepare for. Tara nodded along without hearing.
She felt Giselle's gaze like a physical weight. Every time she looked up, Giselle was watching her. Not staring, nothing so obvious. A steady presence that made Tara's skin prickle with awareness.
"Tara, walk with me."
The words came as the group shouldered their packs. Giselle said them casually, the way she might ask about gear or navigation. The other women barely glanced up.
Tara's heart hammered. She fell into step beside Giselle, matching her pace as they took the lead on the trail. The forest closed around them, damp and green, filled with the sound of birds.
For a long moment, neither of them spoke. Tara focused on her breathing, on the weight of her pack, on anything except the woman walking beside her.
"You did well last night," Giselle said finally. Her voice was low, meant only for Tara.
Tara's face burned. "Thank you."
"But that was just the beginning."
The words hung in the air. Tara stumbled over a root, caught herself. Giselle's hand shot out, steadying her with a grip on her arm. The touch lasted only a second, but Tara felt it everywhere.
"What do you mean?" Tara asked, though she already knew.
Giselle stopped walking. They had reached a bend in the trail, a place where a massive boulder jutted out from the hillside, blocking them from view of anyone behind. Giselle stepped close, her body inches from Tara's.
"From now on, we have a routine," Giselle said. "Every morning, before we start hiking, you find me. Every night, before you sleep, you come to me."
Tara's throat tightened. "The others..."
"Won't know." Giselle's hand came up, brushing a strand of hair from Tara's face. The gesture was almost tender. "You're my responsibility. My trainee. No one questions when I pull a student aside for extra instruction."
Tara's breath came shallow. "And the instruction?"
Giselle smiled. It was not a kind smile. "You'll learn what I have to teach you. All of it."
She stepped back, her voice returning to its normal, professional tone. "We'll stop for a break in about an hour. There's a clearing up ahead. Find an excuse to hang back."
Tara nodded, not trusting her voice.
Giselle turned and continued walking. Tara followed, her legs unsteady, her mind spinning. She tried to process what had just happened. A routine. Every morning and every night. The thought made her stomach clench with a mixture of fear and want.
The hike passed in a blur. Tara moved on autopilot, her body going through the motions while her mind replayed Giselle's words. She watched Giselle's back, the way her hips moved beneath her hiking pants, the strength in her shoulders. She had never looked at a woman like that before. Not once in her life.
And now she could not stop.
When the group reached the clearing, they dropped their packs and spread out to rest. Tara lingered at the edge, pretending to adjust her boot laces. The other women sat in a cluster, sharing snacks and complaining about the grade of the trail.
Giselle was already moving toward the treeline. She did not look back.
Tara waited a full minute. Then she stood, walked casually toward the trees, and slipped between them.
The forest swallowed her. She found Giselle standing behind a thick trunk, arms crossed, waiting. The sounds of the group faded, replaced by the rustle of leaves and the distant call of a jay.
"Good," Giselle said. "You followed instructions."
Tara swallowed. "I did."
Giselle stepped closer. She reached out, took Tara's hand, and placed it on her own hip. "Then you know what comes next."
Tara's fingers curled against the fabric of Giselle's shirt. She could feel the warmth of her body through the thin material. "I'm not sure I do."
"You do." Giselle's hand came up, cupping Tara's jaw. "You know exactly what I'm going to ask of you. The question is whether you're ready to give it."
Tara's lips parted. Her mind screamed warnings, but her body leaned forward, drawn by something stronger than logic.
"Yes," she whispered. "I'm ready."
Giselle's mouth met hers. The kiss was different from the night before. Harder. More demanding. Giselle's tongue pushed past her lips, claiming her mouth with an authority that made Tara's knees weak. She clutched at Giselle's shirt, holding on as the world tilted.
When Giselle pulled back, Tara was gasping.
"On your knees," Giselle said.
Tara dropped. The forest floor was soft with pine needles and damp moss. She knelt, looking up at Giselle, her heart pounding so hard she could feel it in her throat.
Giselle unbuttoned her hiking pants. The sound of the zipper was loud in the quiet woods. She pushed them down just enough, revealing the dark curls between her thighs.
"You're going to learn how to please me," Giselle said. "And you're going to learn to like it."
Tara's mouth was dry. She had never done this before. Never even imagined it. But her body remembered the night before, the way Giselle had tasted on her tongue, and she wanted.
She leaned forward.
Giselle's hand stopped her, fisting in her hair. "First, the rules. You don't touch yourself without my permission. Not ever. If you need to come, you come to me."
Tara's breath caught. "What if I can't find you?"
"Then you wait." Giselle's grip tightened. "Your pleasure belongs to me now. All of it. Do you understand?"
Tara nodded, the motion pulling her hair against Giselle's fingers. "Yes."
"Say it."
"I understand."
Giselle released her hair. "Good girl. Now show me how grateful you are."
Tara leaned in again. This time, Giselle let her.
She pressed her mouth to Giselle's center, unsure at first, her movements hesitant. The taste was familiar now, that salt and musk that had flooded her senses the night before. She licked, tentatively, and felt Giselle's hand return to her hair, guiding her.
"Wider," Giselle said. "Use your whole tongue."
Tara obeyed. She opened her mouth, pressed her tongue flat against Giselle's flesh, and dragged it upward. Giselle made a sound, a low hum of approval that sent a thrill through Tara's chest.
"Better. Now find my clit."
Tara searched, her tongue exploring the folds, the textures. She found the small, stiff nub and circled it with her tongue. Giselle's hips twitched.
"There. Stay there. Don't stop."
Tara did not stop. She licked and sucked, following the rhythm of Giselle's hand in her hair. The sounds Giselle made, those quiet gasps and sighs, filled the forest around them. Tara felt drunk on them. She wanted more. She wanted to make Giselle lose control the way Giselle had made her lose control.
She pressed closer, burying her face between Giselle's thighs, breathing in the deep musk of her arousal. Her tongue moved with more confidence now, tracing the slick folds, learning the geography of Giselle's desire. She found a rhythm, slow circles around that stiff nub, then faster when Giselle's grip tightened in her hair.
"Yes," Giselle breathed. "Just like that. Keep your tongue soft. Let me move against you."
Giselle's hips began to rock, a subtle grinding motion that pressed her flesh against Tara's mouth. Tara held still, letting Giselle use her, feeling the wetness spread across her chin, the trembling in Giselle's thighs. She sucked gently, drawing Giselle's clit between her lips, and the sound Giselle made was something between a moan and a whisper.
"Good. Very good." Giselle's voice was strained now, the first crack in her composure. "Now slide your tongue lower. Inside."
Tara obeyed. She pressed her tongue into Giselle, tasting the wetness there, feeling the walls clench around her. Giselle's hand tightened in her hair, pulling her closer, and Tara fucked her with her tongue, in and out, feeling the rhythm of Giselle's hips grow more urgent.
"Back to my clit. Faster."
Tara returned to that stiff nub, licking faster now, her jaw aching, her own arousal pooling between her legs. She could feel herself throbbing, empty, wanting. But she focused on Giselle, on the sounds she was making, on the way her body was tensing.
Giselle was close. Tara could feel it in the trembling of her thighs, in the sharp pulls of her hand. She sucked harder, flicking her tongue rapidly against Giselle's clit, and Giselle's hips stuttered.
But Giselle did not break. She pulled Tara away before the wave could crest, her breathing ragged but controlled. She looked down at Tara with dark eyes, and Tara could see the flush on her cheeks, the hunger she was holding back.
But Giselle did not lose control. She stood steady, one hand in Tara's hair, the other braced against the tree trunk. She took what Tara gave her, and she did not break.
When she finally pulled Tara away, Tara was breathless, her chin slick, her lips swollen.
"That's enough for now." Giselle's voice was steady, though Tara could hear the edge in it. "You'll finish tonight."
Tara looked up at her, desperate. "But I haven't..."
"You haven't what?"
Tara's face burned. "I haven't... I need..."
Giselle crouched down, bringing her face level with Tara's. "You need what?"
Tara could barely form the words. "I need to come."
"Then you'll come tonight." Giselle's voice was soft, almost kind. "When I let you. Not before."
She stood, buttoned her pants, and walked back toward the clearing. Tara stayed on her knees, trembling, her body aching with unspent need.
The rest of the day was torture.
Tara hiked with the group, her pack heavy, her thighs wet with want. Every step reminded her of Giselle's taste. Every breath carried the scent of her. She could not stop thinking about what would happen that night, and the waiting was worse than anything.
The other women chatted around her. They talked about the terrain, about the weather, about their lives back home. Tara nodded and smiled and said nothing. She was not one of them anymore. She was something else. Something Giselle was making.
By the time they made camp, Tara was raw with need. She helped set up tents, gathered firewood, cooked dinner. Her hands moved automatically while her mind stayed fixed on one thing.
