The Sheer Beginning

Becky Tiler stepped through the glass doors of Julius & Associates with her usual stride, shoulders back and chin lifted, but her stomach twisted with the kind of anticipation she usually reserved for client pitches. The luxury lingerie campaign was hers to land or lose, and Greg Julius had made it clear this morning that authenticity mattered more than polish. She adjusted her tailored blazer, feeling the weight of her long dark hair against her olive-skinned neck, and told herself this was just another calculated risk.

The office hummed with morning energy, keyboards clacking and low conversations drifting from open cubicles. Becky headed straight for Greg's corner office, her heels clicking a steady rhythm on the marble. She knocked once and pushed the door open without waiting for an answer. Greg stood by the window, tall and broad in a charcoal suit that matched the sharp line of his jaw. His piercing blue eyes flicked over her once, assessing.

"Right on time," he said, voice low and even. "Close the door."

She did, and he gestured to the garment bag draped over the leather chair. "Your first uniform for the campaign. Try it on here so I can see how it sits."

Becky's fingers hesitated on the zipper. "Uniform?"

"The product line needs real-world testing. This is the starting piece, sheer enough to feel the edge but still professional. Go on."

She stepped behind the folding screen in the corner of his office and changed quickly, peeling off her blouse and skirt. The new top was a delicate silk blouse, so fine it was almost transparent, the black lace of her bra clearly visible through the fabric. The micro-skirt hugged her hips and stopped high on her thighs, barely covering the tops of her stockings. When she stepped out, Greg's gaze lingered, a small approving nod the only reaction.

"Perfect. Wear it to the team meeting. Keep the blazer on for now if you need the armor, but lose it once the discussion starts. We need everyone comfortable with the direction."

Becky swallowed, the cool air of the office brushing her skin through the sheer material. "Understood. This is just the beginning, right?"

"Exactly." He moved closer, adjusting the collar of the blouse with two precise fingers. "Remember why you're doing this. Career moves forward when you stop playing it safe."

She nodded, gathered the garment bag, and headed for the conference room. The team was already gathering, Tracy Lyland, the petite blonde intern, sliding into a seat near the head of the table with her notebook open. Becky took her usual spot and shrugged off the blazer, draping it over the chair back. A few heads turned. Whispers started low, but the meeting moved on as slides lit up the screen.

Tension built slowly in her chest. The blouse caught the light every time she shifted, outlining the curve of her breasts and the dark lace beneath. She kept her posture straight, voice steady as she presented the initial campaign angles. Across the table, Tracy glanced up from her notes and froze for a second, cheeks pink. Becky felt the stare like a physical touch.

She reached for her tablet, leaning forward, and the movement pulled the micro-skirt higher. The fabric slipped, and for one clear second her panties flashed into view, sheer black and barely there. Tracy's eyes widened, her pen slipping from her fingers and rolling across the table. Becky straightened fast, heart hammering, but the damage was done. Heat flooded her face, then lower, a surprising pulse between her legs that made her cross her ankles under the table.

She tried to focus on the discussion, but the flush wouldn't fade. Every time Tracy's gaze darted back, that same sharp thrill answered inside her. It was accidental, professional lines still intact, yet the exposure sent a warm rush through her core that she hadn't expected. Greg caught her eye from the end of the table, one corner of his mouth lifting in the smallest smile.

"Becky, walk us through the photoshoot schedule," he prompted, voice calm, commanding.

She cleared her throat, forcing the words out while the memory of that flash lingered, the way Tracy's blush mirrored her own rising heat. The meeting continued, but Becky's thoughts drifted to how thin the blouse really was, how visible everything felt under the team's careful glances. Her pulse stayed quick, a new awareness settling in her skin like the first spark of something she wasn't ready to name yet.

After the meeting broke, Tracy lingered near the door, voice soft. "Ms. Tiler, you dropped this." She held out Becky's pen, eyes carefully averted but cheeks still flushed.

"Thanks, Tracy." Becky took it, fingers brushing, and felt another small jolt. She slipped the blazer back on, the fabric a temporary shield, but the sensation under it remained, warm and insistent.

Greg appeared at her side as the room emptied. "How did it feel?"

"Exposed," she admitted, keeping her tone even. "But effective for the pitch."

"Good. Tomorrow we push it further. Same rules, same outfit adjusted." His hand rested briefly on the small of her back, guiding her toward the hallway. "You're handling the first step well, Becky. Most people would have refused outright."

She walked back to her desk with the words echoing, the sheer blouse still brushing her skin with every step. The flash replayed in her mind, the way Tracy's eyes had widened, the answering clench low in her belly. It was just the beginning, she reminded herself, but the first flush of arousal refused to fade, leaving her both unsettled and quietly curious about what came next.
