First File
Ivy sprawled across the couch with her laptop balanced on her knees, the screen glowing in the low light of their living room. Cole sat beside her, one arm draped along the back of the cushions, his fingers idly tracing the edge of her shoulder. They had been laughing for the last ten minutes over a stupid bet about who could go longer without checking their phones during movie night. Ivy had lost, of course, and now Cole was grinning at her with that easy, competitive spark in his eyes.
"Alright, payment time," he said. "You said you'd try anything I picked if you lost. So here it is. That free sample from that audio creator everyone's whispering about. The one with the custom files."
Ivy rolled her eyes but smiled, her wavy auburn hair falling across one cheek. "Fine. Download it. But if it's some cheesy porn voice telling us to touch ourselves in sync, I'm blaming you for the rest of the week."
Cole chuckled and clicked the link. The file downloaded in seconds, a simple MP3 labeled "Sample: Tease Loop Intro." He hit play and set the laptop on the coffee table, leaning back as the speakers crackled to life.
A soft, velvety voice filled the room. Mira's voice, low and patient, wrapped around them like warm silk. "Hello there. Let's start slow. Just the two of you, sitting close. Imagine for a moment that you're not alone in this room. There's someone else watching. Not touching. Just watching. Would that make you shift a little closer to your partner? Would it make you wonder what they see?"
Ivy snorted, but the sound came out softer than she meant it to. Cole glanced at her, his mouth twitching. The voice continued, threading through light, dirty hypotheticals without ever pushing hard. "Picture your hands resting on each other's thighs. Nothing more. Just the weight of them. Now picture another pair of eyes on those hands. Does that make the skin under your palms feel warmer?"
They both laughed at the first one, Ivy elbowing Cole lightly. "This is ridiculous," she said, but her voice had already dropped half an octave. The audio kept going, layering suggestion after suggestion in that endlessly patient tone. "Breathe in. Let the thought settle. What if your partner had to describe exactly what they wanted to do next, but only while that third set of eyes stayed on you both?"
Cole shifted on the couch. Ivy felt it. The laughter came again, quick and shared, but it didn't chase away the slow curl of warmth low in her belly. The voice never commanded outright. It just offered pictures, soft and teasing. "Maybe you'd like to test how long you can stay still while those words keep coming. Maybe you'd like to see how your partner reacts when the words get a little filthier."
By the time the file ended, fifteen minutes had passed. Ivy's cheeks felt warm. Cole adjusted himself subtly, the front of his jeans not quite as loose as before. Neither of them reached for the other right away. They just sat there breathing, the room suddenly quiet except for the faint hum of the laptop fan.
"Well," Cole said finally, rubbing the back of his neck. "That was... something."
Ivy laughed again, but it sounded breathier. "I mean, it was silly. Right? All those 'what if someone was watching' lines. Like a bad fantasy script." She paused, green eyes flicking to his. "Except my pulse is doing this weird thing."
Cole nodded. "Yeah. Same. I was half-hard through most of it and we didn't even do anything." He gave a short, surprised laugh. "Didn't expect that. The way she kept circling back to us reacting to each other while someone else just... observed. It snuck up on me."
They talked for a while longer, dissecting the experience without rushing. Ivy admitted the hypotheticals had made her imagine Cole's hand higher on her thigh than it actually was. Cole confessed the idea of someone watching had made him hyper-aware of every small movement Ivy made. Neither pushed for more. The arousal stayed light, simmering, no release needed yet. It left a curious itch behind.
The evening drifted on. They ordered takeout, ate on the couch, and kept circling back to the audio in between bites. Ivy's bratty streak showed in the way she teased Cole about how still he had sat, but her voice softened when she admitted the curiosity lingered. "I keep wondering what the paid ones sound like," she said. "If that was just the free sample, maybe the real stuff goes further. Not that we need it. But..."
Cole watched her, his calm eyes steady. "But the seed's there. Yeah. I noticed it too. The way it made us talk about things we don't usually say out loud."
Later, when the lights were low and they had moved to the bedroom, the conversation followed them under the sheets. Ivy curled against Cole's side, her fingers tracing idle patterns on his chest. The intimacy stayed slow, unhurried, a natural extension of the evening rather than a direct reaction to the audio. Still, the topic wove through every touch and murmur.
"If we subscribed," Ivy said quietly, her breath warm against his skin, "it would just be for fun. A few files. See what happens."
Cole's hand settled on the curve of her hip. "No pressure. We could cancel anytime. But that voice... it had a way of making the idea stick. The thought of daily drops or whatever they offer. It plants something."
They didn't decide outright that night. The choice formed gradually, between kisses and shared laughter, between Ivy's teasing remarks about wanting to hear more and Cole's quiet admissions that the half-arousal from earlier still hummed at the edges of his thoughts. By the time sleep pulled them under, the laptop sat open on the nightstand, the subscription page already loaded, cursor hovering over the button.
The seed had taken root, light and curious, waiting for the next morning to see what they would do with it.