Giselle did not look at her. Did not speak to her. She moved among the group, giving instructions and checking gear, her voice calm and professional. Tara watched her, hungry, and Giselle acted as if she did not exist.
The torture continued.
After dinner, the group settled around the fire. Tara sat on a log, her knees pressed together, her hands clenched in her lap. She could feel the ache building, a pressure that would not be denied.
She needed relief. A little. A touch.
The thought came unbidden, and with it, temptation.
Giselle was on the other side of the fire, talking to one of the other women. Her back was turned. The darkness of the forest pressed in around them. No one was watching.
Tara's hand slid between her thighs. A press, a pressure through her pants. It was not enough, but it was something. A release for the tension that had been building all day.
She pressed harder. Her breath caught. She imagined Giselle's mouth on her, Giselle's fingers inside her. She was so close. So close.
"Tara."
The voice was ice. Tara's hand froze.
She looked up. Giselle was standing over her, her face unreadable. The other women had not noticed. They were laughing at something, their attention elsewhere.
"Come with me," Giselle said.
Tara stood, her legs trembling. She followed Giselle away from the fire, into the darkness. The sounds of the camp faded. The forest closed around them.
Giselle stopped. Turned. Her eyes were hard.
"What did I tell you?"
Tara's throat tightened. "I'm sorry. I just needed..."
"You needed." Giselle's voice was flat. "And you thought you could take what you needed without asking."
Tara shook her head. "I wasn't going to..."
"You had your hand between your legs." Giselle stepped closer. "You were touching yourself. After I told you not to."
Tara could not deny it. She hung her head. "I'm sorry."
"Sorry isn't enough." Giselle's hand came up, gripping Tara's chin, forcing her to meet her eyes. "You broke a rule. There are consequences."
Tara's eyes filled with tears. "Please. I'll do anything."
"Anything?" Giselle's thumb brushed across Tara's lower lip. "Then you'll wait. You'll wait until I decide you've learned your lesson."
"How long?"
"As long as it takes."
Tara sobbed. The sound was ugly, raw. She did not care. "I can't. I need you. I need..."
"You need to learn obedience." Giselle's voice softened, just slightly. "And I'm going to teach you."
She released Tara's chin and stepped back. "Go to your tent. Alone. I'll come for you when I'm ready."
Tara stood there, shaking, her body screaming for release.
"Go," Giselle said.
Tara went.
She lay in her sleeping bag, staring at the tent ceiling, her body a live wire of need. She could hear the others outside, their voices low and comfortable. She could hear the crackle of the fire. She could hear everything, and it all felt distant, unreal.
The only real thing was the ache between her legs. The only real thing was the waiting.
Hours passed. The fire died. The voices faded. The camp went quiet.
And then, finally, the tent zipper opened.
Giselle crawled in, her movements silent. She did not speak. She did not touch. She simply lay down beside Tara, close enough that Tara could feel her warmth.
"Turn over," Giselle whispered.
Tara turned. She faced Giselle in the dark, their breath mingling.
"You're going to lie here," Giselle said. "And you're going to think about what you did. And tomorrow, if you're good, maybe I'll let you try again."
Tara's voice cracked. "Please. Touch me. A little."
"No." Giselle's hand came up, brushing Tara's hair from her face. "You don't get to decide when you're touched. I do."
Tara closed her eyes. The tears came, silent and hot.
"Shh." Giselle's lips pressed against her forehead. "This is how you learn. This is how you get better."
Tara nodded, her throat too tight for words.
"Now sleep," Giselle said. "I'll be here. And in the morning, we'll start again."
Tara lay in the dark, her body aching, her mind spinning. She had never wanted anything so much in her life. She had never needed anyone the way she needed Giselle.
And she knew, with a certainty that terrified her, that she would do anything to earn that touch back. Anything at all.
River Crossing
The water slammed against Tara's thighs, cold enough to steal her breath. She gripped the rope Giselle had strung across the current, her feet slipping on moss-slick rocks beneath the surface. The pack on her back felt like it weighed twice as much, soaked and dragging her down.
"Keep moving." Giselle's voice cut through the roar of the water. She stood mid-river, braced against the current, one hand on the rope, the other extended toward Tara. "Don't stop. You stop, you freeze."
Tara forced her legs forward. The water rose to her waist, then higher. Her teeth chattered so hard she couldn't feel her lips. Behind her, the others waited their turn, but she couldn't focus on anything except the cold, the pull of the current, and Giselle's hand reaching for her.
She stumbled. Water splashed over her chest. The cold hit her ribs like a punch.
"Tara. Look at me."
She looked up. Giselle's eyes were steady, dark, unbothered by the water that pushed against her thighs. She looked solid in a way Tara desperately needed to feel.
"Three more steps. That's all. Then you're done."
Tara took one. Then another. Her foot found a flat rock and she pushed forward. Giselle's hand caught her wrist and pulled her the rest of the way, hauling her up onto the far bank where the water only reached her ankles.
"You're okay." Giselle's hand stayed on her arm, warm against Tara's freezing skin. "You did good. Breathe."
Tara tried to breathe. Her lungs didn't want to cooperate. She was shaking so hard she could hear her own joints knocking.
"I know." Giselle's voice dropped lower, meant only for her. "That crossing's always the worst part. But you made it."
She turned to wave the next woman across, but her hand stayed on Tara's arm, grounding her. Tara stood there, dripping, shivering, and tried to remember how to feel like a person.
The rest of the crossing took another hour. By the time everyone was on the far bank, Tara's shaking had settled into a deep, bone-level cold that wouldn't leave. She'd changed into dry clothes, but her fingers still felt numb and her core still felt like ice.
Giselle watched her from across the camp they'd set up on the riverbank. They were supposed to push another two miles before sunset, but the crossing had taken longer than expected. Giselle had called a halt to let everyone warm up and rest.
"Mondale." Giselle's voice carried across the small clearing. "Come with me. I need to check you for cold injuries."
Tara's stomach flipped. She knew what that meant. Or she thought she did. The other women barely looked up, too busy tending their own gear and bodies. Only Sarah glanced over, but she just looked tired, not suspicious.
Tara followed Giselle into the trees, away from the group. The forest here was thick with pine, the ground soft with fallen needles. They walked until the voices of the group faded into background noise.
"Stop here." Giselle turned to face her. "Take off your jacket."
Tara obeyed. The air hit her damp shirt and she shivered again.
Giselle stepped closer. Her hands found Tara's shoulders, then slid down her arms, checking her skin. "You're still cold."
"I know. I can't seem to warm up."
"Your core temperature's probably still low." Giselle's hands moved to Tara's waist, then slipped under her shirt. Her palms were hot against Tara's cold stomach. "We need to get your blood moving."
Tara's breath caught. Giselle's hands were so warm. They pressed against her skin, spreading heat through her abdomen. She wanted to lean into the touch, to press her whole body against Giselle's warmth.
"Giselle..."
"Shh." Giselle's hands moved higher, tracing up Tara's ribs. "I'm taking care of you. That's all."
But it wasn't all. Tara could feel it in the way Giselle's fingers lingered, in the way her thumbs brushed the underside of Tara's breasts. She could feel it in her own body, in the heat that was starting to build beneath Giselle's hands.
"Remember the rules?" Giselle's voice was low, intimate.
"Yes." Tara's voice came out rough. "I remember."
"Tell me."
"No touching myself without permission. Oral service every night. I belong to you."
"Good girl." Giselle's hands slid down again, settling on Tara's hips. "You're still cold. I need to warm you up from the inside."
Before Tara could respond, Giselle's hand slid lower, pressing against the front of Tara's hiking pants. Her fingers found the waistband and slipped inside, past the damp fabric of Tara's underwear.
Tara gasped. Giselle's fingers were hot against her, so hot. They found her clit without hesitation, pressing in slow circles that made Tara's knees want to buckle.
"You're wet already." Giselle's voice held approval. "That's good. That means your body knows what it needs."
"I can't help it." Tara's hips pushed forward, chasing the pressure. "Every time you touch me, I just..."
"You just what?"
"I want more. I always want more."
Giselle's fingers slid lower, finding her entrance. They pushed inside slowly, one finger, then two. Tara was still damp from the river, still cold, but Giselle's fingers were hot and sure and they filled her in a way that made everything else fade away.
"This is what you need." Giselle's thumb pressed against her clit while her fingers worked inside her. "This is what your body needs. Not a man's cock. Not some fumbling boy who doesn't know how to make you feel good. You need a woman's hands. You need my hands."
"Yes." Tara's head fell back. "Yes, I need them."
Giselle's fingers moved faster, deeper. The sound of them sliding into Tara's wetness was obscene in the quiet woods. Tara could feel herself getting closer, the heat building in her core, spreading through her cold limbs.
"Please." The word came out before she could stop it. "Please, Giselle."
"Please what?"
"Please let me come. Please."
Giselle's fingers slowed but didn't stop. "Not yet. I want to taste you first."
She pulled her fingers out slowly, then brought them to her own mouth. She sucked them clean, watching Tara with dark eyes. "You taste like the river. Cold and clean. But I want to taste you when you're warm."
She dropped to her knees in the pine needles, pulling Tara's pants and underwear down with her. Tara stepped out of them, standing naked from the waist down in the middle of the forest, her skin covered in goosebumps that had nothing to do with the cold.
Giselle's hands found her thighs, spreading them apart. Her mouth was hot when it pressed against Tara's cunt, her tongue sliding through the wetness. Tara's hands found Giselle's shoulders, gripping them for balance.
"Don't hold back." Giselle's voice was muffled against her. "Let me hear you."
Her tongue found Tara's clit and Tara cried out, the sound echoing through the trees. She didn't care who heard. She couldn't care. Giselle's mouth was on her, hot and wet and perfect, and nothing else mattered.
Giselle ate her like she was starving. Her tongue moved in long, slow strokes, then quick flicks against Tara's clit. Her hands gripped Tara's ass, pulling her closer, holding her steady while she devoured her. Tara's fingers tangled in Giselle's hair, pulling her in deeper, needing more pressure, more of everything.
The warmth of Giselle's mouth spread through Tara's body, chasing away the cold that had settled into her bones. Each stroke of Giselle's tongue sent heat radiating outward, from her core to her fingertips to her toes. She was thawing, but not from any fire or blanket. From this. From Giselle.
"God, your mouth." Tara's hips moved on their own, grinding against Giselle's face. "Your mouth is so good. You're so good."
Giselle responded by sucking Tara's clit into her mouth, drawing on it with firm, steady pressure. Tara's vision blurred. Her thighs clamped around Giselle's head, then forced themselves apart again, wanting to stay open, wanting to give Giselle everything.
"Don't stop. Please don't stop."
Giselle didn't stop. Her tongue swirled around Tara's clit, then dipped lower, pushing inside her. Tara could feel the muscle of it, the strength, the way Giselle fucked her with her tongue the same way she fucked her with her fingers. Controlled. Deliberate. Devastating.
Tara's legs started to shake. The orgasm was building, a pressure behind her clit that demanded release. Every nerve in her body was focused on that one point, on Giselle's mouth, on the wet heat that was consuming her.
"Please." The word fell out of her again. "Please, Giselle, please let me come. I need it. I need it so bad."
"Beg me."
"I'm begging. I'm begging you. Please let me come. I'll do anything. I'll be anything. Just please let me come."
Giselle's tongue pressed harder, faster, and Tara shattered.
The orgasm hit her like the river had, overwhelming, sweeping her away. She cried out, her body arching, her hands gripping Giselle's shoulders so hard she knew she'd leave marks. Giselle didn't stop, didn't slow down, her tongue working Tara through every wave of pleasure until Tara was shaking and sobbing and begging her to stop.
But Giselle didn't stop. Not yet. She sucked Tara's clit again, gentle this time, drawing out the aftershocks until Tara's whole body jerked with each one. The pleasure was almost too much, almost pain, and Tara's thighs trembled violently, barely able to hold her weight.
"Giselle. Giselle, please. I can't take any more."
Giselle pulled back, her chin wet, her eyes satisfied. "Good girl. That's what I needed to see."
Tara slid down the tree behind her, her legs too weak to hold her. She ended up on her knees in the pine needles, facing Giselle, her breath coming in ragged gasps.
"I want more." The words came out before she could think about them. "I want to make you feel good. I want to taste you. Please."
Giselle's eyebrows rose. "That's the first time you've asked."
"I know. I want to. I want to so bad."
"Then do it."
Tara didn't need to be told twice. She reached for Giselle's pants, fumbling with the button, the zipper. Giselle helped her push them down, and then Tara was faced with Giselle's cunt, dark and wet and waiting.
She didn't know what she was doing. She'd only done this once before, in the tent, and even then she'd been hesitant, unsure. But now she wanted it. She needed it. She needed to know what Giselle tasted like, what she sounded like when she came, what her face looked like when pleasure overtook her.
She leaned forward and pressed her mouth against Giselle's warmth.
The taste was strong, musky, intimate. Tara's tongue found Giselle's clit and she licked, trying to remember what Giselle had done to her. She tried to copy the rhythm, the pressure, the way Giselle had circled her clit before flicking it.
"Slower." Giselle's hand found her hair, guiding her. "Use your whole tongue. Don't just focus on the tip."
Tara adjusted, flattening her tongue, pressing it against Giselle's clit in long, slow strokes. Giselle's breath caught, her hand tightening in Tara's hair.
"Yes. Like that. Don't stop."
Tara didn't stop. She kept licking, kept pressing, trying to make Giselle feel as good as Giselle had made her feel. She wanted to be good at this. She wanted to be worthy of Giselle's attention, worthy of her approval, worthy of her.
She experimented, varying her pressure, trying different angles. When she pressed harder, Giselle's hips bucked. When she slowed down, Giselle's hand pulled her closer. She was learning, reading Giselle's body the way Giselle had learned to read hers.
"Use your fingers." Giselle's voice was strained now, less controlled. "Inside. Now."
Tara obeyed, sliding two fingers into Giselle's wetness. The heat around them was incredible, slick and tight, and Tara curled them upward, searching for the spot she'd read about but never found.
"There. Fuck. Right there."
She found it. That rough patch of flesh that made Giselle's whole body jerk. Tara pressed against it while her tongue worked Giselle's clit, and the sound Giselle made was something Tara had never heard before. Raw. Unfiltered. Not in control.
"Faster now. A little faster."
She sped up, her tongue moving in quick, firm strokes against Giselle's clit while her fingers fucked into her. Giselle's hips moved with her, pressing against her face, riding her hand, and Tara understood that she was close.
"Don't stop. Don't you fucking stop."
Tara didn't stop. She kept licking, kept moving, her jaw starting to ache but she didn't care. Giselle's hand in her hair tightened, pulling, and then Giselle's body tensed and she came with a low, rough groan that made Tara's whole body flush with heat.
Giselle's release flooded her mouth, warm and salty. Tara swallowed, licking through it, her fingers still moving inside, drawing out every tremor until Giselle's hand pulled her away.
"Come here." Giselle pulled her up, kissed her hard, their mouths sharing the taste of both of them. The kiss was messy, desperate, nothing like Giselle's usual controlled affection. "You did good. You did so good."
Tara's eyes were wet. She hadn't realized she was crying. "I want more. I want to do that again. I want to do it every day."
Giselle smiled, a rare thing, a soft thing. "You will."
"I mean it." Tara's voice cracked. "I want this. I want you. I don't want to go back to how I was before. I don't want men. I don't want any of it. I just want you."
"I know." Giselle's thumb brushed Tara's cheek, wiping away the tears. "I know, Tara. That's what I've been waiting to hear."
Tara leaned into her, pressing her face against Giselle's neck, breathing her in. She was still cold, still shaking, still sitting on her knees in the pine needles with her pants around her ankles. But she'd never felt more sure of anything in her life.
She wanted more. She wanted all of it. And for the first time, she wasn't afraid to admit it.
Storm Bound
The sky turned green just after noon. Tara watched the color drain from the forest, leaves flipping pale undersides as the wind picked up. She had been gathering kindling for the fire pit, her arms full of dry twigs, when Giselle appeared at the edge of the clearing.
"Drop that. Now." Giselle's voice cut through the rising wind. "We've got maybe ten minutes before that hits. There's an emergency shelter half a mile east. Move."
Tara let the kindling fall and ran after Giselle, her boots slipping on the duff layer. The other women were scattered across different sections of the camp, but Giselle didn't stop to gather them. She moved fast, sure, her long legs eating up the trail. Tara followed, heart hammering, branches whipping at her face.
The shelter was a low dome of reinforced fabric, barely tall enough to crouch in. Giselle had it unzipped and was pushing Tara inside before the first fat raindrops began to fall. The door sealed behind them, and the world went quiet and dark.
Thunder rolled across the mountain. Rain hammered the fabric roof. Inside, the space felt impossibly small. Two bodies. A few packs. The smell of wet canvas and damp earth. Tara sat on the floor, knees drawn up, trying to control her breathing.
"That was close," she managed.
Giselle didn't answer. She was already unpacking gear, her movements calm and methodical. She pulled out a water bottle, a first aid kit, a coil of climbing straps. Her eyes swept the shelter, assessing.
"We might be here a while," Giselle said. "Storm's coming in fast. Could last hours."
Tara nodded, trying to look useful. "What can I do?"
Giselle's gaze settled on her, dark and considering. "You can stop pretending you don't know why I brought you in here alone."
Tara's breath caught. The words hung in the damp air, heavy with meaning. She looked down at her hands, dirty and trembling slightly. The storm outside seemed very far away now.
"I thought you might want to... rest," Tara said weakly.
Giselle laughed, a low sound that barely carried over the rain. "Rest. Sure, Tara. You and I both know what's been building since that river."
Tara's cheeks burned. She remembered kneeling in the pine needles, the taste of Giselle on her tongue, the desperate plea that had slipped out before she could stop it. Please. I want more. She had meant it then. She meant it now.
"I don't know what I'm doing," Tara admitted. "I just know I want to do it. For you."
Giselle moved closer, her body blocking the dim light from the shelter's single vent. She knelt in front of Tara, close enough that Tara could feel the heat radiating off her skin.
"Then let me show you something," Giselle said. "Lie back."
Tara obeyed, her body already primed for the command. She stretched out on the sleeping mat, the thin foam barely cushioning her from the hard ground. Giselle reached for the climbing straps and held them up, the nylon webbing catching the faint light.
"I'm going to tie your wrists to that pole," Giselle said, nodding toward the central support. "You're going to lie there and take whatever I give you. Can you do that?"
Tara's mouth went dry. She looked at the straps, then at Giselle's steady eyes. A part of her, the part that still remembered being a straight office worker from the city, screamed that this was too much. But that voice was faint now, drowned out by the roaring need that had been building for days.
"Yes," Tara whispered.
Giselle worked quickly, efficiently. She bound Tara's wrists together with a loop of webbing, then secured the line to the pole above her head. The position left Tara's arms stretched above her, her body exposed and open. The climbing straps bit into her skin, a gentle pressure that reminded her she couldn't move.
"Good girl," Giselle murmured. She ran a hand down Tara's arm, over her shoulder, across her chest. "You look right like this."
Tara shivered. The storm raged outside, wind howling against the shelter walls, but inside, the only sound was her own ragged breathing and the soft rustle of Giselle's movements.
Giselle straddled Tara's chest, her weight settling onto Tara's ribs. She was wearing thin hiking pants and a thermal shirt, and Tara could feel the heat of her through the layers. Giselle leaned forward, her face inches from Tara's.
"You've been doing so well," Giselle said. "But you still hold back. I can feel it. A little piece of you that's still afraid."
Tara swallowed. It was true. Even as she craved Giselle's touch, even as she begged for more, there was a tiny knot of resistance deep in her chest. A remnant of the woman she used to be.
"I'm going to fuck that fear out of you," Giselle said. "By the time this storm passes, you're going to know exactly who you belong to."
She shifted upward, her knees moving forward until she was straddling Tara's face. The fabric of her pants brushed Tara's cheeks, and Tara's breath hitched. She knew what was coming. She had done this before, in the woods, on her knees. But this time was different. This time she was bound, helpless, completely at Giselle's mercy.
Giselle pulled down her pants, just enough to expose herself. She was already wet, the scent of her arousal filling the small space. She lowered herself onto Tara's mouth, and Tara's world narrowed to nothing but taste and pressure and the command of Giselle's hands in her hair.
"Use your tongue," Giselle said. "Don't stop. Don't slow down. I'm going to use you until I'm satisfied."
Tara obeyed. She licked and sucked, her tongue finding the rhythm that had made Giselle gasp in the river crossing. But this time, Giselle didn't gasp. She moaned, low and deep, and began to move her hips in a steady, grinding rhythm.
Tara's tongue traced the slick folds of Giselle's cunt, learning the topography of her pleasure. She found the swollen bud at the center and circled it with the tip of her tongue, feeling Giselle's thighs tense on either side of her head. The taste was different than she remembered from the river. Richer. More concentrated. The musk of arousal mixed with the salt of sweat from their run through the storm.
"Harder," Giselle commanded, her fingers tightening in Tara's hair. "Press your tongue flat against me. Yes. Like that."
Tara flattened her tongue and pressed upward, letting Giselle control the pace. The grinding motion smeared Giselle's wetness across Tara's chin, her cheeks, her lips. She could feel the heat of Giselle's arousal building, the subtle contractions of her muscles as the pleasure mounted.
Minutes passed. Or hours. Tara lost track. Her jaw ached. Her wrists burned against the straps. But she didn't stop. She couldn't stop. Every time she faltered, Giselle tugged her hair, a sharp reminder to keep going.
"That's it," Giselle breathed. "Right there. Don't you dare stop."
Tara's world became a cycle of sensation. The slick heat of Giselle against her tongue. The pressure of her weight. The sound of her pleasure, rising and falling like the wind outside. Tara's own arousal was a distant ache, a need she couldn't touch, could only endure. Her own cunt throbbed with every beat of her heart, untouched and desperate, but that only made the act of serving more intense.
Giselle came with a sharp cry, her body shuddering above Tara. Tara felt the orgasm against her mouth, the rhythmic pulses of Giselle's cunt as it contracted with each wave. She kept her tongue pressed against the swollen flesh, drawing out every last tremor until Giselle lifted herself away.
Tara gasped for air, her face slick and burning. Her own breath came in ragged sobs, her chest heaving beneath the weight that had just been there.
"Good," Giselle said. She sounded almost surprised. "You're learning."
But she didn't stop. She shifted, turning around, and settled back down onto Tara's face in a new position. This time, Tara could feel Giselle's thighs pressing against her ears, could feel the heat of her cunt directly over her mouth. Giselle leaned forward, her hands braced on Tara's stomach, and began to ride her face in earnest.
"Again," Giselle commanded. "I'm not done with you yet."
This angle was different. Tara could feel every fold, every crease of Giselle's sex as it pressed against her mouth. She extended her tongue and let Giselle move against it, sliding back and forth in a rhythm that grew faster and more urgent with each pass. The wetness was everywhere now, coating Tara's chin, dripping down her cheeks. She could feel Giselle's clit swelling against her tongue, hard and demanding.
"Suck it," Giselle said, her voice strained. "Take my clit in your mouth and suck."
Tara obeyed, sealing her lips around the sensitive bundle of nerves and drawing it in. Giselle groaned, her hips stuttering for a moment before resuming their rhythm. Tara sucked gently at first, then harder, experimenting with pressure, learning what made Giselle's breath catch and her thighs clench.
"Fuck. Yes. Just like that." Giselle's words came out in fragments, broken by the rhythm of her own movements. "You're a natural. You were made for this."
The praise sent a jolt of pleasure through Tara's body, settling in her untouched cunt like a physical touch. She moaned against Giselle's flesh, and the vibration made Giselle cry out again. Tara realized she had discovered something: her own pleasure was tied to Giselle's. Every gasp, every moan, every shudder of the woman above her sent a corresponding pulse of heat between her own legs.
Tara's mind started to blur. The pleasure of serving Giselle warred with the ache in her muscles, the strain of holding position. She focused on the taste, on the sound of Giselle's breathing, on the way her own body responded to every command. She was nothing but a tool for Giselle's pleasure. And that thought, instead of terrifying her, filled her with a strange, quiet peace.
The second orgasm took longer. Giselle built it slowly, her movements becoming more urgent, her breath coming in ragged gasps. Tara kept going, her tongue finding the right spot, her lips sucking gently. She wanted this. She wanted to give Giselle everything.
When Giselle came again, she cried out Tara's name. The sound broke something inside Tara. Tears welled in her eyes, hot and sudden. She didn't know why she was crying. She wasn't sad. She wasn't hurt. She was overwhelmed, drowning in sensation and submission and the sheer magnitude of what she had become.
Giselle noticed. She lifted herself off, her face softening as she looked down at Tara's tear-streaked cheeks.
"Shh," Giselle said. She reached down, brushing the tears away with her thumb. "I know. It's a lot. But you're doing so well, Tara. You're exactly where you're supposed to be."
Tara sobbed, a raw, broken sound that was swallowed by the storm. "I don't... I don't know who I am anymore."
"You're mine," Giselle said. "That's who you are. You're my good girl. My perfect little pupil. And you're going to spend the rest of this storm proving that to me."
She lowered herself again, but this time she didn't ride. She sat on Tara's face, her weight a heavy, warm pressure, and she began to talk.
"You're never going to go back to men," Giselle said. "You're never going to pretend to be straight again. You're going to live for me. Serve me. Worship me. That's your purpose now."
Tara nodded, or tried to. The motion was muffled against Giselle's flesh. But Giselle understood. She stroked Tara's hair, her voice a low, steady stream of praise and ownership.
"I'm going to fill your mouth with my pleasure until you can't remember a time when you didn't belong to me. I'm going to break you down until there's nothing left but the need to serve."
The third time, Tara didn't just please Giselle. She worshipped her. Each lick was a prayer. Each gasp of pleasure was an answered plea. Tara's tears mixed with Giselle's wetness, and she didn't care. She was beyond caring. She was beyond everything except the taste of her instructor, the weight of her ownership, the sound of her pleasure.
Giselle shifted again, leaning forward until her hands found Tara's hips. She dug her fingers into the soft flesh there, using it for leverage as she ground against Tara's mouth. The new angle let her press harder, deeper, and Tara felt the change in the rhythm, the desperation building in Giselle's movements.
"You feel that?" Giselle asked, her voice thick with arousal. "That's what you do to me. That's what you're for."
Tara moaned her response into Giselle's cunt, her tongue working furiously now. She could feel the third orgasm building, could feel the tension in Giselle's thighs, the quickening of her breath. She wanted to push her over the edge. She wanted to feel Giselle shatter above her.
"Close," Giselle gasped. "So close. Don't stop. Don't fucking stop."
Tara didn't. She sucked and licked and pressed her tongue flat and curled it and did everything she had learned, everything that had drawn sounds of pleasure from Giselle before. She felt the orgasm hit like a wave, Giselle's whole body going rigid for a moment before the tremors started. Her cunt pulsed against Tara's mouth, and a fresh flood of wetness coated her tongue.
Giselle collapsed forward, her weight pressing down on Tara's body. For a long moment, neither of them moved. The only sounds were the storm outside and their own ragged breathing.
Then Giselle stirred. She pushed herself up, turning to look at Tara's face. Her expression was unreadable, but her eyes were soft.
"One more," she said. It wasn't a question.
Tara's jaw ached. Her wrists were raw. Her entire body was trembling with exhaustion and unfulfilled need. But she nodded.
Giselle smiled. It was a small, satisfied expression, and it made Tara's heart swell.
"Good girl."
She positioned herself again, but this time she was slower, more deliberate. She lowered herself onto Tara's mouth with care, settling her weight gradually. Tara's tongue found her immediately, and Giselle sighed.
"This one's going to take a while," Giselle said. "I want you to feel every second of it. I want you to understand what you are."
The fourth orgasm was a marathon. Giselle rode Tara's face with a slow, grinding rhythm, building her pleasure in increments. She talked the whole time, her voice a low murmur that Tara could barely hear over the storm.
"You're doing so well. You're perfect. You were made for this. My good girl. My perfect little slut. You're going to be mine forever. You're going to worship me with your mouth every day. You're going to learn to beg for it."
The words washed over Tara like the rain outside, soaking into her skin, filling her up. She felt them settle into her bones, replacing the doubt and fear that had lived there before. She was Giselle's. She was meant to serve. This was her purpose.
When Giselle finally came the fourth time, it was with a long, shuddering moan that seemed to go on forever. Her body trembled, her thighs clenching around Tara's head, and Tara felt every pulse of her orgasm against her tongue. She kept licking, gently now, drawing out the aftershocks until Giselle lifted herself away with a shaky breath.
Hours passed. The storm raged. Giselle came again and again, each orgasm bringing Tara closer to the edge of her own sanity. But Tara didn't break. She transformed. The last pieces of her old self dissolved, washed away by the storm and the taste of Giselle's cunt.
When the rain finally began to ease, Giselle untied her. Tara's wrists were raw, her jaw was numb, her face was a mess of tears and saliva and arousal. But she looked up at Giselle with clear, steady eyes.
"Thank you," Tara whispered. Her voice was hoarse, barely audible. But the words were true. She had never been more grateful for anything in her life.
Giselle pulled her close, wrapping her in a blanket. "You did so well, Tara. I'm proud of you."
Tara pressed her face into Giselle's chest and let herself be held. Outside, the storm was breaking. The first rays of sunlight pierced the clouds, lighting up the wet forest. But inside the shelter, in the warmth of Giselle's arms, Tara had found her new home.
She was owned. She was claimed. And for the first time in her life, she knew exactly who she was.
Solo Night Denial
The morning air felt thin and charged. Tara stood with the group, her pack ready, her body still aching from the storm shelter. She watched the other women tighten their straps and check their gear. They were moving on. She was staying.
Giselle made the announcement with calm authority. "Tara needs additional work on her navigation skills. She'll catch up tomorrow."
No one questioned it. They nodded, shouldered their packs, and filed down the trail. Tara watched them disappear into the trees, her stomach tightening with a mixture of dread and something she refused to name. Anticipation. Need.
She hadn't touched herself in days. Giselle's rules were clear. And every night, every stolen moment, had only built a pressure that now felt unbearable.
"You know why you're staying," Giselle said. Her voice was low, steady. She didn't look at Tara as she spoke. She was checking her own pack, adjusting a strap.
Tara swallowed. "Yes."
"Tell me."
"Because I need to learn."
Giselle finally turned. Her dark eyes pinned Tara in place. "You need to learn what?"
Tara's mouth went dry. "To surrender."
"That's right." Giselle stepped closer. She didn't touch her, but the proximity was enough. Tara could smell her. Sweat and pine and something clean underneath. "But first, I need to understand what I'm working with. What I'm replacing."
She led Tara off the main trail, down a narrow path that ended in a small clearing. The trees formed a natural canopy overhead. A soft bed of needles covered the ground. Giselle dropped her pack and gestured for Tara to do the same.
"Kneel."
Tara obeyed. The ground was cool through her pants. She settled onto her heels, her hands resting on her thighs. Her heart hammered.
Giselle stood over her, arms crossed. "I want you to tell me about every man you've been with. Every single one. From the beginning."
Tara's face flushed. "All of them?"
"All of them." Giselle's voice was calm, patient. "I need to hear it. I need you to hear it. How many?"
Tara looked down at her hands. "Five."
"Five." Giselle repeated the number like she was tasting it. "That's a lot of failure to undo. Start with the first."
Tara took a shaky breath. She thought about high school. About Kevin, the senior who had fumbled with her bra in the back of his car. "His name was Kevin. I was fifteen. He was seventeen. It was in his car."
"What did he do?"
"He... he touched me. Over my clothes. Then under."
"Did you like it?"
Tara hesitated. "I thought I did. At the time."
Giselle crouched down in front of her. "But now you know better. Don't you?"
"Yes."
"Tell me."
The words felt like stones in her throat. "I didn't know what I was missing. I didn't know what it could feel like."
Giselle's hand came up, cupping Tara's cheek. The touch was gentle, almost tender. "Good. Keep going."
Tara closed her eyes. She talked about Kevin, about how it had been awkward and quick and nothing like the way Giselle touched her. She talked about the second one, a frat boy in college who had been rough and drunk. She talked about the third, a guy she'd dated for six months who had never once made her come.
With each name, Giselle's hand moved lower. A finger tracing her jaw. A thumb brushing her collarbone. The touch was light, barely there, but it made Tara's skin burn.
"Keep going," Giselle murmured. "You're doing so well."
Tara's voice cracked as she described the fourth. A coworker, older, who had treated her like a project. She had let him because she didn't know better. She had thought that was what sex was.
Giselle's hand slid under her shirt, palm flat against her stomach. The warmth of it made Tara's breath hitch.
"And the last one?"
Tara's throat tightened. "Mark. My ex. The one I..."
"The one you were running from," Giselle finished.
Tara nodded, tears pricking at her eyes. "He was... he was fine. He was nice. But I never..."
"You never what?"
"I never felt this." The words tumbled out. "I never felt like I was on fire. I never knew my body could feel like this. I had no idea it could be like this."
Giselle's hand moved lower, fingers hooking under the waistband of Tara's pants. "Do you want me to touch you?"
"Yes. Please. God, yes."
"Then tell me the truth. Were you ever really attracted to them?"
Tara shook her head, tears spilling over. "No. I was pretending. I was performing. I wanted to be normal. I wanted to want them. But I never did. Not really."
Giselle's fingers slid inside her pants, finding her wet and ready. Tara gasped, her hips bucking forward. But Giselle didn't push inside. She circled, light and teasing, bringing Tara to the edge without letting her fall.
"Please," Tara begged. "Please, I need..."
"Not yet." Giselle's voice was calm, implacable. "You haven't finished confessing."
She withdrew her hand. Tara sobbed, the denial a physical ache. She was so close. So close.
"Tell me more," Giselle said. "Tell me about the first time you realized you wanted a woman."
Tara's mind raced. She thought about college, about a girl in her dorm who had smiled at her. She thought about the way her stomach had flipped. She thought about how she had pushed it down, buried it, pretended it didn't exist.
"There was a girl," she whispered. "Sophomore year. She was... she was beautiful. And I wanted her to touch me. I dreamed about it. But I was too scared."
"What did you dream?"
"I dreamed about her hands. Her mouth. I dreamed about..." Tara's voice broke. "I dreamed about being on my knees for her."
Giselle's hand returned, firmer this time. She pressed two fingers inside Tara, slow and deep. Tara cried out, her head falling back.
"That's it," Giselle said. "That's what you were always meant for. Not fumbling in cars. Not pretending with men. This."
She pumped her fingers, steady and relentless. Tara's hips moved in rhythm, chasing the pressure. She was close again, the pleasure building like a wave.
"Please," she begged. "Please, let me come. I'll do anything."
Giselle stopped.
Tara screamed. It was a raw, animal sound of frustration. She grabbed at Giselle's wrist, trying to force her hand back, but Giselle pulled away.
"No," Giselle said. "Not until you say it."
"Say what?" Tara was sobbing now, tears streaming down her face. "Tell me. I'll say anything."
Giselle stood. She looked down at Tara, kneeling in the pine needles, broken and desperate. "Say you're a lesbian. Say you were never straight. Say you belong to me."
Tara's breath came in ragged gasps. The words were there, on her tongue. She had been fighting them for days, for weeks, for her whole life. But now, with her body aching and her mind stripped bare, there was nothing left to fight.
"I'm a lesbian," she whispered. "I was never straight. I was pretending. I belong to you."
"Again."
"I'm a lesbian. I'm yours. I'm a lesbian."
Giselle crouched in front of her. Her hand came up, wiping the tears from Tara's cheeks. "One more time. Look at me and say it."
Tara met her eyes. The dark gaze was steady, possessive, loving. "I'm a lesbian. I'm yours. I was never anything else."
Giselle smiled. It was a rare thing, that smile. It transformed her face, softened the hard edges. "Good girl."
Her hand slid down, finding Tara's wet center. This time, she didn't stop. She pushed inside, thumb pressing against Tara's clit, and worked her with a steady, knowing rhythm.
"Come for me," Giselle said. "Come for me, and remember who you belong to."
Tara shattered. The orgasm ripped through her, violent and cathartic. She screamed Giselle's name, the sound echoing through the trees. Her body convulsed, her hands gripping Giselle's arm, her mind blank with pleasure.
When it was over, she collapsed forward, her forehead resting against Giselle's shoulder. She was shaking, crying, laughing. She felt hollowed out and filled at the same time. Clean.
Giselle held her, one hand stroking her hair. "You did so well," she murmured. "I'm proud of you."
Tara clung to her. The words echoed in her head. I'm a lesbian. I'm yours. They felt true. They felt like coming home.
The sun was setting, casting long shadows through the trees. They had the whole night ahead of them. And Tara knew, with a certainty that settled deep in her bones, that she would spend it on her knees.
Giselle helped her stand, led her to the tent they had set up. Tara moved on autopilot, her body still humming. She knelt inside the tent, waiting, watching Giselle's every move.
"Tonight," Giselle said, "you're going to show me how grateful you are. You're going to worship me until I tell you to stop. And then you're going to do it again."
Tara nodded. Her mouth was already watering. "Yes."
Giselle sat, leaning back on her elbows. Her legs fell open. The invitation was clear.
Tara crawled forward. She pressed her face against Giselle's thighs, breathing in the scent of her. She was home. She was exactly where she was meant to be.
"Thank you," she whispered against Giselle's skin. "Thank you for showing me who I am."
Giselle's hand found her hair, guiding her lower. "Show me."
And Tara did.
Summit Claim
The trail steepened as it switchbacked up the final ridge. Tara's lungs burned with the thin air, her thighs aching from days of hard travel. But the pain felt distant now, muffled beneath a deeper awareness that pulsed through her with every step.
Giselle moved ahead of her on the narrow path, her lean frame silhouetted against the bright morning sky. The other women had fallen behind, spread out along the switchbacks below. For the past hour, it had been just the two of them, climbing in a silence that felt more intimate than any of the words they'd exchanged in the night.
Tara's skin tingled with remembered sensations. The way Giselle's fingers had pressed into her thighs during the solo night. The sound of her own voice breaking as she'd confessed every detail of her past with men. The shame and relief that had flooded through her when Giselle had finally pulled her close and whispered that she was ready.
Now they were nearly at the top.
"The summit," Giselle said, her voice carrying back over her shoulder. "You made it."
Tara looked up. The peak was maybe fifty feet away, a bare outcropping of granite that rose above the treeline. The wind was stronger here, whipping her hair across her face. She pushed it back and kept climbing.
When she reached the summit, Giselle was already there, standing at the edge of the flat rock. The view opened up in every direction. Mountains rolled away to the horizon, their peaks still dusted with snow. A lake glittered far below, deep blue and impossibly clear. Tara stood beside her instructor, breathing hard, and for a moment she forgot everything else.
"It's beautiful," she said.
"It is." Giselle turned to face her. The wind pressed her shirt against her torso, revealing the hard lines of her body. Her dark eyes were fixed on Tara with an intensity that made the air feel thick. "But that's not why I brought you up here first."
Tara's heart began to pound. "I know."
"Do you?"
"Yes." She swallowed. "You want me to... to show you. To prove it."
Giselle's mouth curved in a faint smile. "Prove what, Tara?"
Tara's legs felt weak. She looked at the rock beneath her feet, then back up at Giselle's face. The other women would be here soon. This was the most exposed place on the entire course. And yet, she knew what she wanted.
"Prove that I'm yours," she said, her voice barely audible above the wind.
Giselle took a step closer. "Say it louder."
Tara's throat tightened. She forced the words out. "I'm yours."
"Louder."
"I'm yours!" Tara's voice cracked on the second word, but she didn't care. She felt the truth of it burning in her chest. She dropped to her knees on the hard rock, the impact sending a jolt through her shins. The wind tore at her hair, but she stayed there, looking up at Giselle, waiting.
Giselle's expression shifted. The stern instructor mask fell away, replaced by something raw and possessive. She stepped closer until she was standing directly in front of Tara, her boots inches from Tara's knees.
"Tell me what you want," Giselle said, her voice low. "Tell me what you're begging for."
Tara's hands trembled at her sides. "I want to belong to you. I want to serve you. Not just here, not just for the course. I want to go home with you. I want to be yours forever."
"Those are big words for a woman who was straight two weeks ago."
"I'm not straight." Tara shook her head. "I'm not anything you didn't make me. I'm yours. That's all I am."
Giselle reached down and cupped Tara's chin, tilting her face up. Her thumb traced across Tara's lower lip. "And the men? The ones you told me about?"
"They were nothing." Tara's voice was thick with emotion. "They were me trying to be something I'm not. You woke me up. You showed me what I really am."
"What are you?"
"Your servant." Tara's eyes welled with tears. "Your pussy worshiper. Your good girl. Whatever you want me to be."
Giselle's thumb pressed into Tara's mouth, and Tara closed her lips around it, sucking gently. Giselle watched her with dark, satisfied eyes.
"That's right," Giselle murmured. "And what do you vow to me?"
Tara released the thumb with a soft pop. "I vow to serve you. To worship your body every day. To never touch myself without your permission. To live for your pleasure."
"On your knees on this mountain, you swear it?"
"I swear it." Tara's voice broke. "I swear it on my life."
Giselle crouched down in front of her, bringing her face level with Tara's. The wind howled around them, but Tara felt only the warmth of Giselle's body, the intensity of her gaze.
"Look at me," Giselle said.
Tara looked.
"I accept your vow," Giselle said, each word deliberate. "You are mine. From this day forward, you belong to me. And I will take care of you."
Tara's heart swelled. She felt tears streaming down her face, but she was smiling. She opened her mouth to speak, but Giselle leaned in and kissed her.
It was not like the other kisses. Not the hesitant, instructional kisses of the first nights. Not the desperate, hungry kisses of the storm-bound shelter. This was slow, deliberate, claiming. Giselle's lips pressed against hers with firm possession, her tongue sliding into Tara's mouth with a confidence that said you are mine.
Tara melted into the kiss, her hands coming up to grip Giselle's waist. She felt Giselle's fingers threading through her hair, pulling her closer. The world fell away. There was only the taste of Giselle's mouth, the feel of her tongue, the pressure of her lips claiming every inch of Tara's.
When Giselle finally pulled back, Tara was breathless, her lips swollen, her body trembling.
"That was the first kiss of your new life," Giselle said, her voice rough. "Remember it."
Tara nodded, not trusting her voice.
Giselle's hand moved to the hem of her own shirt. In one fluid motion, she pulled it over her head and let the wind take it. Her sports bra followed, discarded on the granite beside her. Her breasts stood firm, nipples hardened by the cold mountain air, and Tara couldn't look away.
"You said you'd worship me," Giselle said, her voice dropping lower. "Show me."
Tara's hands rose to Giselle's hips, her fingers hooking into the waistband of her hiking pants. She pulled them down slowly, pressing kisses to Giselle's stomach as the fabric slid away. Giselle stepped out of her boots and pants, standing above Tara in nothing but her underwear, the wind whipping across her bare skin.
Tara leaned forward and pressed her mouth to Giselle's inner thigh. The skin was warm despite the cold, and she could smell the musk of arousal already building. She kissed higher, her lips trailing along the edge of Giselle's underwear, feeling the heat radiating through the thin fabric.
"Take them off," Giselle commanded.
Tara pulled the underwear down and let it drop. Giselle's pussy was already glistening, the dark hair neatly trimmed. Tara pressed her face forward and breathed in deeply, filling her lungs with the scent of the woman she now belonged to.
"Please," Tara whispered. "Let me taste you."
Giselle's fingers gripped Tara's hair. "You don't need to ask permission for this anymore. This is what you were made for."
Tara's tongue found Giselle's folds and traced along them slowly, savoring the first taste. Giselle shuddered above her, her grip tightening in Tara's hair. Tara licked deeper, parting the lips with her tongue, finding the swollen clit and circling it with slow, deliberate strokes.
"That's it," Giselle breathed, her voice ragged. "Just like that. You're mine, Tara. Your mouth is mine."
Tara moaned against her, the vibration making Giselle gasp. She sucked the clit gently, then harder, alternating between licking and sucking as Giselle's hips began to rock against her face. The taste was overwhelming, salty and sweet and musky, and Tara felt her own arousal pooling between her thighs.
She slid two fingers inside Giselle, feeling the walls clench around her. Giselle cried out, her head falling back, her breasts heaving with each ragged breath. Tara fucked her slowly at first, then faster, curling her fingers to find the spot that made Giselle's whole body jerk.
"Don't stop," Giselle gasped. "Don't you dare stop."
Tara didn't stop. She worked her fingers in and out while her tongue continued its relentless assault on Giselle's clit. She could feel the orgasm building in the way Giselle's thighs trembled, the way her breathing grew sharp and desperate.
When Giselle came, she came with a cry that echoed off the rocks. Her pussy clenched hard around Tara's fingers, and a rush of wetness flooded Tara's chin. Tara kept licking, kept sucking, drawing out every last wave of pleasure until Giselle finally pushed her away with shaking hands.
Tara sat back on her heels, her face wet with Giselle's pleasure, and looked up at her owner with adoration.
"Good girl," Giselle murmured, still catching her breath. She reached down and pulled Tara to her feet, then kissed her deeply, tasting herself on Tara's lips. "That was the first worship of your new life. Remember it."
Tara nodded, tears and pleasure mingling on her face.
Giselle dressed quickly, efficiently, and offered Tara her hand. Tara took it and stood, her knees sore from the rock. She stood beside her instructor, her owner, and looked out at the mountains.
"I'm yours," she said again, quieter now, but no less certain.
Giselle's hand found hers and squeezed. "I know."
The other women crested the ridge, their voices carrying on the wind. They gathered on the summit, laughing and taking photos. Tara stood among them, but she felt separate, wrapped in a secret that sang through her blood. The taste of Giselle still lingered on her tongue.
Giselle moved through the group, checking on everyone. But her eyes kept finding Tara. Each glance was a reminder of the vow. Each small smile was a promise.
When they finally began the descent, Tara felt different. Lighter. Her pack no longer seemed heavy. The trail was the same, but she was not. She was claimed.
She walked behind Giselle, watching the sway of her hips, the strength in her shoulders. And she smiled, knowing that when they reached the bottom, she would not be going home. She would be going with Giselle.
That was the vow. That was the promise.
And she intended to keep it.
Return Changed
The base camp parking lot felt smaller than Tara remembered. A week ago she had climbed out of her Honda Civic with a duffel bag and a knot of anxiety in her chest. Now she stood beside the same car, the same duffel at her feet, and felt nothing but distance from the woman she had been.
The other women were hugging goodbye, exchanging phone numbers, already planning reunions that would never happen. Tara watched them with a strange detachment. She had been one of them once. She had laughed at their jokes, shared their complaints about sore muscles and bug bites. But that was before.
Now she knew what her mouth was for.
Giselle stood by the supply trailer, clipboard in hand, running through the final inventory. She looked the same as she had on the first day. Lean, weathered, commanding. But Tara saw her differently now. She noticed the way Giselle's fingers moved across the paper, the same fingers that had been inside her. She studied the set of Giselle's jaw, the same jaw she had kissed on the summit.
Tara's hand moved to her phone. She had turned it on shortly before and found a string of texts from her mother, from her ex-boyfriend, from her boss. They all seemed like they were from another life. She typed a quick reply to her landlord saying she was extending her trip, then turned the phone off again.
She didn't want to go home.
The thought came clearly, without panic. She didn't want to go back to her apartment, to her desk job, to the person she had been. That person was a ghost now, a collection of memories that no longer fit.
Tara picked up her duffel bag and walked toward Giselle.
Giselle looked up from her clipboard. Her eyes did that thing they always did when they landed on Tara. A slight softening around the edges, a possessive glint that made Tara's knees weak.
"Everything okay?" Giselle asked.
"I'm not going home."
The words came out steady. Tara felt a small surge of pride at how calm she sounded.
Giselle set the clipboard down on the trailer hitch. She crossed her arms, but the gesture wasn't forbidding. It was waiting.
"Explain that to me," Giselle said.
Tara took a breath. She had thought about this moment during the long hike out. She had rehearsed a dozen different versions of what to say. But now that Giselle was looking at her, all the careful speeches evaporated.
"I don't have a home to go back to," Tara said. "Not one that means anything. My apartment is just a place I slept. My job is just a thing I did. None of it feels real anymore. The only thing that feels real is you."
Giselle's expression didn't change, but something in her posture relaxed.
"That's a big statement to make in a parking lot," Giselle said.
"I know. But I mean it. I don't want to go back to pretending I'm something I'm not. You showed me what I am. I'm yours. So where do you go? I want to go there too."
Giselle was quiet for a long moment. The sounds of the other women loading their cars drifted across the lot. Someone laughed. A car door slammed.
"Once you leave this parking lot with me, you don't get to change your mind," Giselle said. "I'm not going to be your experiment. I'm not going to be your wilderness fling that you tell stories about at parties. If you come home with me, you come home to stay."
Tara felt her heart speed up. But she didn't hesitate.
"I know what I'm asking for."
Giselle studied her for another long moment. Then she nodded once, a sharp decisive motion.
"Then put your bag in my truck."
Tara's breath caught. She picked up her duffel and carried it to the old blue pickup parked at the edge of the lot. She set it in the bed beside Giselle's gear. It felt like the most important thing she had ever done.
The drive took a couple of hours. Giselle's house was north of the trailhead, deeper into the mountains, on a gravel road that wound through pine and aspen. It was a small cabin with a metal roof and a wide porch, surrounded by nothing but trees and sky.
Tara stepped out of the truck and looked at her new home.
It was nothing like her old apartment. There was no doorman, no elevator, no concrete. Just wood and glass with the smell of pine. A woodpile stacked neatly beside the porch. A garden hose coiled beside the steps. A pair of muddy boots by the front door.
Giselle unlocked the door and held it open. Tara walked inside.
The cabin was one room with a loft. A wood stove in the corner. A kitchen counter with a propane stove. A bed in the loft that you reached by a ladder. Everything was simple and functional and clearly Giselle's.
Tara stood in the middle of the room, her duffel bag in her hand, not sure what to do. She felt suddenly shy, as if the intimacy of the wilderness had been a different thing from the intimacy of a real home.
Giselle closed the door behind them. The sound of the latch clicking into place felt final.
"Put your bag in the corner," Giselle said. "You can unpack later. First, we need to talk about how this works."
Tara set her bag down and turned to face Giselle. Her instructor. Her guide. Her owner now.
"This is your home," Giselle said. "You live here now. That means you follow my rules. Not because I'm punishing you, but because this is what you asked for. This is what you wanted. Do you understand?"
"Yes," Tara said.
"Say it clearly."
"I understand."
Giselle stepped closer. She reached out and touched Tara's chin, tilting her face up.
"You're going to be my partner in every way that matters," Giselle said. "You're going to sleep in my bed, eat at my table, share my life. But you're also going to serve me. That's what you asked for. That's what I'm giving you. Do you still want it?"
Tara felt tears prick at her eyes. Not from sadness. From relief.
"Yes," she whispered. "I want it. I want you. I want this life."
Giselle kissed her. It was different from the summit kiss. That had been claiming, public, symbolic. This was private. This was home. Giselle's lips were soft and sure, and her hand cradled the back of Tara's head with a tenderness that made Tara's chest ache.
"Good girl," Giselle murmured against her mouth. "Let me show you around."
The rest of the afternoon passed in a quiet rhythm. Giselle showed her where the dishes went, how to light the propane stove, which wood was seasoned and which was still green. Tara listened and learned, her mind cataloging every detail.
They made dinner together. Giselle chopped vegetables while Tara boiled water for rice. Their shoulders touched at the small counter. Tara felt a continuous low hum of contentment, a sense of rightness that she had never experienced in her old life.
After dinner, they sat on the porch and watched the sun set behind the mountains. Giselle's hand found Tara's knee and squeezed.
"You did good today," Giselle said. "I know it's a lot to adjust to."
"I'm not adjusting," Tara said. "I'm finally where I'm supposed to be."
Giselle looked at her with something that might have been wonder. Then she stood and offered Tara her hand.
"Come to bed."
The loft was reached by a ladder. The bed was a queen mattress on the floor, covered in flannel sheets and a thick down comforter. There was no tent wall between them, no sleeping bag, no wilderness pretext. Just a bed.
Tara undressed slowly, aware of Giselle watching her from the foot of the mattress. She felt no shame, only a deep desire to be seen, to be known.
Giselle was already naked by the time Tara finished. She lay back on the pillows, one arm behind her head, her legs slightly apart. The lamplight caught the muscles of her stomach, the dark hair between her thighs.
"Come here," Giselle said.
Tara crawled onto the bed. The mattress was soft underneath her knees. She moved between Giselle's legs, settling into the space that felt like hers now.
But Giselle stopped her with a hand on her hair.
"Not yet. I want to feel you first."
Giselle pulled her up, into an embrace. Tara pressed her face against Giselle's neck, breathing in the scent of her skin. Soap and sweat with something faintly green underneath.
Giselle's hands moved down her back, slow and deliberate. Tracing her spine. Cupping her ass. Pulling her closer until their bodies were pressed together from chest to thigh.
"I've been thinking about this all week," Giselle said. "About having you in my bed. My real bed. With no one watching and no one listening."
Tara lifted her head to look at Giselle's face. Her dark eyes were soft in the lamplight.
"I've been thinking about it too," Tara said. "Every night in the tent, I imagined what it would be like to just... be with you. Not as a lesson. Not as training. Just as your girl."
Giselle's jaw tightened. She rolled them over, pinning Tara beneath her. The weight of Giselle's body was familiar now, but no less thrilling.
"My girl," Giselle repeated. "That's what you are. Say it."
"I'm your girl."
"Again."
"I'm your girl, Giselle."
Giselle kissed her hard, a claiming kiss that left Tara breathless and wet. Then Giselle moved down her body, her mouth leaving a trail of heat across Tara's throat, her collarbone, the swell of her breasts.
Tara arched into the touch. Her hands found Giselle's shoulders, gripping as Giselle's tongue circled her nipple. The wet heat of her mouth closed around it, sucking gently at first, then with more pressure. Tara's back bowed off the mattress, a soft moan escaping her lips.
Giselle's hand found her other breast, rolling the nipple between her thumb and forefinger while her mouth continued its work. The dual sensation sent sparks down Tara's spine. She tangled her fingers in Giselle's short hair, holding her close.
This was different from the wilderness. There was no urgency, no fear of being caught. No lesson to learn, no barrier to break. Just two women in a bed, one giving and the other receiving.
Giselle took her time. She kissed a slow path down Tara's ribs, her stomach, the sharp edge of her hipbone. She pressed her lips to the crease of Tara's thigh, then the other, taking her breath with each touch. Tara trembled under the attention, her breath coming in soft gasps.
When Giselle finally settled between her thighs, Tara was already slick and ready. But Giselle didn't rush. She pressed soft kisses to the inside of Tara's thighs, her tongue tracing patterns on sensitive skin. She breathed warm air against Tara's center, close enough to feel the heat radiating from her but not yet touching.
"Please," Tara whispered.
"Please what?"
"Please let me serve you."
Giselle looked up at her. Her face was flushed, her lips wet.
"You want to taste me?"
"Yes. Please. I need to."
Giselle smiled. It was a soft smile, different from the commanding looks she used in the wilderness. This was private. This was hers.
"Then come up here."
Tara moved without hesitation. She crawled up the bed, turning so that she was positioned above Giselle's face, her own face hovering over Giselle's stomach. She lowered herself slowly, feeling Giselle's tongue find her immediately.
The first touch made her gasp. Giselle's mouth was warm and knowing, finding all the places that made Tara's hips buck. Giselle's tongue parted her folds, circling her clit with a slow, deliberate rhythm. Tara's arms trembled as she held herself up, trying to focus through the waves of pleasure.
But Tara didn't lose focus. She leaned down and pressed her mouth to Giselle's center.
The taste was familiar now. The salt and musk of her guide, her owner, her home. Tara closed her eyes and let herself sink into the rhythm. She traced her tongue along Giselle's folds, learning the shape of her, the places that made her thighs tighten. She found Giselle's clit and circled it slowly, mirroring the rhythm Giselle was setting between her own legs.
Giselle moaned against her, and the vibration traveled through Tara's whole body. She redoubled her efforts, sucking gently, then harder, feeling Giselle's hips rise to meet her mouth. The response was intoxicating. Knowing she could make this woman, this strong and commanding woman, lose control with her mouth.
They moved together in the quiet cabin. The only sounds were wet and soft, the creak of the mattress, the occasional gasp. Tara lost herself in the act of giving. She varied her pace, sometimes slow and teasing, sometimes fast and firm, reading Giselle's body like a map she was learning to navigate.
Giselle's fingers dug into Tara's hips, pulling her down closer to her mouth. Her own tongue moved faster, more insistent, and Tara felt her own orgasm building. But she didn't want to come first. She wanted to please Giselle. She wanted to make her fall apart.
She slid two fingers inside Giselle, curving them upward as her tongue continued its work. Giselle's back arched off the mattress, a strangled cry escaping her throat. Tara felt the walls of her cunt clench around her fingers, felt the tremor run through Giselle's entire body.
"That's it," Tara whispered against her. "Come for me."
Giselle came. Her body arched, her fingers digging into Tara's hips as she cried out. The sound was raw and beautiful, and Tara felt a surge of pride. She kept her mouth on Giselle, her fingers still moving inside her, drawing out every last wave of pleasure until the trembling stopped.
Then Tara lifted her head and kissed her way up Giselle's body. Her stomach. Her ribs. Her chest. Her neck. She found Giselle's mouth and kissed her, letting her taste herself on Tara's lips.
"Your turn," Giselle said, her voice rough.
But Tara shook her head. She settled beside Giselle, her head on her shoulder, her hand resting on her stomach.
"I'm already satisfied," Tara said. "Just being here. Being yours. That's enough."
Giselle turned her head to look at her. Her eyes were soft, her expression open in a way Tara had never seen before.
"You really mean that."
"I really do."
Giselle pulled her closer, wrapping an arm around her. Tara felt the steady beat of Giselle's heart against her cheek.
"I love you," Giselle said.
The words hung in the air, simple and true. Tara felt tears slide down her cheeks.
"I love you too."
They lay there in the quiet dark, the cabin settling around them. The wood stove ticked as it cooled. The wind moved through the pine trees outside. Tara felt more at peace than she had in her entire life.
In the morning, she woke to the smell of coffee. Giselle was already up, standing at the counter in nothing but a flannel shirt. Tara watched her for a moment, memorizing the lines of her body, the way the morning light caught the gray in her short hair.
Giselle turned and caught her looking. She smiled, that private smile that was only for Tara.
"Good morning."
"Good morning."
Tara got out of bed and walked to her. She wrapped her arms around Giselle from behind, pressing her face between her shoulder blades.
"Thank you," Tara said.
"For what?"
"For taking me home."
Giselle turned in her arms and kissed her forehead.
"You are home, Tara. You always will be."
Tara helped with breakfast. She learned where the mugs were, how Giselle liked her eggs, which drawer held the silverware. The small domestic tasks felt like prayers, each one a devotion.
Later, Giselle showed her the rest of the property. A small shed with extra gear. A trail that led to a creek. A spot where the sun hit a flat rock just right for afternoon naps.
"This is my life," Giselle said. "Simple. Quiet. Alone until now."
"Not alone anymore," Tara said.
"No. Not anymore."
They stood on the porch, looking out at the mountains. Tara's hand found Giselle's. She thought about the woman she had been a week ago. The woman who had been afraid of everything, who had hidden behind office clothes and polite smiles.
That woman was gone now. In her place was someone who knew what she wanted. Someone who had found her purpose on her knees in the dirt, with a woman's taste on her tongue and a woman's voice telling her she was good.
Tara squeezed Giselle's hand.
"What do you need me to do today?"
Giselle looked at her. Her eyes were dark and warm.
"Just be here. That's all I need."
But Tara knew there was more. She knew there would be chores and quiet evenings. She knew there would be nights on her knees and mornings in Giselle's arms. She knew there would be a life built from small acts of service and large acts of love.
And she was ready for all of it.
She followed Giselle back inside, the screen door closing behind them with a soft click. The cabin was warm and smelled like coffee and wood smoke. Tara picked up her duffel bag and carried it to the loft.
She unpacked slowly, putting her clothes in the drawer Giselle had cleared for her. It was a small space, barely half a drawer. But it was enough.
It was more than enough.
It was home.
